College & Harv’s Air

GET YOUR UNIVERSITY DEGREE while studying Aviation at Providence. You can earn your Private Pilot Licence (PPL), Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL), or obtain the highest certification one can earn as a civil airplane pilot with an Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL).
Providence’s local partner Harv’s Air has one of the largest airline fleets in the country, own and operate their own private airport in Steinbach, and provide training to more ground schools than all other flight schools in Canada combined.

Providence is located on a 100-acre campus in a rural, prairie setting – only 25 minutes from Harv’s Air in Steinbach and 30 minutes from Winnipeg, Manitoba. At flight school, you’ll accumulate in-flight hours, acquire training to pass your PPL, CPL and ATPL exams and earn ratings (or endorsements) for skill requirements such as flying at night. At university, you can choose from various course offerings to complete your degree.

You can choose to do a double major. For instance, get your BA in Aviation and Business, or Aviation and Intercultural Studies.
Harv’s Air has been training pilots since 1973. Their staff have a combined 35,000 hours of flight training experience.
Both Providence and Harv’s Air are smaller schools which means your instructors have the time to mentor and get to know you one-on-one.
You have access to a full motion VFR and IFR training simulator. You also get trained in an aircraft that has the same flight deck and avionics as the airplane you might be flying in your first job.

, you will hit several important milestones that mark your progress throughout the program, starting with your first solo flight. You will have the opportunity to fly a variety of single and multi-engine planes while logging valuable instrument training hours so that you can obtain the pilot ratings and licenses that you need to graduate.
