January is a time of preparation and fresh beginnings at Covered Bridge and Champions Pointe. While the courses enjoy a quieter season, our team is busy planning and preparing for the year ahead. From course projects and tournaments to social events and dining experiences, there is so much to look forward to. In this issue, you’ll find updates on what’s coming up this winter, including events, passholder and tournament information, restaurant updates, and seasonal specials. Whether you’re playing a winter round, joining us for an event, or stopping by the clubhouse, we’re so glad you’re here. We look forward to another wonderful year together.

A Note from Ryan Dougherty – Your General Manager Dear Members and Guests, As we begin a new year, I want to take a moment to thank our passholders, guests, and staff for your continued support and dedication to both Champions Pointe and Covered Bridge Golf Clubs. The winter months give us an opportunity to reflect on the past season while preparing for the year ahead, and we’re excited about what’s to come. January is an important time for behind-the-scenes work. Our maintenance team is focused on course projects that will improve playing conditions and overall turf health, ensuring the course is in great shape when spring arrives. At the same time, our staff is planning a full calendar of tournaments, leagues, and special events designed to bring our golf community together throughout the season. Even in the quieter winter months, the course offers a unique beauty, and we encourage you to take advantage of playable days when the weather allows — and to stop by the clubhouse to enjoy a meal or drink in our restaurant when you do. Our dining spaces remain a warm and welcoming place to gather, relax, and connect throughout the winter. Whether you’re stopping by for a round, visiting the clubhouse, or simply staying connected through our newsletter, we truly appreciate your involvement. DAVID KRUEGER WINS MONTEREY BAY INVITATIONAL Covered Bridge Golf Club is proud to announce that Head Golf Professional David Krueger captured first place at the Monterey Bay Invitational Pro Am, held January 8 through 10 across Pebble Beach Golf Links, Spyglass Hill Golf Course, and The Links at Spanish Bay, three of the most iconic and challenging courses in the world. The Monterey Bay Invitational is a highly competitive, invitation only fifty-four-hole professional tournament that brings together a limited field of top players from across the country. This year’s event featured ninety-six professionals and three hundred eighty-four amateurs, creating a total field of four hundred eighty players. David posted an impressive tournament total of eight under par with rounds of sixtynine at Spanish Bay, seventy-three at Pebble Beach, and a final round sixty-six at Spyglass Hill. After trailing the leader by six shots following the second round, David delivered an incredible charge on the final day, making six consecutive birdies to move into the lead and ultimately secure the victory by two strokes. This win reflects David’s exceptional talent, preparation, and professionalism, and we are incredibly proud to have him representing Covered Bridge Golf Club at such a high level.

Tournament Guide We’re excited to share that our 2026 Tournament Guide is now available! This year’s schedule features a full lineup of tournaments, leagues, and special events at both Covered Bridge and Champions Pointe. View the guide here! Players are encouraged to register through our online Golf Genius portal, which will also be used for event communication, pairings, and results. Be sure to review the guide, mark your calendars, and join us for another great season of competition, camaraderie, and fun on the course.

Trivia Night Champions Pointe | Thursday, 1/22 Trivia Night is coming to Champions Pointe on Thursday, 1/22 6–8 PM. Gather your team, put your knowledge to the test, and enjoy a relaxed evening with drinks, bites, and friendly competition. A $10 cover applies, and a limited menu will be available. Moms, Grandmas & Littles Party Champions Pointe | Saturday, 1/24 Champions Pointe will host a Moms, Grandmas & Littles Party on Saturday, 1/24 3–6 PM. This family-friendly afternoon includes crafts, karaoke, cookies, and a cozy s’mores bar, along with a kid-friendly menu for guests to enjoy. Pricing $30 per adult; $15 per child.
