C+C PHOTOGRAPHY GALLERY

Brilliant, witty, playful, alive — that is perhaps the most accurate way to describe C+C Photography Gallery, a space that reaches far beyond fine photography and becomes something altogether more invigorating: a place where one is gently, unmistakably reminded of what it feels like to be fully awake. With a presence in New York, Nantucket, and Palm Beach, the gallery hums with a curated chorus of

visionary photographers drawn from different decades, continents, and artistic temperaments, each adding their own timbre to an ever-evolving visual symphony.

There is Dean West, whose meticulously staged, multilayered compositions blur the line between reality and imagination, inviting viewers into carefully constructed worlds where every element engages in a silent dialogue.

Dean West - Luis (The Wrangler) #1, 2010

His acclaimed series — from mythology-infused narratives to explorations of contemporary identity — has earned him international recognition and a devoted following among sophisticated collectors in North America and Europe.

Alongside him stands Alison Jackson, whose provocative tableaux featuring a Queen Elizabeth lookalike deliver a mischievous commentary on fame and fantasy. The timeless brilliance of Al Satterwhite brings us into the orbit of a young, unstoppable Stevie Wonder in the 1970s — all energy, genius, and irresistible joy. Just across the room, the cinematic glamour of Milton H. Greene unfolds in his legendary 1956 Beverly Hills gathering, where Marilyn Monroe shines not as an icon but as a living, laughing presence among friends.

And then there is Nathan Coe, this year’s cover artist, whose lush, evocative, cinematic beach landscapes have long drawn viewers into a world defined by sunlight, ease, and quiet allure. In recent years, Coe has introduced the unexpected through subtle human intervention.

The inclusion of the nude female figure — often shown with her back to the camera, seemingly blissfully unaware of the artist’s presence — represents, for

Dean West - Isaac Silhouette # 1, American West, 2024

Coe, the innate human connection to nature in its purest, most unselfconscious form. His images merge the elemental and the intimate, transforming the coastline into a stage where beauty, freedom, and vulnerability coexist in perfect balance.

Together, these artists form not merely a collection but a sensation — a vibrant reminder of life’s unpredictability, elegance, humor, and heat.

In the end, C+C Photography Gallery leaves an imprint — a reminder to live a little fuller, a touch more boldly, and to allow beauty to widen the horizon of what you notice.

Where to Stay

The Colony Hotel + 561 655 5430

Palm Beach’s beloved Pink Paradise continues to charm us year after year, guided by the impeccable management of Bruce Siegel and the visionary ownership of Sarah Wetenhall. The Colony has partnered with Apple TV to celebrate Season 2 of the hit series Palm Royale. As part of this collaboration, the hotel has been transformed into the show’s very own Palm Royale—the ultra-exclusive social club where Maxine Dellacorte (Kristen Wiig) sparkles, schemes, and social-climbs her way through Palm Beach’s glamorous 1960s scene. Stepping inside feels like entering the world of the series itself: Welcome to the club, darling.

Where to Shop

Marissa Collections

Neha Dani High Jewelry

This season, it’s not a matter of where to shop, but what. And the answer is Neha Dani’s extraordinary high jewelry, presented by Marissa Collections. Each piece begins as a hand-sculpted wax form, then transforms—through Dani’s remarkable artistry—into a singular wearable work of art. Rare gemstones, radiant color, and fluid, sculptural silhouettes come together to capture movement, depth, and emotional expression. These are creations meant not just to be worn, but to be remembered.

Island Glamour from St. Barths

Born in St. Barths, Lolita Jaca is one of the island’s most emblematic fashion houses, now beautifully at home on Peruvian Avenue. Founded in Saint Barthélemy, the brand embodies effortless island glamour with its fluid silhouettes, hand-drawn prints, and sumptuous silks. Each piece carries the spirit of St. Barths: relaxed yet refined, bohemian yet impeccably crafted.

Where to Cheers

The Vineta’s New Bar

For longtime Palm Beachers, the former Leopard Lounge was its famed nightlife sanctuary adored by socialites, politicians, and visiting celebrities. Its spirit now returns in a new chapter at The Vineta Hotel. If you’ve ever sipped a martini at the Rémy Bar in St. Barths, you already know Oetker Collection’s mastery of nighttime magic. Expect classic cocktailing, sparkling conversation, and that unmistakable sense of occasion that only a true icon can create.

Coco’s The Vineta Hotel

Everyone is talking about The Vineta, the highly anticipated new hotel from Oetker Collection, which for decades was known as The Chesterfield. But what many don’t yet know is the story behind Coco’s, the property’s signature restaurant.

Coco’s brings authentic Mediterranean cuisine to Palm Beach, featuring beloved dishes from its iconic sister property, Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc. Needless to say, with Eden-Roc heritage behind it, the experience speaks for itself.

Where to Dine Where to Indulge

Bilboquet Market lebilboquetpb.com

Bilboquet surprised us this season with the debut of Bilboquet Market, which has quickly become Palm Beach’s official morning espresso meeting point. A true European gourmet experience, the market keeps everyone lingering with its salads, quiches, pastries, and that unmistakable Bilboquet touch that makes indulgence feel entirely justified. Come prepared to enjoy… and don’t resist it.

FERRARI PUROSANGUE:

A PALM BEACH PRESENCE UNLIKE ANY OTHER

There are cars that turn heads on Worth Avenue, and then there are cars that make conversations stop mid-sentence. Ferrari's Purosangue—the first four-door, four-seater in the Prancing Horse's 75-year history—belongs unapologetically to the latter.Unveiled after years of quiet anticipation, the Purosangue isn't a crossover or an SUV; it is, as Maranello insists, a true Ferrari wearing a four-door silhouette only because modern life demanded that its masterpiece evolve.

Slip inside and the feeling is immediate: this cabin was designed to impress, but more importantly, to connect-quietly, confidently, unmistakably Ferrari. Four sculpted, heated, independently adjustable seats anchor a space defined by intention: Alcantara made from recycled polyester, glass cup holders, and a dual-cockpit layout inspired by the SF90 Stradale.

The Burmester 3D High-End Surround Sound — the brand's first in a Ferrari — unfurls music with the same nuance as a perfectly tuned violin inside the Kravis Center.

But that first impression is only the start.

Press the starter, and the naturally aspirated V12 — the soul of Ferrari — awakens with a controlled, confident force. Delivering 725 cv, with 80% of its torque available at just 2,100 rpm, the Purosangue proves that an engine can be both ferocious and composed, a rare duality that suits morning drives along Ocean Boulevard as effortlessly as spirited sprints toward Wellington at dusk.

Acceleration is, predictably, astonishing: 0-62 mph in 3.3 seconds, the V12 rising to its 8,250-rpm crescendo in a sweep of sound that reveals why Ferrari chose to debut this model with pure combustion. Equal-length manifolds and tuned plenums shape a soundtrack that stays subtle until summoned-then swells into a note only Maranello could compose.

Ferrari's first-ever active suspension system, paired with independent fourwheel steering and the newest generation of Side Slip Control, keeps the car improbably flat through curves, balanced over imperfections, and agile in a way that challenges physics.

Sharp turn-in, instant response, and a weight distribution of 49:51 affirm that this is a Ferrari first and a four-seater second.

Outside, the design is sculpture in motion. A floating upper body, rear-hinged welcome doors, and aerodynamic signatures guiding wind with the precision of a conductor's baton. A carbon-fiber roof, forged wheels inspired by the SF90 Stradale, and a stance that carries an elegance unmistakably at home between palm-lined estates and the valet at Mar-a-Lago.

"The Purosangue's form was conceived as a sculpture that showcases and heightens its stunning aerodynamic development. Physical evidence of this lies in various details including, for instance, the pontoon effect of the aerobridge between front and flanks."

But what makes the Purosangue distinctly suited for Palm Beach isn't its power, nor its engineering, nor even its presence — it is its purpose. Everyone on board can travel comfortably to a polo match, a dinner overlooking the Intracoastal, or a weekend family escape to Ocean Reef Club without sacrificing luggage space or serenity. The rear seats recline, the boot is the largest in Ferrari history, and the ride — thanks to its revolutionary suspension — rivals that of the most discreet grand tourers.

It is, in essence, a Ferrari that blends the best of two worlds: effortless comfort and the kind of performance only Maranello can deliver. As the name promises, the Purosangue opens a new category — carrying Ferrari's legacy forward with absolute fidelity.

On the streets of Palm Beach, it won't just be noticed. It will stand "Unlike Any Other.

KAROLINA KARLSSON

Green Kimono – Lolita Jaca

Karolina Karlsson is a Swedish-American artist based between New York and St. Barth’s. Her style merges Swedish minimalism with Caribbean palettes and themes. She draws inspiration from the human form, food, and illustrative silhouettes, exploring proportion to create designs that are both aesthetically pleasing and playful. Her work has been exhibited internationally, most notably at the Saatchi Gallery in London during Focus Art Fair, The Rosewood Le Guanahani in St. Barth’s, and SCOPE Art Show in Miami.

1.- Your work often feels suspended between place and memory. When you begin a piece, what trace of a moment are you trying to capture, and why that moment?

I aim to capture a feeling of nostalgia. The colours, bikinis, wine, and fruit — all of these elements transport me, and hopefully the viewer, to a moment shared with friends or loved ones. Many of my fondest memories on the island have unfolded over long, joyful lunches by the beach, and I imagine many islanders share that same sentiment. Embarrassingly, I used to shed a tear on the plane every time I left, knowing I’d have to wait another year before experiencing the island again. These paintings are like little love letters to some of the happiest times of my life.

2.- In your studio, what is your companion in creation — a sound, an object, a mood — and how does it guide you toward the finished piece?

Funnily enough, my studio partner is my true companion in creation. Eve B. is my greatest motivator and inspiration. When we’re together, the space transforms into a creative hub, full of ideas and collaborative energy which has lead to art collaborations. The combination of having a team mate and being surrounded by the vibrance of the scenery of St. Barths in the winter completes the vision behind my work.

3.- Travel, time, and terrain are themes we know you explore. What unexpected location or landscape recently inspired you, and how did it translate into colour or texture?

Sweden has an unexpected influence on my art style. The yellows and blues, clean lines, and minimalist silhouttes are shaped by my Scandinavian heritage. These elements remind me of summer time on Sweden’s West Coast. Coincidentally, St. Barth’s was a Swedish colony for nearly a century, and the island still carries a distinctly Scandinavian essence that continues to influence my style, even here in the Caribbean.

4.- For a viewer encountering your piece for the first time, what subtle invitation are you extending — a silence, a question, or a sensation?

My paintings are windows into memories with my favourite people — filled with laughter, dancing, eating, drinking, and being unapologetically goofy. They’re about unlocking a youthful part of ourselves, where life feels less serious and more indulgent. I am inviting the viewer into these moments so they can relive a special memory with their friends, or, to create new ones.

5.- Looking ahead to your next chapter of work, what new horizon beckons — a new medium, a deeper collaboration, or a fresh emotional territory? All I can say is there are new mediums and narratives on the horizon but you’ll have to stay tuned and find out! ;) Follow me on Instagram @karolinakarlssonart for sneak peeks into my process and upcoming works!

For those visiting St. Barth’s this winter, my work will be on view in the lobby of The Rosewood Le Guanahani from November 24 to March 15, and are available for purchase in the Artists of St. Barth Gallery in St Jean. For inquiries, please visit www.artSBH.com.

LOLOFT Love Your Work

The Company Transforming Commercial Real Estate for Startups, Entrepreneurs, and Corporations

In the rapidly shifting landscape of U.S. commercial real estate, one startup is quietly rewriting the rules— and, as many early adopters are discovering, redefining the very experience of work. Based in Northwest Arkansas and backed by RZC Investments, the investment platform for Steuart and Tom Walton, grandsons of Walmart founder Sam Walton, Loloft has emerged as one of the most innovative hybrid workspace companies in the country. Its promise is simple yet radical: “Love Your Work”.

At first glance, Loloft appears to be part of the coworking movement. Look closer, and it becomes clear that it is something else entirely—a commercial real estate operations platform built for the new economy, where entrepreneurs, digital creatives, e-commerce brands, and even large corporate customers can work side by side.

A New Category: Hybrid Warehousing + Coworking

Loloft’s model sits at the intersection of two industries that have remained surprisingly unchanged: coworking and industrial warehousing. Startups that once struggled to find functional, affordable space—or who were forced to operate from garages or storage units—now gain access to warehouse studios, office suites, and full amenitized coworking space, all under one roof.

For e-commerce brands—particularly Amazon sellers—the model has been transformative.

“Amazon requires you to have a loading dock,” says one tenant, “but I also can’t sit in a storage unit for five hours waiting for UPS. Loloft receives all my packages, and I can operate my business like a real company.”

— Julius Isoa, Loloft member in Phoenix

This simple operational upgrade has enabled small brands to scale faster, reduce overhead, and streamline fulfillment—benefits typically reserved for larger players.

Corporates Are Taking Notice

One month ago, Loloft launched Corporate Solutions, a product designed for enterprise teams testing new markets or offering employees flexible, modern space. In Phoenix, where the newest location opened, corporate teams are already occupying fully designed suites featuring:

• All-inclusive pricing with no surprises.

• Meeting rooms and coworking access.

• Kitchens and concierge-style amenities.

• Free parking—rare in most traditional coworking models.

• Immediate move-in options for rapid deployment.

For corporates, the appeal is clear: speed, clarity, and modernity. In a business environment where expansion cycles are shrinking, teams cannot afford multimonth buildouts or multi-year commitments. Loloft eliminates that lag entirely.

And for employees? The design-forward interiors, natural light, and functional layouts do exactly what the brand’s slogan promises: they help people fall in love with their work again.

The secret? Loloft has solved two of the most painful barriers in commercial leasing:

• Long-term commitments that lock businesses into 3–5 year contracts.

• Costly, slow buildouts that stall operations for months.

Instead, the company offers ready-to-move-in private warehouses, offices, and meeting spaces with no longterm leases, no buildout hassle, and no utilities setup. For the founders, the mission has always been about eliminating friction so companies can focus on what truly matters—growing.

A Category-Defining Expansion

Loloft currently operates two locations, with a third on the way, and has another six in the immediate development pipeline; however, the momentum is unmistakable. With strong demand, support from RZC, and a maturing operational model, the company is preparing for rapid expansion into 15 additional U.S. markets, focusing on high-growth regions where startups, remote teams, and e-commerce brands are concentrated.

Industry analysts have begun referring to Loloft as the “missing middle” in commercial real estate—a flexible, scalable solution positioned between coworking and traditional industrial space.

For investors tracking the future of work, logistics, and the shift toward decentralized commerce, Loloft sits at a particularly compelling intersection.

A Seed Round With Significant Early Interest

Following its recognition as a winner in Steve Case’s Rise of the Rest competition, Loloft is now preparing its seed round, projected to close by the end of Q1 2026. With 30% of the capital already committed, interest has quietly accelerated as early investors recognize the potential for a category-dominant platform—one that could scale nationally, then internationally, as hybrid work and micro-fulfillment continue to reshape supply chains.

The founders emphasize that the raise is not an urgent call for capital but rather a strategic step to accelerate proven demand. Yet the sense of momentum is unmistakable.

Markets are shifting, new work models are emerging, and companies are demanding flexibility that traditional landlords simply cannot deliver.

And for those watching the transformation of commercial real estate, Loloft’s trajectory is starting to look like one of those rare opportunities that later define an early investor’s portfolio.

The Future of Work, Happening Now

When asked what ultimately differentiates Loloft, its founders return to the same principle: make life easier for people building businesses.

Whether it’s a first-time online seller, a growing creative agency, a regional operations team, or a Fortune 500 company testing a new market, Loloft offers one simple promise:

• See. Sign. Start.

• No delays. No friction. No long-term commitments.

In a world where speed is strategy—and where work is increasingly flexible, mobile, and decentralized— Loloft is not simply offering space. It is offering momentum.

And everyone knows: momentum attracts winners. Momentum creates market leaders. Momentum rewards those who join early.

For those paying attention, Loloft is already moving.

Paris is brewing in Palm Beach

This fall, a Parisian-inspired market opened its dazzling doors in Palm Beach.

Set on the corner of Peruvian and Cocoanut, this corner store features a whimsical design by the talented Parisian-New York interior designer, Maud Ferrand. Ferrand used Viola marble counters, colorful Italian tiles in pinks, corals and bronze, plus a terrazzo floor to set the stage. Mario Lopez Torres rattan chandeliers (which are oh-so-Palm-Beach) playfully hang from the ceiling and structural columns were wrapped into bronze Palm trees.

And then there is the food! Gourmet sandwiches, sensational salads, crusty breads, an insane croque monsieur, delectable desserts like the Peruvian Avenue cake (dome cake with chocolate mousse and hazelnut dacquoise), flaky Napoleons in all flavors and every imaginable pastry. There are also daily specials that include soups (gazpacho, lentil were recently spotted), luxury take-out (duck confit, gnocchi with truffle sauce) and plenty of gourmet trimmings both sweet (marrons glacés) and savory (caviar and smoked salmon). Le Bilboquet Market has become the newest hangout for locals and the winter flock. It’s not easy to miss someone strolling nearby Worth Avenue with a Bilbo matcha or coffee cup in hand.

Another star in the restaurant group’s vast portfolio, this elegant shop is the vision of Le Bilboquet’s founder, Philippe Delgrange. “I wanted to bring a true European gourmet market that serves all, whether it’s for a morning espresso, a catered office lunch or a Bilbo dinner of our famed Cajun chicken.”

Delgrange tapped his dear friend— acclaimed chef François Payard, a third generation pastry chef and James Beard award winner—for the role of Le Bilboquet Market’s Culinary Director. This gourmet shop is open year-round from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

Lustrous and Legendary: The Lumière de l'Infini Crown Miss

Universe Crown

Jewelmer, the French-Filipino high jewelry Maison celebrated for its rare golden South Sea pearls, captivated imaginations around the globe with the unveiling of the Lumière de l'Infini Crown in November 2024. It is the first-ever Miss Universe crown created by a Filipino brand and is also the first crown to feature the South Sea pearl - the National Gem of the Philippines - in the pageant's history, capturing the attention of pageant enthusiasts and jewelry aficionados alike.

The one-of-a-kind creation reflects decades of Jewelmer's savoir-faire since the brand's inception in 1979. The crown carries with it the extraordinary spirit of those who took part in its creation - from Jewelmer's dedicated pearl farmers to master craftsmen trained in the classic techniques practiced in Place Vendôme, the center of elegance in France.

Crafting a Masterpiece

Adorned with 23 golden South Sea pearls, perfectly matched in color, shape, and luster throughout years of harvests in Jewelmer's pearl farms in Palawan, Philippines. Ranging from 8mm to 17mm in semi-round shapes and set among 1,400 diamonds and 18-karat gold, the crown is a testament to Jewelmer's meticulous craftsmanship.

The rarest and most coveted hue in the world, the golden South Sea pearl can only be cultivated through the most pristine environment and utmost human care. A miracle created in 377 steps over five years, Mother Nature controls much of the process — there is no guarantee that a pearl will be harvested.

With Jewelmer hand-selecting only the top 2% of its harvest for its fine jewelry creations, the crown stands as a testament to the Maison's pursuit of excellence.

Inspired by Universal Elements

Jewelmer's Senior Vice President and Creative Director, Gaelle Branellec, shares the inspiration behind the masterpiece.

"We thought of bringing the four elements of life in the making of the crown. The element of fire is embodied in the sun and its rays that radiate over the sea. Water filters light, sculpting life on a day-to-day basis. The element of air gently blows and caresses the surface of the sea. Earth is symbolized through rare golden South Sea pearls that are dancing over the surface and within the ocean. All those four elements come together in harmony."

Diamond-adorned rays and the warmth of precious yellow gold depict light and fire emanating from the sun. Tendrils of diamonds and rich gold recall the seafoam meeting the shores and the air blowing on the waves. Golden South Sea pearls evoke the sphere of the Earth, radiating beauty from the ocean, our source of life, to the promises of the universe and its infinite beyond.

An Icon of Artistry

From the selection of the golden pearls to the crown's final design, every step was taken with intention. Beyond a piece of jewelry, the Lumière de l'Infini Crown embodies Filipino pride, artistry, and the spirit of women whose strength and grace shine from within.

The crown's essence is drawn from Jewelmer's philosophy: As long as there is a pearl, there is life shining through every moment. From the gentle ripples to the stormy waves of the sea, Mother Nature offers a miracle - the golden South Sea pearl - brought to life into a crown that inspires hope, light, and infinite dreams for generations of women across the universe.

Through the Lumière de l'Infini Crown, Jewelmer continues to elevate the golden South Sea pearl on a global platform, ensuring its legacy will keep flourishing and strengthening, for future generations to admire and appreciate.

PICASSO: A PALM BEACH MOMENT

Presented by Kahan Gallery at Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens

Kahan Gallery brings one of the most captivating chapters of Pablo Picasso’s career to Palm Beach—his exuberant and inventive Vallauris period (1946–early 1970s). After the war, Picasso made the quiet pottery village of Vallauris on the Côte d’Azur his home and laboratory. There, he spent almost thirty years transforming humble clay into sculpture and pioneering the bold, luminous technique of multi-color linocuts. This exhibition presents a superb collection of ceramics and linocuts alongside key works from other moments in his career, including etchings from the Suite Vollard, rare drawings, prints, and tapestries, revealing the remarkable continuity of his vision across decades.

HOTEL Guide2026

THE VINETA HOTEL

Oetker Hotels’ first U.S. Masterpiece property. Known for decades as The Chesterfield, the historic 1925 property has been transformed into The Vineta Hotel, preserving its heritage while unveiling a lighter, more polished expression for a new generation.

With 37 rooms—including four suites and a Presidential Suite—the hotel remains an intimate Palm Beach retreat rooted in its long and renowned history.

Undergoing a full transformation in 2025 by Paris-based designer Tino Zervudachi , the nearly 100-year-old Mediterranean Revival hideaway has been thoughtfully reimagined. The new interiors are light and luminous, distinguished by a refined sense of color, texture, and meticulous detail. While updated for contemporary luxury, the design intentionally preserves the landmarked architecture and historic character that define the property.

Celebrating the easy glamour of the Palm Beach lifestyle, The Pool House offers a relaxed, shaded daytime retreat. Elegant lunches, refreshing cocktails, and casual poolside snacking evoke the charm of the French Riviera—while the pool itself honors its original 100-year-old footprint, remaining a petite and perfect place for a quintessential Palm Beach dip.

Adding a note of playful extravagance, Vineta “À la Cart” introduces a whimsical trolley service delivering hand-selected luxuries directly to guests: house-made gelato, in-room wellness offerings, Dr. Barbara Sturm skincare, champagne, and more.

As its transformation nears completion, The Vineta Hotel enters a new era of Palm Beach sophistication—timeless, intimate, and elegantly understated. It invites guests to experience a modern expression of luxury rooted in history, design, and a deep appreciation for the charm of Palm Beach.

AN ALPINE MOMENT NATHAN COE

To understand an alpine moment, one might begin with a sensation many know: the first breath of cold, clean air at the top of a mountain. The pulse quickens, adrenaline rises, and the landscape seems to sharpen—an invitation to ski into possibility. And then, almost at once, comes its counterbalance: a stillness so pure it feels suspended in time, a quiet that invites contemplation.

No one brings this duality to life quite like Nathan Coe. His winter works capture the wild nature of the season, the surge of the fearless and the pause that follows — that An Alpine Moment...

From Palm Beach to Gstaad

For

those who divide the season between sunlit elegance and alpine grandeur, winter becomes a study in contrasts.

The paradigm—whether to begin the year in Gstaad or Palm Beach—becomes a delightful indulgence to entertain, bringing forth the age-old winter question: which destination comes first? Whatever the order may be, the ritual remains the same: suitcases reopen, linen gives way to cashmere—or vice versa—depending on where the season begins. And for those who choose the call of the mountains, one truth becomes unmistakable: Là, l’hiver se vit pleinement. It is here, in the quiet majesty of the Alps, that the season finds its most intimate expression.

In the Bernese Oberland, The Alpina Gstaad stands among Switzerland’s most distinguished five-star retreats, contemporary in spirit yet deeply rooted in Alpine heritage. With just 56 rooms and suites—each opening onto a private terrace framing snow-draped peaks—the hotel blends natural textures, sculpted timbers, and modern Swiss design into an atmosphere of understated warmth. Its serene gardens and meticulously curated art collection set the tone for a winter experience defined by refinement and impeccable taste, complemented by an array of exceptional dining options throughout the property.

Gstaad’s cultural landscape adds a remarkable dimension to its alpine charm. For collectors and art connoisseurs, the village hosts Vieux Chalet — Hauser & Wirth’s private gallery — discreetly located within a century-old Swiss chalet. Accessible exclusively by appointment, it offers a uniquely intimate environment for encountering contemporary masters, presenting world-class works with the quiet gravitas of a private alpine residence. Alongside spaces such as Tarmak22, Gstaad has quietly become one of Europe’s most intriguing and culturally rich winter destinations.

Days in Gstaad unfold according to the natural rhythm of the mountains. Guests of The Alpina can explore pristine terrain through downhill skiing, snowboarding, or more adventurous pursuits like guided heliskiing. For those drawn to breathtaking vistas, architectural landmarks such as the Peak Walk by Tissot and the crystalline expanse of Glacier 3000 offer sweeping panoramas that feel almost otherworldly. The Peak Walk by Tissot, the world’s only suspension bridge connecting two mountain peaks, offers an unforgettable vantage point over the Alps. Families discover their own enchantment in igloo building, illuminated sledging trails, cross-country skiing, and horse-drawn carriage rides through snow-laden forests—winter rituals perfected over generations.

After days spent outdoors, the Six Senses Spa provides an immersive world of restoration. Inspired by Tibetan healing traditions and the natural energy of the surrounding Alps, the spa offers transformative treatments such as the Volcanic Glacial Massage, Yogic Sleep Therapy, Swiss Salt Detox Wrap, and Gua Sha Facial. With indoor and outdoor pools, holistic therapies, and cutting-edge anti-aging biohacking technology, it becomes an essential counterpart to the crisp mountain air—an oasis of profound rejuvenation.

Winter in Gstaad also brings one of its most emblematic social moments: Le Rosey Week. Each season, the prestigious Institut Le Rosey relocates to its historic Winter Campus in the region, infusing Gstaad with a cosmopolitan blend of legacy, culture, and refined family traditions. In February, families from around the world arrive to join their children, creating an elegant tempo throughout the village—chalet gatherings, intimate family lunches, art viewings, and a subtly heightened social atmosphere that has defined Gstaad’s winter identity for decades. Hotels such as The Alpina curate special menus, programming, and experiences tailored to this distinguished community, making the week one of the season’s most anticipated highlights.

This year, The Alpina Gstaad will also host a series of signature celebrations, including its annual New Year’s Eve gala, along with bespoke winter events, with further details forthcoming. And so, whatever the final choice may be, both Gstaad and Palm Beach are ready to welcome the season—each offering its own expression of winter at its finest.

A Study of the Details that define Palm Beach

Tracing the lineage of Palm Beach design from its historic estates to its modern interpretations.

Palm Beach has never been defined by a single style, but by a series of signatures—quiet decisions, handcrafted elements, and confident moments that elevate a space from beautiful to unforgettable. Step inside the island’s most celebrated interiors and one begins to see a pattern: it is always the details that tell the story.

Chester C. Bolton House, 1300 Ocean Boulevard, Palm Beach Library of Congress, Historic American Buildings Survey (HABS), HABS FLA, 50-PALM, 14-16.

Wallpaper that shapes character

Wallpaper in Palm Beach has long expressed the island’s love of pattern and fantasy, with many homes drawing inspiration from the exuberant decorating traditions of the mid-20th century. Iconic tropical motifs—such as Dorothy Draper’s bold Brazilliance, Hinson’s celebrated Martinique, and Schumacher’s historic botanicals—became synonymous with the spirited, sun-drenched glamour associated with Palm Beach living.

As tastes evolved, hand-painted murals by ateliers like de Gournay, Gracie, and Fromental introduced a quieter, more artistic sophistication. Today, designers continue this dialogue between heritage and modernity through the textured wallcoverings of Phillip Jeffries, the breezy coastal prints of Peter Dunham, and contemporary statements from Cole & Son. Across eras, wallpaper in Palm Beach has served not merely as decoration but as character—an atmosphere that shapes the room before a single piece of furniture is placed.

Tiles with centuries of stories

Tiles, too, play a quiet yet defining role in Palm Beach. In the island’s earliest estates, Addison Mizner went so far as to establish Mizner Industries, a workshop dedicated to producing the terra-cotta tiles, carved stone, and decorative ceramics that shaped the Spanish–Mediterranean vocabulary of Palm Beach.

That legacy continues today through ateliers like Casa Ceramica, whose hand-painted Mediterranean tiles echo the warmth, color, and romantic imperfection of those original Mizner floors. In historic homes, owners still turn to patterned Cuban cement tile to honor the era, while modern projects reinterpret the look through black-and-white checkerboard marble floors—a new Palm Beach classic championed by designers such as Ellen Kavanaugh, whose entryways and hallways give that timeless pattern a fresh, coastal clarity. Across the island, from sun-baked terra-cotta loggias to jewel-like mosaics, tile remains one of Palm Beach’s most expressive textures—small squares of history, light, and craftsmanship underfoot.

Rugs that ground the room

Rugs in Palm Beach have always shaped the feeling of a room, evolving alongside the island’s broader design sensibilities. Early estates often featured richly patterned rugs—Persian, Turkish, or European—that introduced depth and softness to Mediterranean Revival interiors.

By the mid-century, as lifestyles became more relaxed, natural-fiber rugs such as sisal, jute, and seagrass grew in popularity for their durability and coastal informality. These materials helped define the effortless, sunlit aesthetic that remains part of Palm Beach’s identity.

Today, designers embrace a wide range of textures—from pale tonal flat-weaves to richly tactile artisan pieces. In the Goop Villa at The Colony, for instance, Armadillo rugs reflect a modern approach to quiet luxury: neutral, textural foundations that allow light, art, and architecture to breathe. Across decades, rugs continue to ground Palm Beach interiors in both comfort and refinement.

The evolving palette

The Palm Beach palette has transformed over time while maintaining a sense of continuity and atmosphere. Early Mediterranean homes favored sunwashed neutrals, coral tones, and soft greens drawn from local stone and tilework.

Mid-century Palm Beach introduced an era of exuberant color—Palm Beach pink, citrus brights, and fresh coastal blues—popularized through social culture and fashion, notably the playful prints of Lilly Pulitzer.

Today, designers reinterpret these traditions with a lighter touch: airy whites, chalky pastels, sea-glass blues, and intentional accents of melon or coral. Balanced with raffia, cane, and linen, the modern Palm Beach palette serves as a bridge between heritage exuberance and contemporary restraint, capturing the island’s singular blend of joy, refinement, and sunlight.

Villa Goop at The Colony Hotel, Palm Beach
The House of Pratesi’s Palm Beach flagship on Hibiscus Avenue emerges anew as a destination for those who seek the ultimate expression of Italian sophistication.

Pratesi: Legacy linens

That reverence for detail lives on today in the island’s most refined spaces, where even the quietest elements carry a sense of tradition. Pratesi, founded in 1906, remains one of the most enduring expressions of this philosophy. The brand is known for its exceptional cottons—whether extra-long-staple Egyptian or other long-staple varieties—woven into crisp percales and luminous sateens.

Each hem and embroidery reflects couture-level precision. Signature designs like Treccia, inspired by Florentine architecture, and archival prints such as Fresia and Millefiori introduce a refined, painterly romance to the bedroom. In Palm Beach, where craftsmanship is inseparable from beauty, linens of this caliber become part of the architecture of living.

Yet among all these signatures, one element remains constant: a devotion to craftsmanship and the joy of possibility. Whether expressed through a hand-painted powder room, a lacquered library, or a perfectly scalloped detail, Palm Beach interiors understand the subtle art of delight.

For generations, these homes have invited their inhabitants to dream—to experience rooms not just as spaces, but as atmospheres. This study reveals not only the elements themselves, but the evolving imagination behind them: a commitment to crafting environments that transform daily life into something luminous, refined, and endlessly inspiring.

Winter or summer? We have you covered. Winter at Palm Beach’s pinkest hotel and summer in East Hampton—because it turns out you know someone with a fabulous place in both locations.

ROB BRINSON

The Shape of Instinct

For more than five decades, fine photographer Rob Brinson has shaped a singular visual language defined by instinct, refinement, and emotional honesty. A fashion photographer by training and an intuitive storyteller at heart, Brinson’s work reflects his own personality—refreshing, elegant, witty, and spontaneous. He embraces experimentation and play, And perhaps the best way to understand his process is simply to hear it from him, …in His Own Words.

I always like to name the show while I’m in the process of creating the imagery. It’s a bit like finding the path as I walk it—discovering where the work wants to go. The titles tend to carry a double meaning, blending what I'm literally doing with something a little suggestive. Shot in the Dark, Up Against the Wall, On the Rocks. Sometimes I think I’m being too clever, until I realize that maybe the humor is my way of avoiding talking too seriously about what I do.

The truth is, I create spontaneously, second by second. I rarely know what I’m about to make until it appears in front of me. When it does, I reach out and claim it. My talent, if I have one, is simply being able to see differently—something that’s always been natural to me.

This collection of photos comes from that same instinctive process. I couldn’t recreate them even if I tried; they evolved moment by moment. I’ve combined my fashion photography roots with a kind of illustrated interpretation that bends reality into something more imagined. I’m known for black and white, and it’s true—I love the abstraction and clarity that comes when color steps aside.

By “funking it up,” I suppose I’m doing what I’ve always done: making the ordinary unfamiliar, letting a single instant become something we haven’t quite seen before, and inviting us to live in that imaginative space. Maybe we need that escape now more than ever. I know I do.

SUZIE TURNER

British Couture Without Limits

In the world of British haute couture, few ateliers operate with the precision and possibility of Suzie Turner Couture. Spoken of quietly among those who understand true craftsmanship, the house is sought out by clients whose intentions cannot be fulfilled anywhere else.

At Suzie Turner Couture, every creation begins with the client’s intention. Suzie listens without limits, guiding each person through a process that feels both intimate and effortless. From the first sketch, she interprets ideas—precise or instinctive—with a clarity that helps clients see their vision more fully than when they arrived.

Her team sketches in real time, shaping each intention into a bespoke pattern made exclusively for that client. When a design calls for fabric, embroidery, or structure that does not yet exist, the atelier develops it in-house. Custom weaves, proprietary embellishments, and meticulously engineered constructions ensure absolute artistry and control.

With every discipline—pattern cutting, embroidery, featherwork, embellishment, painting, construction— under one roof, the process moves with remarkable fluidity. Suzie guides clients through each fitting with calm authority; adjustments are made instantly, ideas tested on the spot.

Inside the atelier, Italian silks, French lace, Loro Piana cashmeres, Swarovski® crystals, and evolving embroidery samples form a world of possibility. Here, fabric and detail are navigated with precision that elevates the client’s intention rather than overshadowing it.

“Each look was made to fit my body perfectly, to make me feel so comfortable. I really believe that it was like a dream, the most fun experience… it wasn’t just about wearing it that night, it was the experience of having someone make a dress for your body.”

— Lisa, New York Bridal Client, 2023

For clients requiring privacy or convenience, Suzie travels globally for fittings—recreating the serenity and precision of the atelier inside a suite, residence, or yacht. Few appreciate this more than brides seeking calm, clarity, and perfection in every detail.

The result is couture that doesn’t project a house signature, but reflects the individual who wears it. This is Suzie Turner Couture: creations shaped entirely around the client’s intention, realized through Suzie’s artistry and belief that even the most ambitious ideas are possible.

Here, couture is not anchored in excess—but in possibility. And those possibilities are truly limitless.
