Highlights of Romania
Day 1. Homeland - Bucharest Arrival at the airport in Bucharest, where the English speaking-guide will accompany you. City tour in the Romanian Capital visiting the fascinating village museum, the Patriarchal Church, residence of the Romanian Orthodox Patriarch, the Parliament Palace, the second largest building in the world. Dinner and accommodation at the Hotel.
Day 2. Bucharest - Sinaia - Predeal Today you will go to Sinaia, where you will visit the Peles Castle, the summer residence of the Royal Family. Not very far you can find the Sinaia Monastery that was built by orthodox monks, who came from the Sinai Mountain. In the afternoon you will go to the Royal Cellars of Azuga to taste sparkling wine. Then you will go to Predeal. Dinner and accommodation at the Hotel.

Day 3. Predeal - Harman - Brasov - Bran - Predeal In the morning you will go to visit the fortified church from Harman. Then you will continue to Brasov. City tour in the center, where you will visit the most important sights: The Black Church, the old town hall, the hidden Orthodox Church, the medieval city wall from the historic centre with medieval stylish houses. In the evening you will visit the Bran Castle. The romantically situated castle, residence of the Romanian Queen Maria interwar period, is today a museum. Afterwards return to Predeal where you will have a traditional Romanian dinner.
Day 4. Predeal - Sibiu - Medias - Biertan - Sighisoara After brekfast you will go to Sibiu. The buildings from the Big and Small Square, the Brukenthal Palace and the Liar’s Bridge are just a few architectonical monuments that make from Sibiu an open air Museum. During the city tour you will see the most important sights. Then you will go in the north direction to Medias, where you will have a city tour. Here you can visit the Margaret Church with the biggest winged altar. Then we drive to Biertan. Here was until the end of the 19th century the residence of the Evangelical bishops from Transylvania. In the evening you will arrive in Sighisoara. Day 5. Sighisoara - Sovata - Cheile Bicazului - Piatra Neamt In the morning city tour of Sighisoara. Sighisoara is the most beautiful and best preserved medieval city in the rural Gothic Renaissance and Baroque style from this side of Europe. Here you can visit the Church on the Hill, the house where Count Dracula was born, the Saint Mary Church and the Clock Towr. After that you will go to Sovata, where you will take a walk to the Bear Lake. Then you will go in the East European Carpathians through a 5 km long canyon, named Bicaz Gorges. Close by the Bicaz Pass there was a landslide in 1838, which blocked the river and formed the Red Lake (Lacul Rosu). In the evening you will arrival in Piatra Neamt.
Day 6. Piatra Neamt - Galati - Macin - Tulcea We start our drive from Piatra Neamt in direction south, past Galati to Tulcea, also known as “the gate to the Danube delta”. On the way stop in Macin for wine test at the Royal Wine Cellars.
Day 7. Tulcea - Bucharest Today you will have a boat trip into the Danube Delta until the pelican reservation from the Nebunu Lake. The biggest diversity of the Danube Delta’s fauna contains more than 250 bird species, among which 70 are from outside Europe, 176 are in the Danube’s nest and 178 are protected by the law. Afterwards we will go to Bucharest - in the evening festive dinner with folklore program at the Pescarus Restaurant.
Day 8. Bucharest - Homeland Transfer to the airport.
