BACHELOR OF ARTS (BA)
With a BA, you gain insight in a variety of areas within the Humanities and Social Sciences, and you have the flexibility to choose from a wide selection of courses. You can choose a major (or double major) in your area(s) of interest such as Aviation, Interdisciplinary Studies, Psychology, and more.
BACHELOR OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (BBA)
The BBA is designed to give you broad business knowledge while also developing your practical, managerial, and communication skills. Students will develop competencies in problem solving, goal setting, team management, and leadership.
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE (BSc)
The BSc, with new majors in Environmental Science and BiologyPsychology, is a foundational program grounded in scientific methods and practical skills acquired through classroom learning and labs. You can take prerequisites for further study in areas such as medicine, kinesiology, nursing, and pharmacy.

Get the well-rounded education that major airlines are seeking through courses at Providence and flight training at Harv’s Air. Earn a bachelor’s degree and complete the necessary certification to become a private or commercial pilot.

MULTI-ENGINE INSTRUMENT FLYING: Learn the theory and practice flying a multi-engine aircraft. Gain knowledge of aerodynamics, speeds, aircraft systems, performance, and emergency procedures. Earn a multi-engine endorsement on your licence upon completion.
AEROBATICS: Learn how to fly an aerobatic aircraft and expand your skills significantly as a pilot. Gain skills in maneuvers like Chandelles, Lazy Eights and Barrel Rolls, and then try your hand at the more advanced tricks.
ADVANCED NAVIGATION FLIGHT LAB: Fly across the United States, all the way to California, and learn both Canadian and American flight rules and regulations.

In addition to Private and Commercial pilot licences, Aviation students also have access to earning an Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL), which is the highest licence one can earn as a civil airplane pilot. This allows one to be the captain or pilot in command of a multi-crew airplane.
BIBLICAL STUDIES

In this multidisciplinary program, explore the ancient languages, history, social setting, and literary genres of the biblical text, as well as how it is interpreted in contexts such as the Church, the academy, and in popular culture.

THE PENTATEUCH: Study the history, theology and literacy of the books Genesis through Deuteronomy. Discover the importance of these books in art and culture and the way in which the Pentateuch continues to shape the Church and the modern world.
EARLY CHRISTIANITY I: A study of the earthly life and ministry of Jesus in the light of the political, social, religious, and literary background of the New Testament. The course gives attention to key themes (e.g. Lordship and Messianic role) to which the contents of the four Gospels attest.

Interested in biology and its intersection with social science? Pursue an interdisciplinary degree that combines topics such cell biology and pharmacology with the fields of cognitive, social, and developmental psychology.

CELL BIOLOGY: This course explores the dynamics of the plasma membrane, establishment of the cytoskeleton, components of the extracellular matrix, mechanisms of cell death, and biology of the intracellular organelles.

MANAGING DIGITAL ENTERPRISE: A critical examination of how information systems and digital networks are currently used or could be developed to enhance the management process and promote business outcomes. ECOLOGY: Students are introduced to the scientific study of the relationships between organisms and their environment. Topics explored include adaptations of organisms to their environment, population dynamics, energy flow, nutrient cycling, and trophic interactions.
FIELD METHODS: Students will learn to think and work like a field scientist. They will investigate different organisms or soil in different ecological settings. The principles of design, execution, and interpretation of data derived from field sampling programs and experiments will be the focus of this course.

SCIENTIFIC WRITING & COMMUNICATIONS: This course examines the scientific method and introduces the style of scientific communication. Modes of communication include written scientific articles, slide presentations, and poster presentations. This course meets the professional studies requirement.

MAJOR ENGLISH WRITERS I: An introductory course to selected writers of the major genres of English poetry, prose, and drama from the Middle Ages to the 18th Century. Students will be introduced to the discipline of literary and textual criticism. They will develop stronger writing and research skills.
WESTERN CIVILIZATION II: This introductory survey to Western history will examine selected issues, peoples, and events from the Middle Ages to the 20th Century. Students will be introduced to several approaches historians have taken to understand the past.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The Indigenous Studies minor focuses on the concept of a mutual learning exchange between cultures within and beyond North America. It will help develop students’ hearts and minds through an integration of content from the disciplines of biblical studies, emerging theologies, contemporary social theories, anthropology, missiology, church history, contextualized leadership, and spiritual formation.

INDIGENOUS AND CANADIAN HISTORY: Providing a historical survey of Indigenous history in Canada, course topics may include Indigenous interaction with explorers, traders and the shifting economies, the relationship of church and missionaries within the colonial structures, the rise and resistance of the Métis and other Indigenous peoples, treaty-making, legacies of residential schools and child welfare, contemporary cultural resurgence, and urban indigeneity.
INDIGENOUS APPROACHES TO THEOLOGY: This course will delve into unique Indigenous theological contributions to the meaning of Christian faith and life. A thematic approach will be used to explore topics such as the intersection of individual experience with the Creator, the nature of the spiritual and spirituality, the Gospel story, and redemption by contrasting Indigenous views with Western theological methods.
