In a survey ranking users’ sixteen most pressing issues, climate change has ranked third[1] .This looming phenomenon is increasing exponentially by the day, scientists’ approximations of the beginning of humanity’s eventual wipeout due to climate change ranges from as long as 12 years[2] from today, to as short as 17 months.[3]

With news like this, and daily natural disasters that are occurring all over the world, the question is raised: What future are we going to have? What future will the next generations have? Activists all over the world are protesting climate change, by staging strikes in Madrid[4], holding funerals for their future in Vancouver[5], Greta Thunberg and Helena Gualinga are traveling to international conferences from their remote homes to call for help with the severity of these global circumstances. As such, more and more people are picking up their individual and organizational responsibilities to act in more environmentally conscious ways, striving towards net zero and net positive results. From neighbors deciding to carpool, to governments placing emphasis on public transit, pedestrian, and biking cultures, to a rising trend in green businesses to respond to the growing eco-conscious market of consumers, to boards, student bodies, and different organizations retrofitting and ‘greening’ university campuses to conserve resources efficiently, while still providing comfortable and healthy environments to learn in.
