Throughout the 2026/27 season, you’ll nd moments that stir the soul and spark imagination – from the romance and yearning of Dvořák’s Cello Concerto and the passion of Tchaikovsky’s Fifth Symphony, to the bold voices of Florence Price and William Grant Still. Each concert is an invitation to connect –with the music, with one another, and with the emotions only a live orchestra can unlock.

As well as celebrated soloists like Kian Soltani and Elena Urioste, we’re proud to champion a new generation of exciting artists this season, many making their UK or LPO debuts.

But our work in Brighton goes far beyond the concert hall. Through our partnership with Sussex Music Hub, we’re helping young people discover their creativity. Together with community organisations like Soundcastle, AudioActive, Carousel, and the Worthing Philharmonic Orchestra, we’re using music to support wellbeing, champion inclusion, and nurture local talent.

Music has the power to bring people together – to listen, to share, to feel. We can’t wait to welcome you to Brighton Dome this season and experience it with you.

When it came to emotion, the composers of the Romantic era never held back. Far from home, Dvořák poured all his heartbreak and longing into a cello concerto like no other: a symphony in all but name, as sweet and as stormy as life itself. Meanwhile, César Franck created a symphony that’s practically a Gothic cathedral in sound – a world of swirling mists and monumental visions, crowned with an unforgettable melody. Marie Jacquot scales its heights tonight, and joins the ‘sublime’ (Gramophone) Kian Soltani in Dvořák’s magnificent Concerto.

The 20th century saw a flowering of American music. Guest conductor Kellen Grey is passionate about the music of pioneers like William Grant Still and Florence Price –composers whose music sang of freedom, hope, and the endless possibilities of the American Dream. Take a voyage to a new world this afternoon, as Kellen introduces Dvořák’s exuberant overture, Still’s big-hearted symphonic portrait of America, and Price’s gloriously tuneful concerto, with violinist Elena Urioste as soloist.

Join us for a special free performance in the foyer, given by talented young musicians from Create Music, part of Brighton Dome and Brighton Festival and the Hub Lead Organisation for the Sussex Music Hub.

Schumann’s ‘Rhenish’ Symphony opens in a blaze of glory, and ends at a wine festival! In between comes a guided tour of Cologne Cathedral, all drenched in Schumann’s trademark poetry and warmth. There’s no more tuneful way to take a holiday in the Rhineland (and you don’t even have to leave your seat). First, though, Mendelssohn goes Gothic in a dark and stormy overture, and guest conductor Alpesh Chauhan joins the ‘phenomenal’ (Bachtrack) Sophia Liu in a sparkling French showpiece. This award-winning young star is already causing quite a stir, and she’s the perfect soloist for Saint-Saëns’s champagne cocktail of a concerto.

‘With desire and passion’, wrote Tchaikovsky on the score of his Fifth Symphony, and he really meant it. All of his genius for melody went into this sweeping sonic autobiography – a musical journey from sorrow to joy, told in tunes that burn themselves onto your heart. No such worries for the teenage Richard Strauss: after all, when your dad’s the world’s greatest horn player, writing a horn concerto is the ultimate bit of family fun. Expect wit, poetry and pure high spirits as conductor Delyana Lazarova joins forces with the incredible Felix Klieser – a horn player who’s become a byword for inspiration.

Connected by Music

As well as our concerts on the Brighton Dome stage, we’re delighted to celebrate the power of music beyond the concert hall with our local South Coast communities. We are proud to be a partner of Sussex Music Hub, working together with Create Music and West Sussex Music to offer musical opportunities for young people across Brighton & Hove, East Sussex and West Sussex.

In the wider community, we’re committed to building strong, lasting connections through collaborations with the Worthing Philharmonic Orchestra and Sussex-based charities Soundcastle, AudioActive, Carousel and New Note Orchestra. Worthing Philharmonic Orchestra brings together amateur and professional musicians to perform high-quality orchestral music. Soundcastle uses musicmaking to support mental health and wellbeing, working with communities across the UK. AudioActive nurtures young talent through innovative music projects, particularly in rap, beat-making, and electronic music. Carousel champions artists with learning disabilities, helping them create and share their work. New Note Orchestra supports people in recovery through inclusive, high-quality music-making, and we were proud to record their original music last year, due for release later this season.

We are also excited to expand our awardwinning OrchLab programme to Bognor Regis this year, making music with disabled adults using accessible technology. Working with our partners Drake Music, OrchLab aims to enhance wellbeing and confidence through meaningful accessible music-making. From workshops to co-creation and performances, we’re working on exciting projects that bring people together through music – keep your eyes peeled for future dates!

Access

Access Brighton Dome is committed to ensuring your visit is as easy and enjoyable as possible. Brighton Dome’s Access Scheme allows you to share your access requirements in advance and provides eligibility for a free Personal Assistant ticket where needed. The Concert Hall has several specially designed seat positions as well as lift access and accessible toilets (RADAR keys in operation). A companion sitting in a neighbouring seat may be admitted free of charge (subject to availability). If you require this service please register for the Brighton Dome & Brighton Festival Access Scheme.

Hearing assistance customers

There is a Sennheiser radio frequency system in the Concert Hall, which can be used with or without a hearing aid. Please contact the access team to pre-book and collect the unit and a headset from the Ticket Office upon arrival at the venue. Please allow 15 minutes before the start of the performance to pick up your headset.

Visually impaired customers

Access dogs are welcome in all Brighton Dome venues. LPO brochures are available in large print on request from the Marketing Department by emailing marketing@brightondome.org

Public transport

Brighton Station is a ten-minute walk away with fast, regular services to Brighton from London (under an hour from Victoria and London Bridge) and elsewhere.

Parking

Please check your route for local traffic information before you travel. On-street parking is very limited near Brighton Dome, but maybe possible after 6pm and on Sundays. The nearest car park is the NCP Theatre Car Park. You can park at the NCP Theatre Car Park for £11 (£8.95 using the NCP App) after 5pm.

Brighton Dome is situated on Church Street in the heart of historic Brighton, on the Royal Pavilion Estate. It comprises three spaces – the Concert Hall, Corn Exchange and Studio Theatre.
