School Supply List

As you prepare for the upcoming school year, we want to provide guidance on school supplies. We understand that quantities, brand names, and availability of supplies may vary at different stores. It’s perfectly okay if you cannot find every item exactly as listed. The most important thing is to use the list as a starting point to ensure your child has what they need to begin the school year successfully. Thank you for your support and understanding. We look forward to another wonderful year of learning and growth together!

Please note that there is no formal supply list for GlenOak High School. Students should start the school year with something to write with and a notebook. Teachers will communicate course-specific supplies.

Join us for a community conversation addressing our district’s facilities and future planning, based on overwhelming feedback from recent surveys calling for updates to our aging facilities. Meet with the Plain Local Schools team and Sol Harris/Day Architecture, learn about the master facility planning process, discuss potential building upgrades, provide valuable feedback, and explore timelines. Your voice is crucial in shaping the future of our schools! Located in the main commons at GlenOak High School (Enter through student entrance door #17 in the upper parking lot).

School Pictures taken by Lifetouch will be taken on the following schedule.

Plain Local Schools will transition to ParentSquare as our exclusive communication platform starting with the 2025–2026 school year. ParentSquare is designed to help families stay connected with their child’s school. It will bring all school communication, emails, text messages, app notifications, forms, and announcements into one easy-to-use platform. This change will replace systems like Remind, different email newsletters, and other tools we’ve used in the past, giving you one place to receive information from teachers, principals, and the district.

Some features you can look forward to:

• Announcements, reminders, and messages all in one place for all students and all classes, clubs, activities, and sports

• Direct messaging with automatic language translation

• The option to choose how you receive messages—by text, email, app notification, or web

• The choice to receive messages instantly or in a daily summary

We’re making this change to give families clear, consistent, and accessible communication from all levels of our school community. More details will be shared this summer to guide you through setting up your account.

Home Access Center (HAC)

Home Access Center (HAC) is an online tool for families of students in grades 5–12 to stay connected to their child’s academic progress. You can view grades, attendance, schedules, and more through HAC—all in real time. It’s a simple way to stay informed and support your student throughout the school year.

All 5th through 12th grade student HAC (Home Access Center) usernames and passwords have been set to their Chromebook Login/Eagleapps account information. Students will log in (username) with the first part of their email address (everything prior to @eagleapps.org) and their current Chromebook/email password.

Parents new to Plain Local Schools this year can follow the steps below to sign up for an HAC account:

• Visit hac.sparcc.org/HomeAccess

• Click “Click Here to Register for HAC”

• For “Select a District,” choose “Plain Local” from the drop-down menu

• Fill in the required fields

• You will receive an email containing a URL and a one-time access code

• Click on the URL in the email, enter the one-time access code and the birthdate of one of your registered students.

The HAC will open August 6 for the 25-26 school year.

PaySchools Central is a convenient online platform that simplifies how parents manage schoolrelated payments and activities. From paying for school lunches and fees, PaySchools Central offers a streamlined experience. Parents can use it to securely handle financial transactions, track payment history, and stay updated on past payments. Visit payschoolscentral.com to log in and view your account history.

Payschools will open in August for the the 25-26 school year.
