WELCOME TO PLYMOUTH COLLEGE

Within this booklet you will find important Safeguarding and Child Protection guidance for adults visiting or working at Plymouth College.

Vistors MUST report to Reception upon arrival. They must sign in and sign out on departure from school.

Visitors MUST wear a visitor or contractor badge at all times.

Internet access is available on request in Reception.

CHILD PROTECTION

Our school community has a duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of young people who are our pupils.

SAFEGUARDING CHILDREN

If you have any concerns that a child has been harmed or, is at risk of harm, or you receive a disclosure about a child or adult, please contact Reception as quickly as possible, and ask to speak to the DSL or a Deputy DSL if the DSL is unavailable.

CCTV

For the safety and security of visitors, staff and pupils, CCTV monitoring and recording is used around the school.

MOBILE PHONES

Please keep mobile phone use to a minimum whilst on site and DO NOT take photographs without permission.

EYFS – under no circumstances are mobile phones allowed.

FIRE ALARM

In the event of a fire alarm sounding: You should leave the building by the nearest exit. Follow the green fire signs above the doors to locate the nearest exit with your guide.

Once outside you should make your way to the Astroturf marked on the map (found at the back of this booklet) and await further instruction.
