As we begin a new year, I hope you and your families enjoyed a wonderful holiday season filled with time together, good health, and a chance to recharge. On behalf of our entire team, Happy New Year we ’ re excited for what’s ahead in 2026.
On behalf of our amazing team, I would also like to extend a very sincere thank you to everyone who contributed to the Employee Holiday Fund. The generosity shown by our membership was truly overwhelming and deeply appreciated. Our team takes tremendous pride in serving you each and every day, and your thoughtfulness during the holidays meant more to them than I can adequately put into words. It was a powerful reminder of the strong sense of community that makes The Governors Club such a special place.
You will soon receive our first-ever Member Pulse Survey, and I encourage everyone to take a few minutes to participate once it is released. These brief surveys will be used periodically throughout the year to better understand what matters most to you, helping guide programming, events, and future enhancements. Your feedback will play a meaningful role in shaping the overall member experience.
On the course, we continue to make solid progress on the pond dredging project on Holes #3 and #5. This work will significantly improve the aesthetics and overall health of the ponds, and we will also be researching the addition of fountains or aerators to help keep water circulating and healthy once the project is complete.
I’d also like to share that Head Golf Professional Scott Bailey and Assistant Golf Professional Tate Kloeppel attended the PGA Merchandise Show and Conference in January both for the first time. The experience gave them valuable exposure to the latest in golf equipment, apparel, merchandising trends, and industry best practices. They returned energized, inspired, and eager to help make 2026 our best golf season yet.
Behind the scenes, our team has been busy throughout the winter months and has several upcoming facility improvements planned, including:
• Upcoming enhancements to the Golf Shop, including new carpeting, fresh paint, upgraded display fixtures, and new window treatments
• Replacement of older TVs throughout the clubhouse with new smart TVs
• Resurfacing of the Cabana decking, scheduled for late March or early April
• Parking lot and driveway resealing, also planned for late March or early April
• New lobby furniture, arriving soon
• Continued evaluation of a kid-friendly “ zone ” concept utilizing the former pool cabana building
In addition, we are planning to continue Phase 2 of our bunker renovation project later in 2026, building on the improvements already made.
As you can see, we ’ re keeping busy and intentionally so. These projects are all part of our continued commitment to reinvesting in the Club and enhancing your experience at every touchpoint.
Thank you, as always, for your support, feedback, and engagement. We look forward to a fantastic 2026 season and welcoming you back often in the months ahead.

We are nearing the completion of our third week of pond dredging, and great progress continues to be made Both ponds are now being dredged simultaneously, with specialized dredging boats capable of removing up to 300 cubic yards of material per day.
Behind the driving range, you’ll notice two large dewatering bags currently in use. Once filled, these bags will hold more than 4,000 cubic yards of material. They will remain in place for a minimum of six months to allow the material to fully dewater. Once ready, this material will be repurposed across the property helping to level portions of the driving range, fill select bunkers, or potentially build a berm to keep more golf balls on the property.
The pond on Hole 5 has already reached depths of approximately seven feet in the center, a significant improvement. As a next step, we are exploring the addition of aerators or fountains in both ponds once dredging is complete to further enhance water quality and long-term pond health.
Dredging operations are expected to continue for approximately two more weeks, with timing subject to weather conditions.
Thank you for your continued patience and support as we work to improve the course and overall playing experience.
