“The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him.”
— Psalm 28:7
I’m always a little amazed at how the holiday season never loses its magic for me. Every year, as December draws near, my spirits lift at the thought of decorating, planning menus, shopping for gifts, gathering with family, and simply allowing life to slow down for a moment. There’s something grounding in pressing pause and remembering that home isn’t just a place—it’s the people you share it with, no matter where you are.
This year has been a winding journey for many of us—a year of transition, recalibration, and unexpected turns. If it felt long to you, know that you weren’t alone. And yet, here we are, approaching the close of another year, and I find myself grateful, hopeful, and assured that all is well with my soul, and I pray the same for yours.
Our Christmas issue—our final issue of the year—is a joyful one, brimming with the warmth and wonder of the season. To my remarkable young team, whose energy and creativity continue to elevate this magazine: thank you. Your talent and dedication shine through every page, and we send you into the new year with all the good tidings you so richly deserve.
We are honored to share stories of beauty, innovation, and humanity: from health and wellness to interior design, from artists and architects to entrepreneurs, Realtors, travelers, and visionaries. We spotlight the people and organizations who pour kindness into our communities, champion philanthropic work, and remind us what generosity looks like in action. Life truly is beautiful, and our mission is to make sure our readers feel a little more of that beauty with every issue.
As we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, may your season be filled with love, peace, laughter, and good cheer. Wishing you a blessed Christmas and a joyful New Year!
To Life and Love, —Lisa and Gerald Burwell

IN THIS ISSUE, WE ASKED THE CREATIVES: WHAT IS THE MOST MAGICAL PART OF THE HOLIDAY SEASON FOR YOU?

Dancer with The New York City Rockettes @therockettes, @kristenwelshpiazza
To me, it’s the sense of nostalgia and togetherness it brings. Performing in the Christmas Spectacular each year takes me right back to being four years old, sitting in the audience for the first time, and feeling completely captivated by the music and choreography. Now, being part of that magic is surreal. Even after eight seasons with the Rockettes, I still have those pinch-me moments. Offstage, the season feels most special when I’m cooking, decorating the tree, and spending time with my family—finding peace and joy in life’s simplest traditions.
Songwriter, President of Bay Youth Music Association
@willthompsonmusic, @pcsongwritersfestival
For me, the magic of the holiday season is rooted in nostalgia and the excitement of giving—but, even more, it’s about family. Now that I have my own, the holidays are centered around creating memories we can pass down for generations. Time moves so quickly, so I try to slow down, breathe, and really take in those moments of togetherness and holiday cheer. Christmas music has always been my favorite part—it’s pure joy to play and share. The season is about honoring the past, embracing the present, and building new memories for the future.

BRAD WALLS
Visual Artist @bradscanvas
Living abroad, the holidays are my time to go home, slow down, and reconnect. I get to spend
days at the beach in Sydney, Australia, see my closest friends and family, live in shorts, and constantly miss-slap mosquitoes—it’s chaotic, hilarious, and so uniquely home. It feels even more special now that I’m a new uncle, and stepping away from the overstimulation of NYC gives me the space to reflect on the year that was and appreciate everything I often rush past.
FOR ME, IT’S ALL ABOUT COMING TOGETHER, SHARING GREAT FOOD, AND CREATING MOMENTS THAT LAST LONG AFTER THE DISHES ARE DONE.

Philanthropist & Host of Meals in Minutes @rachaelray
The holidays feel magical when everyone crowds into the kitchen and we turn simple food into memories. For me, it’s all about coming together, sharing great food, and creating moments that last long after the dishes are done. The season isn’t about perfection—it’s about connection. Cook with friends and family, get everyone involved, have fun, and linger a little longer.

And before we even knew it, December was upon us. It’s the month where the world seems to sparkle a little brighter, where twinkling lights find their way onto rooftops and storefronts, and where even the shortest days carry a quiet kind of magic. December brings the soft hum of celebration, the rituals we return to year after year, and the comforting permission to slow down and savor what matters. It’s an ending and a beginning, wrapped together like the perfect bow on a long-awaited gift. Be sure to make time for loved ones, participate in festive fun, and keep the spirit bright! And don’t forget to tag @viemagazine in all of your favorite holiday moments!

What emerges when fine textile craftsmanship meets design storytelling? In their new collaborative collection, designer Trevor Cheney and textile designer Christopher Farr draw from personal memory and material mastery to craft rugs that embody both rhythm and restraint. The series explores three motifs—“Lanes,” “Blocks,” and “Flags”—inspired by Cheney’s own swimming career and transformed through Farr’s hand-knotted wool and silk construction. Cheney’s minimal diagrams find expression in Farr’s rich textures, elevating the rug from a mere underfoot accessory to an immersive art piece. Together they demonstrate that great design need not shout, it can anchor a room with quiet conviction.

The scene in the large New York City warehouse was literally something out of a dream as visual artist Brad Walls rolled out the red carpet for over sixty ballerinas from the New York City Ballet, the American Ballet Theatre, the Joffrey Ballet School, and Ballet East.
His dream came to life as the football field-sized set filled with dancers, directed by Walls and choreographer Ian Schwaner, who meticulously placed each one to create a series of intricate scenes. Walls photographed them from above in his signature aerial style.
Walls describes the energy on set during the photo shoot as electric. “You could feel this quiet intensity in the room,” he recalls. “There was so much trust, because everyone knew they were part of something bigger. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous—coordinating sixty dancers under a crane rig with a giant red carpet is no small feat—but once I saw that first aerial preview, everything clicked. It felt exactly as I’d imagined it in my head for years.”
The idea for this striking red-and-white ballet series, which Walls named PASSÉ, began with what he calls “a moment of unexpected vulnerability” during a ballet shoot in 2021. While he was working with ballerina Montana Rubin, a group of young triplets approached the dancer and expressed how much they loved her craft and how they had been emotionally moved by watching her. “That moment hit me,” Walls says. “It reminded me that ballet, while celebrated for its perfection, is also deeply human. This project is about honoring that—about making the distance between performer and viewer disappear.”
An Australian-born visual artist who now calls New York City home, Walls has been heralded for his aerial photography, which has been exhibited in galleries and projects around the world. But he didn’t always know it was his calling. “I’ve always been drawn to structure, balance, and rhythm, which I think is what eventually led me to aerial photography,” he explains. “My background wasn’t traditionally in art; I worked in the tech and product world for years, but photography was this constant side obsession that grew and grew. When I bought my first drone camera, I realized it allowed me to compose the world almost like a painter with a new kind of brush, shaping geometry and light from above.”
Walls harnessed his newfound love of aerial photography and began building bodies of work, including his series Pools from Above and Vacant, which have been lauded worldwide. (Pools from Above is also available as a coffee-table book!) Realizing his new craft had become more than a hobby, Walls decided to build his brand into a
full-time, full-service creative practice, Bradscanvas. His subjects have included synchronized swimmers and other athletes, models shot from above in desert and beach settings or in the stands at sports arenas, landscapes, architecture, and more, always presented from a unique viewpoint inspired by the intersection of space, symmetry, and form.
“I see the world in lines, patterns, and spacing, almost like choreography,” says Walls. “Sometimes I construct scenes meticulously, like PASSÉ, where every dancer, color, and negative space is deliberate. Other times, I find the geometry naturally on rooftops, beaches, courts—places where symmetry already exists, waiting to be framed.”

He continues, “It’s about restraint: knowing when to simplify, when to leave something out. I’m always trying to reduce the world to its essential shapes, and that’s where the beauty usually lives.”
is the largest project Walls has undertaken so far. It required months of planning, following the initial idea he had envisioned during the photo shoot with Montana Rubin. Step one was finding the dancers he needed to complete the scenes. “I reached out to ballet schools and companies across New York, from professionals to students, and slowly, a community formed around the idea,” says Walls. “I wanted PASSÉ to represent the broader ballet ecosystem, not just one company. We ended up with sixty dancers from all over the city.” Several of the models were leads and senior dancers from their companies, including Tillie Glatz, Sylvie Squires, Aleisha Walker, Nieve Corrigan, Sierra Armstrong, Sara Heller, Roberta Messi, Sofiia Maltseva, Grace Buttimore, Miriam Nsangu, Julia Felipi, Taylor Gordon, Ayne Kim, Olivia Leigh, apiccii, and Chloe Fisher.
Walls continues, “Every detail was considered: the wardrobe, the spacing, even the color of the carpet (Pantone 1805C red). I worked closely with the choreographer, Ian, to create the shapes.” Thanks to a crew of twenty others assisting and a custom crane rig brought into the warehouse, the result, as you can see, is a striking visual feast for the eyes. The dancers align with the utmost precision to form lines, spirals, circles, and patterns, their white classical tutus forming a stark contrast against the bright red backdrop.
Calling himself “a minimalist in post,” Walls says he prefers to meticulously perfect everything in-camera, spending months before each shoot planning color palettes, lighting direction, and layout so the editing process is light. “In post, I mostly fine-tune. It’s about enhancing what’s already there, not creating something new.” Of the twenty scenes the team shot for this project, eight made it into the opening exhibition and the first limited-edition print run, though Walls says with a smile, “There are another five or six hanging around,” which he might release at a later date.

He celebrated the release of PASSÉ by inviting guests to an immersive exhibit from September 12 to 14, 2025, at 347 Broome Street in the Bowery, where the scene was re-created with a red carpet and walls forming a new perspective of the backdrop, surrounded by the completed photographs.
“I wanted an immersive red room. The audience could literally stand where the dancers once were,” says Walls. “The response was overwhelming. People described it as cinematic, hypnotic, and emotional. For me, seeing those large-scale prints on the walls felt like closure. It was a full-circle moment: the idea that lived in my head, then in that warehouse, now existed in the world.”
In what he calls the “final stage of connection,” Walls says seeing his work displayed in someone’s home or other space never gets old. “The image

leaves my control and starts a new life. Whether it’s in a collector’s home or a hotel lobby, it means the work resonates beyond me, and that’s the whole point.”
Regarding what’s coming up next for him, Walls says, “I’m always exploring new intersections of design and movement. I have a few large-scale ideas in development, including one blending sport and sculpture, and another merging architecture with human form.” His last project might be PASSÉ , but the sky’s the limit for the future of this innovative visual artist.
Limited-edition prints of PASSÉ and other works are available at Bradscanvas.com. Follow @bradscanvas on Instagram to learn more, see more work by Brad Walls, and stay up to date on exhibitions.

PANAMA CITY
SYMPHONY CELEBRATES ITS 30TH ANNIVERSARY SEASON
By Marta Rose-Thorpe
Photography by Mike Fender

I think of an orchestra season as a work of art in itself… a single canvas composed of many movements, moods, and stories. Each concert has its own character, but together they create a cohesive narrative that reflects who we are as an orchestra, and as a community.
—SERGEY BOGZA
It’s Saturday night in Downtown Panama City, and the Barbara W. Nelson Fine Arts Center is alive! The pre-show fervor follows Symphony patrons into the auditorium as they take their seats. The house lights begin to dim; the clatter slowly fades. Dr. Marlene East, Panama City Symphony’s President of the Board, takes to the stage to welcome the excited crowd. She introduces the Symphony’s board of directors, gives a special thanks to the sponsors and several individuals, and the show begins—a fusion of lively (and sometimes hilarious) theatrics, mischievous songs performed by notable guest artists, and a stage full of vibrant costumes—with a hefty dose of what the Panama City Symphony is best known for: exquisite orchestral music led by the talented Maestro Sergey Bogza.

September 20, 2025, was the opening night of Panama City Symphony’s 30th Anniversary Season, Bogza’s fourth year with the Symphony. That evening, the energy was high as the orchestra performed Symphony & Soul—a collection of rich, melodic classics inspired by the Southern region—to a packed house. The balance of the 2025–2026 Season will include eight more musical concerts, including Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Symphonic Suites on Valentine’s Weekend, the Symphony’s annual black-tie gala—Bella Notte—in February, and in March, the hugely popular Renaissance to Rock-n-Roll with the Will Thompson Band. This year, for the very first time, the Symphony established an adult and children’s community chorus, which will perform at Holiday by the Bay on December 13. As a result, thirty children will have the opportunity to experience performing with the Symphony. Six performances of Musically Up Close!—a more intimate (fifty to seventy-five guests) event featuring special guest artists—will take place throughout the season at the City Hall Rotunda in Downtown Panama City. Every two years (this being the year), the Panama City Symphony also holds an Emerging Artists Competition in June, with young creatives throughout the country auditioning.
To appreciate the sheer energy, charisma, and immense creativity of Maestro Bogza, it is important to go back to the beginning. “One never knows when a small moment can change your life,” Bogza begins. “I was twelve when my mom suggested that my sister and I take piano lessons. By the end of that first lesson, I knew my life was different—I could feel it in my bones on the drive home.” At one point, he shares, he took a summer landscaping job because he needed extra money to buy a trumpet and keep paying for piano lessons. “Besides that, almost all my work has been related to music in some way!”

Several years after he started piano lessons, Bogza founded a youth orchestra. “I had no idea what I was doing at the time, but it taught me so much: how to run a diverse ensemble, arrange music, organize rehearsals, handle fundraising, and build a sense of community. It was my first real glimpse into what leadership in music could be.” He attended Portland State University, where he received his undergraduate degree in music education. He also earned a master’s degree in orchestral conducting from Central Washington University and a doctorate in orchestral conducting from the University of Minnesota. After a few years of conducting and guest conducting appointments, Bogza arrived in Bay County, Florida, in 2021.
Conducting, he shares, feels like touching electricity: “Powerful, divine, and dangerous all at once—a gift sent from above with the quiet instruction to handle with care.” Most concerts become a mental blur, he shares, “but their psychological impact stays deep in my subconscious. I often get flashbacks, memories, sounds, or faces, and it can take time (sometimes with a lot of effort) to figure out where they came from. But then there are concerts I’ll never forget: the time a soprano swallowed a fly mid-aria, and I had to stop the orchestra, or when a storm rolled in during an outdoor performance, and I started conducting a little faster so we could leave the stage.”

Bogza’s musical tastes are as wide-ranging as his season’s expansive lineup. “I feel at home when conducting work for the theatre,” he shares. “Operas, ballets, musicals, and any other productions that combine multiple art forms, preferably all. Anytime I get the opportunity to conduct baroque or Russian music is a special occasion for me . . . or create a brand-new symphonic experience like our Renaissance to Rock-nRoll show or Nightmare by the Bay.” During his past three years, he doesn’t recall the Panama City Symphony presenting what one might call a “traditional” concert. “Each program is carefully curated and built around a unique concept or experience,” he shares. Concerts that involve guest artists stand out the most to Bogza. “There’s something deeply rewarding about sharing the stage with musicians at different points in their artistic journeys.”
As the Symphony’s board of directors has observed, ticket sales and participation have risen from previous years. Bogza continues to elevate community outreach and events, while also increasing educational programming for schools in several counties. And while the Panama City Symphony is experiencing unprecedented growth and expansion this season, Bogza is aware of the need to grow slowly, which he feels allows the organization, the musicians, and the audience to grow together, build trust, strengthen partnerships, and nurture the kind of artistic depth that endures.
“The past three years have been extraordinary,” he says. “The orchestra has grown not just in size and skill, but in spirit. Leading an orchestra is like releasing a powerful flow of energy into the world, knowing that how it touches people’s hearts is beyond your control.”

As the Radio City Rockettes celebrate 100 years of high kicks, holiday magic, and timeless precision, VIE steps behind the curtain with dancer Kristen Welsh to discover the discipline, devotion, and heart that keep this century-old tradition alive.
or a hundred seasons, the Radio City Rockettes have embodied holiday magic: a perfect chorus line of high kicks, synchronized movement, and stagecraft that feels like pure enchantment. Founded in St. Louis, Missouri, in 1925 as the Missouri Rockets, the company relocated to New York City in 1927 before settling into its permanent home at Radio City Music Hall in 1932, where it became known simply as the Rockettes. This year, they celebrate their centennial, with every leap on that storied stage connecting them to generations past. In her eighth season, Kristen Welsh opens the curtain on what it truly means to live as a Rockette: early mornings, rigorous rehearsals, sisterhood, and a deep sense of legacy that has defined generations.
This hundredth year marks a legacy of precision, grace, and unshakable teamwork that has captivated audiences for generations. From their beginnings in 1925 to the dazzling Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall today, the Rockettes remain a symbol of holiday joy and timeless artistry.

For veteran Rockette Kristen, every performance is still as moving as the first. “When you pause and stop and think about the part of history you’re in, it’s so humbling,” she says. “I joined in 2017 and told myself, no matter what, I have to make it to the hundredth anniversary.”
For Kristen, every day during the season begins long before the curtain rises. “I live in New Jersey, so I commute every day,” she shares. “I get up super early. There are two companies—morning and night—and I’m in the morning company. I have a cup of coffee, hang out with my dog, and once I’m on the train around 6:30, I listen to white noise. I like to get to the theater about an hour and a half before hair and makeup.”
Behind the scenes, discipline and endurance drive the dream. The Rockettes’ rehearsal process is famously rigorous: six hours a day, six days a week, for six weeks leading up to opening night. “We learn our numbers very, very quickly, so we have as much time as possible to perfect them,” Kristen explains. “We’re expected to come in at the top of our game, mentally and physically, and be ready to adapt to whatever changes come our way.”
Even once the show opens, the pace doesn’t slow. With up to four performances per day and sixteen shows a week, it takes more than poise and perfect timing to keep the show shining. “People don’t realize how much athleticism is part of the job,” she says. “While we’re performing during the holidays, it’s still a year-round commitment. You have to build endurance and stamina and stay in peak mental and physical shape.”
Through it all, Kristen credits her husband and fellow Rockettes for keeping her grounded. “The thing that reminds me of peace is truly my husband; he’s been

“There are eighty-four people all going through the same thing at the same time. We lean on each other. It’s truly so special.”

there from day one,” she says. “But also the other girls. It’s so special and unique. There are eighty-four people all going through the same thing at the same time. We lean on each other. It’s truly so special.”
Before every show, small rituals help transform nerves into magic. “It’s funny because backstage, different pockets of people have rituals,” Kristen shares. “I have one by myself. The first number is ‘Sleigh Ride,’ and it makes me feel the most like a Rockette. I like to put the costume on, come down to the stage, and pick up my antlers. I always take an extra second to look in the mirror; it’s the costume that made me want to become a Rockette. It makes me emotional.”
She adds, “Even after eight years, I still have pinch-me moments.” That emotional connection began long before her first performance. “When I was four, my parents brought me to the Christmas Spectacular,” Kristen recalls. “I was so hooked and so enamored. The first number was the ‘Sleigh Ride’ number—the music, the choreography, everything pulled on my heart. I cry every time I watch it.”
Her journey from audience member to performer is one of dedication and mentorship. “When I was twelve, I had a mentor who was a former Rockette,” she says. “She trained me in the precision style and taught me the ins and outs. I grew up a competition dancer, and after high school, I moved to New York City. Two years later, I became a Rockette.”
Through the decades, the Rockettes have evolved while preserving their classic elegance. “We’ve really embraced the athleticism,” Kristen says. “We’ve always carried femininity in how we move, but it’s also a sport. The traditional choreography still carries grace and class, but we’ve married it with a modern style. Our ‘Parade of the Wooden Soldiers’ is still the same shape and choreography, and our finale number, ‘Christmas Lights,’ showcases more of a modern energy.”

When asked what keeps audiences returning year after year, Kristen smiles. “We live in a world of constant new, but around the holidays, we crave nostalgia, comfort, and home,” she says. “That’s what the Christmas Spectacular brings, people love to come back with different generations. It’s a true testament to how special it makes people feel.”
For her, the most unforgettable moments happen when she looks into the audience. “Seeing my mom and dad out there for the first time, I’ll never forget it,” Kristen says softly. “They cried, and I cried. It felt like everything we worked for as a family came to life on that stage.”

“It’s unbelievable and so humbling,” she says. “We’re role models for little girls, and we want to be the people they look up to and aspire to be.”
ven amid the busy season, she finds peace in simple joys. “I love cooking—it’s my therapy,” she says. “I love finding recipes and having a creative outlet without stress or perfection. Decorating the tree, spending time with family; it doesn’t have to be crazy, just peaceful.”
When audiences watch the Rockettes perform, Kristen hopes they see more than precision—they see heart. “I hope people can tell we genuinely like each other,” she says. “It’s not about you; it’s a total team effort. I hope it makes them realize how special the Rockettes are and why we’ve been around for a hundred years.”
As the company steps into its centennial season, Kristen reflects on the journey with gratitude. “It’s unbelievable and so humbling,” she says. “We’re role models for little girls, and we want to be the people they look up to and aspire to be. No matter where life takes us, the Rockettes are always with us.”
For young dancers dreaming of joining the line one day, Kristen’s advice is both inspiring and deeply personal. “Never be the person who tells yourself no,” she says. “As soon as we tell ourselves no, we’re immediately counted out. Don’t count yourself out before you’re counted in. Always be the person who says yes to yourself. What you bring to the table is enough. For the right company or the right people, it will be enough for them.” She adds that technical training in ballet, tap, and jazz helps round out aspiring dancers; however, what matters most is believing in yourself and perseverance.
The Christmas Spectacular starring the Radio City Rockettes opens November 6, 2025, and runs through January 5, 2026, at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. For tickets and more information, visit Rockettes.com.

As the holiday season rolls around each year, many people begin to count their blessings of family, friends, great food, and time together. Time spent gathered around a table with those we love can produce lifelong memories and traditions, both new and old. For Rachael Ray, who millions know as the host of several hit cooking television series and talk shows, the holidays are also a time to share gratitude for our other family members—the ones with four legs and fur. A longtime dog lover, Ray and her husband, John Cusimano, will be celebrating the holidays with their rescue pit bull mix, Bella Boo Blue, this year while also helping animals around North America find loving homes.

’ve been an animal lover for as long as I can remember,” Ray shares. “Animals have always been a big part of the family, never just pets. My dogs have been a constant source of comfort and joy for me, so it’s no surprise they’ve been such a big part of my adult life, too.” She describes Bella as “a sweetheart with a little sass! Before Bella, we had Isaboo and Boo, who both lived long, happy
lives. My pets are my heart. They remind me every day to stay grounded, to love without conditions, and to find joy in the small things.”
This love of pets led Ray to use her passion for food to develop Nutrish, her brand of dog and cat food and treats, which launched in 2008. The idea for the brand all started with Isaboo, Ray’s dog, who was entering her senior years at the time. Ray recalls, “When Isaboo got older, I wanted to feed her food that was as wholesome as what I cook for myself and my family. I started making her meals in my own kitchen. That idea—real food for real pets—grew into Nutrish. It wasn’t about building a business; it was about helping more pet parents feed their animals food they can feel good about.”

ay continues, “The biggest non-negotiable was quality. If I wouldn’t feed it to my own dog, it wasn’t going in the bag. Real meat, no fillers, and no artificial colors or flavors was the rule from day one. The challenge was scaling that kind of home-cooked idea into something that could feed pets everywhere without losing integrity. I wanted pet parents to look at the ingredients and feel good.”
Nearly twenty years later, Nutrish has even more wet and dry pet food options than ever, along with an array of tasty treats for training and everyday snacks. The brand’s staple ingredients include real chicken, salmon, venison, and beef, as well as fruits and vegetables such as blueberries, peas, carrots, and pumpkin. Grain-free blends and options for enhanced immune support, digestion, and other dietary needs are also part of the Nutrish lineup.
“It’s come a long way,” Ray says of Nutrish, which was acquired by Post Consumer Brands in 2023. “It’s all built around the same idea of real food, real ingredients, and giving back to animals in need. Now, with Post Consumer Brands helping carry that vision forward, we’re continuing to provide pets with balanced meals and pet parents peace of mind.”
In addition to providing pets with quality flavors, giving back has always been a core mission of Nutrish and the Rachael Ray Foundation, a private nonprofit organization that is fully funded by a portion of the brand’s sales. By partnering with rescue organizations, including the North Shore Animal League America and numerous smaller shelters across the United States, the foundation provides support for food, spay and neuter programs, disaster relief for pets, shelter renovations, and more. “I’m especially proud that Nutrish is the exclusive feeding

partner for North Shore Animal League, helping nourish thousands of animals every year,” says Ray. “Other groups, like the ASPCA and all the other organizations, are also doing amazing work. Small and large, they’re all the heart and soul of the animal rescue world. None of this happens without them.”
As Nutrish continues to grow and evolve alongside the Rachael Ray Foundation, the founder herself is evolving in her culinary career with a new cooking series now streaming online. The demand for social media and digital television series has led to a new format for her famous easy-to-adapt, quick, and
simple meal prepping. “When I started, it was 30-Minute Meals on TV. Now people want everything in thirty seconds on TikTok,” she laughs. “I’ve learned to be more spontaneous and flexible, as cooking today is about connecting in real time. Meals in Minutes—my new show on FYI Network and streaming on Hulu, Disney+, and YouTube—is fun, fast, and it keeps me learning. The goal is still the same, though: make great food approachable for everyone.”

here’s no doubt many great things are still to come for Ray, who would like to say a “big thank you” to all customers who choose Nutrish food and treats for their pets: “Every time you buy Nutrish or support our foundation, you’re part of something bigger. You’re helping animals, families, and communities. That means everything to me. Love your pets, cook with your heart, and keep spreading the good stuff.”

BACK FOR ITS SEVENTH YEAR IN PANAMA CITY, FLORIDA, THE PANAMA CITY SONGWRITERS FESTIVAL CELEBRATED GREAT MUSIC, STORYTELLING, COMMUNITY, AND ONE-OF-A-KIND EXPERIENCES, WITH CONCERTS AND EVENTS TAKING PLACE NOVEMBER 6–8, 2025. THE WEEKEND AND ANNUAL FUNDRAISER FOR THE NONPROFIT BAY YOUTH MUSIC ASSOCIATION FEATURED TWO FULL DAYS OF ORIGINAL MUSIC AT INTIMATE, WALKABLE VENUES THROUGHOUT THE HISTORIC DOWNTOWN DISTRICT.
New to the festival this year, the long weekend kicked off Thursday night with The Four Rooms Experience: A Time Traveler’s Jukebox. This immersive, interactive experience welcomed attendees into four creatively themed rooms at downtown venues, each representing a different genre and era in music. Revival House General Store brought the groovy era of 1960s and ’70s rock and roll, project:STYLE Salon transformed into a John Hughes movie-worthy prom night and cranked up the dance tunes from the ’80s and ’90s, Yard Bar Smoked Meats featured line dancing and music from the best of the country genre along with perfect biscuit sliders, and Bookish Boutique took guests all the way back to the jazz era while popping the bubbly at their wine bar. Groups of guests rotated through the rooms, discovering live music, art, and surprises in each space—but the biggest surprise of all was the "after-party," which led guests back to the Digital Age with a Matrix-inspired dance party at the Panama City Center for the Arts.

Following the time-traveling journey through music history, Friday and Saturday’s songwriter sessions were nothing short of mesmerizing. Stages were set at Atelier, Bookish Boutique, Downtown Boxing Club, Elevation Salon, The Light Room, Millie’s Cafe, The Portal Downtown, and Panama City Center for the Arts. An eclectic mix of local, regional, national, and international songwriters shared their music and the stories behind the songs, with standout performances from rising star Ben Flournoy, country and bluegrass storyteller Lannette Brasher, Americana artist Johnny Hayes, American Idol alumnus Baylee Littrell, indie folk-rocker Thomas Allain, and many more.
At the inception of the festival’s story is Will Thompson, the visionary founder and director behind the event. As a respected local musician and the president and founder of Bay Youth Music Association, he has long championed music education in the community, helping supply instruments to school band programs and awarding scholarships to young musicians. Thompson often emphasizes that music can connect youth, spark creativity, and ensure that music remains a positive force in young lives.
“Music is a vital tool for helping youth become involved in the arts. Sadly, the arts are being cut from school curricula, and kids need our help,” Thompson says. “BYMA has stepped up to the plate, taking responsibility to make certain the music arts are available to youth.”
With the help of Destination Panama City and a host of generous local sponsors, this year’s festival was one to remember! Their support helps sustain and elevate the event, reinforcing a partnership between community development, tourism, and the local arts scene.

New York City during the holidays is a symphony of light, sound, and celebration. At the heart of it all, The Plaza Hotel captures the essence of Christmas like no other, leaving you wrapped in nostalgia and timeless holiday magic.

Boasting gilded interiors, a storied past, and endless charm, this hotel transforms into a true winter wonderland from mid-November to the New Year. This year, guests are invited to experience it all with signature holiday offerings that blend luxurious details with festive spirit.
The season begins with The Plaza’s “Suitest Season of All” package, where guests who book a suite
are welcomed into a space that feels more like an elegant holiday residence than a hotel room. A towering seven-foot tree stands proudly in each suite, illuminated and accompanied by seasonal floral arrangements and a welcome gift. This is the kind of atmosphere that invites guests to slow down, pour a glass of champagne, and savor the beauty of the holiday.
While the hotel does a fantastic job of capturing the beauty of a winter wonderland, it would not be Christmastime at The Plaza without a nod to the hotel’s pop culture legacy, Kevin McCallister. The beloved Home Alone 2 experience is back, inviting fans to relive the magic of McCallister’s New York adventure. Guests can step into scenes from the classic film, explore the city with curated itineraries, and enjoy playful touches that pay homage to the movie that made The Plaza a holiday icon for generations to come.

rue luxury is effortless. It’s meant to linger in the back of your mind long after the moment has passed. International tour operator HunterMoss was born from this philosophy, celebrating it with every detail.
ofounders Julie Hunter and Anthony Moss were devoted travelers long before they were business founders, building HunterMoss around the principle that travel should inspire freedom and discovery. What was once a small collection of European driving tours has grown into a global business, offering tailor-made experiences across an impressive portfolio of continents, cuisines, and cultures. While the company’s offerings have grown to include eclectic wine and gastronomy experiences, its essence remains true to its origins.
“We take time to understand our guests on a personal level: their preferences, their passions, even the little rituals that make them feel at home,” says Julie Hunter, COO. “From there, we design each journey as a narrative, with rhythm, emotion, and discovery woven through every moment.”
The travel market has undergone numerous transformations since HunterMoss was founded in 2008. Today’s travelers crave authenticity and connection even more than opulence. HunterMoss has embraced this shift, leaning into its mission to create personalized experiences for each guest. “Our guests don’t just want to visit a destination; they want to feel a part of it,” Julie explains. “They want to meet the winemaker, dine in the chef’s kitchen, or drive a route known only to locals. We curate journeys that allow for those moments of genuine discovery, while ensuring the overall experience feels seamless and considered.”
Responding to demand for shorter, high-impact adventures from loyal guests, HunterMoss has recently expanded into the United States. Weekend getaways in California’s coastal wine country or an escape to the Smoky Mountains distill the brand’s iconic adventures into three- or four-day escapes, offering busy guests the opportunity to experience the same level of thoughtful hospitality and immersive experiences.
“It’s been incredibly rewarding to see how well these experiences resonate,” Julie notes. “They allow guests to reconnect with the joy of the journey—to step away from their everyday routine and into something immersive, beautiful, and distinctly HunterMoss.”

HunterMoss recently debuted its Winter Tour & Ice Driving Experience in the Austrian and Bavarian Alps, perfect for an adventurous and luxurious holiday getaway.

Each destination has its own rhythm, and HunterMoss aspires to build upon it rather than overwrite it. The organization collaborates closely with local experts and artisans, and partners with a shared dedication to authentic experiences and the finest details. Whether cruising a McLaren GT through Tuscany or piloting a Ferrari Purosangue across the Japanese Alps, the HunterMoss touch is undeniable.
Partnerships are no exception. Luxury automakers, boutique hoteliers, Michelin-starred chefs, and cultural institutions all align with the HunterMoss ethos, enriching every step of the journey. Each partner becomes an integral part of the guest’s journey. One moment, guests are test-driving a world-class automobile along hidden local roads; the next, they’re savoring an intimate meal crafted by celebrated regional chefs.
As HunterMoss moves forward, it continues to innovate the luxury travel space, introducing a new series of curated expeditions while prioritizing sustainability and regenerative travel. Each journey is designed to give back to the communities, cultures, and environments that host them. The brand’s vision is to redefine experiential design, intertwining the threads of adventure, culture, and personal connection to inspire even the most seasoned travelers.
“I feel incredibly proud of the community that has grown around HunterMoss, our guests, our partners, and our team,” Julie reflects.

Artist Mindy Moore was “thrilled to pieces” to be chosen as Walton County’s Artist of the Year. For her, the recognition is not just a career milestone but also a celebration of the restoration, community, and creativity that fuel her work.
Moore has lived in Santa Rosa Beach since 2005, and while she spent many years working as a graphic designer, a personal hardship steered the direction of her artistic journey. Not long after she began painting full-time in 2019, a forest fire devastated her neighborhood. But the following spring, she watched with awe as the land bloomed back stronger than ever.
“Mother Nature came back and took over with a vengeance,” Moore recalls. “The green and the flowers—I had never seen them bloom and grow that boldly before. She wasn’t giving up.”
Now, when Moore looks out across her backyard, she sees more than the lawn, the scatter of pine trees, and the quiet sweep of the Choctawhatchee Bay—she sees inspiration. The colors of the water and woods have become the foundation of her work, an abstract exploration of nature’s power to endure and restore. “I’m inspired by the environment out here,” she says. “You’ll find a lot of the colors I use are greens and blues. There are some pieces that look more like the woods— the earthy colors. And then there are some that look more like sand and surf.”

The Artist of the Year award honors a Walton County artist whose unique artistic expression captures the essence of the destination’s renowned creativity and beauty. For Moore, being named Artist of the Year is a recognition of both her work and the journey behind it—one marked by resilience, reflection, and renewal.
“As an artist, I create because I need self-expression,” Moore says. “To be acknowledged by my community for something so personal, to have my work represent Walton County, it scares me a little, but it’s also brought me many moments of bliss. This award is a significant milestone for me.”
Since immersing herself in the art world, Moore has also become a vital part of the local creative community. Through the Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County, she has shown her work at the Foster Gallery, the Bayou Arts Center, Point Washington Medical Center, and other regional art shows. Most recently, Moore’s paintings have been on display at the Ria Leigh Gallery in Grayton Beach. Her expertise has led her to serve as a judge for ArtsQuest, the CAA’s signature fine arts festival, and as a member of the Arts in Education committee, where she helps foster creativity in the next generation of artists.
When Moore began painting, she knew she wanted to work in abstract—and she approached it with both curiosity and courage. “I didn’t know how or what
the next step was,” Moore says. “I would just start without any kind of intention of knowing. I would think, ‘Explore, and something will happen.’ And a lot of times, something did happen.”
Her work embraces imperfection. Moore reminds herself that no one creates a masterpiece with their first brushstrokes. “I start by making a mess on the canvas,” she explains. “And then I try masking things off that I do like, finding the things that are beautiful and focusing on that.”
That willingness to embrace uncertainty is at the heart of Moore’s philosophy. She doesn’t expect perfection—in fact, she leans into mistakes. A favorite quote from cartoonist Scott Adams has become her mantra: “Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes, and art is deciding which of those to keep.”
She adds, “Make mistakes, and learn what works and learn what doesn’t. That’s the art.”

Among her many projects, one stands out as deeply personal: her Thought series. The collection explores what it might look like to extract a thought from the mind and give it form on canvas.
“It’s how I would imagine a thought to look,” Moore says. “It would have a lot of different emotions and stories feeding into it. They’re complicated. They’re always moving. Always organic.” The idea was loosely inspired by the Roald Dahl classic The BFG , where the “Big Friendly Giant” collects and delivers dreams. Moore reimagines that magical act through paint, layering textures and colors to capture the fleeting, often chaotic nature of thought. Each painting, she explains, feels like a cross-section of her inner life. And the process has been profoundly therapeutic. “I recognize the importance of how you curate your own thoughts and going back to what you give attention to,” she says. “I’m pouring so much thought into them. Not necessarily about the painting, but I work things out in my head as I’m working things out on the canvas.”
For Moore, the Thought series has become both an artistic expression and a form of meditation—a way to turn inward, process life’s challenges, and transform them into something tangible and beautiful.

Moore says her paintings aren’t about control but about discovery. Out of ruin, something new emerges. Out of mistakes, unexpected beauty takes shape. Out of tangled thoughts, a canvas finds its form.

And in that way, her art mirrors not just the landscape of Walton County, but also the enduring spirit of the artist herself.

An ICONIC STAYon the UPPER EAST SIDE

By JORDAN STAGGS

ucked between first-class shopping and the foliage of Central Park, The Mark offers a glamorous home away from home for those seeking a luxury stay in Manhattan with all the best amenities. From dining and entertainment to wellness and iconic collaborations, this boutique property offers a five-star stay to remember. Its “boldly lavish” interiors and lifestyle recently gained The Mark praise as one of the World’s 50 Best Hotels 2025—the only NYC hotel and one of two in the US to make the list.
The Mark experience begins even before one steps through the gilded doors of the 1927 Renaissance Revival-style building at 77th and Madison. It’s home to around 150 guest rooms and suites, including three penthouses, all surrounded by views ranging from the city skyline to the park. Upper East-Siders walk their affluent pups up and down Madison Avenue or pass by the stylish yet simple The Mark Haute Dog Cart that sits in front of the hotel most days, welcoming guests and the public alike with gourmet New York-style hot dogs with a range of available toppings. The Mark Flower Cart also graces the sidewalk nearby, displaying fresh blossoms, seasonal decor, or the hotel’s latest fashionable collab, such as its recent launch of The Mark x Fefé by Dolce & Gabbana—a line of luxury pet perfume for the most stylish four-legged guests.
Entering the lobby of The Mark, you’ll immediately notice the striking blackand-white striped flooring, statement lighting by Ron Arad, jewel-toned seating, and bold artwork—the curations of French interior designer Jacques Grange, who took on the project in the late aughts and has since worked with the hotel on not only its common spaces but its guest rooms, suites, and penthouses. Neon art by Warren Neidich on the exterior of the building sets the tone for a high-end yet playful collection within, including pieces by Rachel Howard, Karl Lagerfeld, Todd Eberle, and more. Illustrator Jean‐Philippe Delhomme captures the heart and spirit of The Mark in his series that can be found throughout the hotel’s branded materials, from the website to information cards, numerous gifts found in Le Shop, and even on each room’s bath products. The illustrations depict the high-fashion yet eclectic, artsy soul of The Mark, its locale, and its guests.

Speaking of art—with The Metropolitan Museum, The Frick Collection, The Guggenheim, and countless galleries nearby, it’s no wonder The Mark has become a New York cultural hub for locals, celebrities, and guests alike. You might recognize its entryway as the backdrop of some of the most iconic photos taken during the annual Met Gala, which has become a revered celeb-studded fundraiser for The Met’s Costume Institute. The exclusive invite-only event brings A-listers from across the globe, dressed by the world’s top designers in themed couture, and many of them spend their time getting ready at The Mark, prompting a throng of photographers to greet them outside the hotel’s doors as they head to the museum. Anna Wintour, Cynthia Erivo, Sabrina Carpenter, Jeff Goldblum, Jenna Ortega, Ashley Graham, and Alton Mason are just a handful of those who called The Mark their home base for the 2025 gala in May.

After a day of exploring NYC, guests can return to world-class dining curated by Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten. Soak in the ambience at The Mark Bar while lounging on custom furnishings by Guy de Rougemont and Vladimir Kagan, sipping signature cocktails, and immersing yourself in the culture of Manhattan’s elite.
Just steps away is The Mark Restaurant by Jean-Georges, where guests and locals alike can partake in gourmet offerings from breakfast to late-night. Starting the morning with The Mark Breakfast (two organic eggs, choice of protein, toast, fresh juice, and coffee or tea) or buttermilk pancakes with fresh fruit is the perfect way to fuel up for a walk through Central Park or a day of browsing the museums. Dinner is a lively and chic yet casual affair, with a worldly menu boasting a mix of fresh seafood and raw bar favorites, Italian classics like handmade pasta and pizzas, French onion soup, burrata with fig, a range of salads, and entrées like prime 28-day dry-aged New York Strip, grilled sea bass, and The Mark Cheeseburger topped with Brie and black truffle dressing.
If you think that sounds like the pinnacle of casual fine dining in Manhattan, just wait until you round the corner and enter Caviar Kaspia at The Mark. (We bet you can’t guess what it’s known for.) Also outfitted by designer Jacques Grange, the intimate bar and dining room both invite guests to explore the world of caviar, whether you’re new to the renowned delicacy or an expert in the field. The menu offers an extensive range of caviar available in tasting sizes of 30 to 500 grams, served with all the accoutrements, including mini blinis, crème fraîche, and various toppings. The house caviar also tops most menu items, including French fries, grilled cheese, pizza, the wagyu burger, omelettes, and Kaspia’s signature baked potatoes. Over the summer, Caviar Kaspia’s soft-serve caviar sundae was a huge hit, along with the outdoor The Mark Clam Bar, which has transformed for the cooler months into The Mark Chalet, bringing chic ski lodge vibes to the Upper East Side.

Once guests have eaten their fill, they can indulge in pampering and wellness at The Mark, starting in the state-of-the-art Technogym fitness center, which recently opened on the second floor and offers a range of equipment and programmable workouts tailored to each user, helping them keep up with their goals while traveling. Coming soon, the Augustinus Bader Spa is set to open in early 2026 with a menu of services and products from the luxury brand that created The Skin Lab. Current offerings include massages and bodywork, personal training sessions, IV drips, facials, and skincare consultations in collaboration with renowned aesthetician, Dr. Barbara Sturm.

And whether prepping for a red-carpet event or just a night on the town, Frédéric Fekkai Salon at The Mark has guests covered with top-notch hairstyling and more, including Fekkai’s full range of hair and body-care products available so guests can keep up the pampering in the room and at home. Highly recommended is enjoying a hair wash and blowout while overlooking Madison Avenue before heading to your next dinner date!
Of course, after taking in all the glitz, glamour, hustle, and bustle of being in Manhattan, it’s the respite of your guest room that takes priority, and The Mark delivers. From the furnishings to the bedding, sumptuous robes and slippers, large bathtubs, and showers whose water pressure is often remarked upon by guests—one even asked where they could get the showerhead for their house, we were told—a blend of comfort and luxury greets guests upon arrival and after every outing. Turndown service with gourmet chocolates is always appreciated, while the hotel’s focus on sustainability is reflected in its cleaning practices, intelligent heating and cooling systems, focus on local produce in its restaurants, and available eco-friendly pedicab and bike transportation options.
For those seeking a true home away from home, The Mark’s Suites and Signature Suites give guests more space to relax and spread out during longer stays— but it’s the three Penthouses that truly make the hotel stand apart from the rest. Its many accolades are unsurprising when one sees the apartment-style living available on the building’s upper floors. The Madison Penthouse has one king bedroom, two queen bedrooms, an enormous living and dining space, and a full kitchen, plus a stylish terrace overlooking Madison Ave. Meanwhile, The Central Park Penthouse on the hotel’s west side naturally boasts views of the park from its terrace and many windows, with five bedrooms to accommodate larger parties and events.
But it’s The Mark Penthouse that has become the crème de la crème, earning the title of the largest hotel penthouse suite in the US, with over 10,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor living space. It spans the top two floors of the hotel, with five bedrooms, four fireplaces, six bathrooms, two powder rooms, and two wet bars. A private Technogym and Augustinus Bader Spa room are also coming soon. The Living Room at The Mark Penthouse, with beautiful 26-foot vaulted ceilings, can be transformed into a full-sized Grand Ballroom for special events. (Did we mention Meghan Markle’s baby shower was held there in 2019?)

There’s no place on earth like the Upper East Side, where fashion, art, architecture, and luxury intersect in a distinctly New York way. It’s a lifestyle and an experience all at once. Whether you’re visiting the city for the Met Gala, a romantic weekend getaway, a holiday trip with friends, or a business endeavor, each stay at The Mark is sure to be more memorable than the last.

The SEASIDE® story celebrating the town's entrepreneurial spirit, as told through the perspectives of cofounder/visionary Daryl Rose Davis, VP of The Seaside Style® Erica Pierce, and many more.

Cabana by The
There is a new kind of sparkle catching the light in Seaside, Florida, and it fits beautifully into the relaxed elegance that defines this coastal town. Cabana by The Seaside Style has been known for curating collections that feel timeless, effortless, and full of personality, and enewton jewelry has found a permanent home here. The brand’s 14-karat gold-filled bracelets, necklaces, and earrings are designed to be worn every day, keeping their shine through swims, workouts, evenings out, and more. Each piece invites layering, stacking, and personal expression, blurring the line between luxury and lifestyle.
Walking into Cabana feels like stepping into a moment of calm. Sunlight filters through the windows, reflecting off displays filled with chic resort wear, accessories, and gifts that embody the Seaside lifestyle. Inside, a dedicated enewton area—the largest collection of enewton jewelry found in any single location— highlights the brand’s most popular pieces alongside exclusive designs inspired by Seaside. The partnership feels effortless, rooted in shared values of simplicity, authenticity, and timeless quality. For locals and visitors alike, it offers a chance to take home a keepsake that embodies the coastal spirit.
VIE : Tell us how it all started! What inspired The Seaside Style to bring enewton jewelry to Cabana?
THE SEASIDE STYLE TEAM: It It all started at market when our Senior Director of Brand Development and Marketing, Kendall Andrews, wandered off to explore vendors and stumbled upon enewton. She immediately fell in love with the pieces and knew she had to share them with the team. She brought Vice President Erica Pierce and General Manager & Chief Creative Officer Makenzie Carter
to see the collection as well. They had the chance to meet Elizabeth in person, hit it off immediately, and it was clear this was a partnership worth pursuing. At the time, enewton was still a very small, new business, and the following week, Elizabeth traveled from Atlanta to Seaside to tour our stores and kick off the partnership. From that first encounter, it’s been all about bringing the effortless elegance, timeless style, and wearable luxury of enewton to SEASIDE®.
VIE : What does it mean for Cabana to carry enewton as a flagship collection in Seaside?
We could not be more honored that Elizabeth Newton chose Cabana to be the first enewton flagship store! Having a dedicated enewton space within our storefront allows us to give our guests a true shop-within-a-shop experience that feels personal, thoughtful, and unique to SEASIDE®.
VIE : Will there be pieces or collections exclusive to the Seaside location? What can visitors expect when shopping enewton at Cabana?
We do carry exclusive enewton pieces that you won’t find anywhere else! These styles are inspired by SEASIDE®, featuring our landmarks, such as the iconic Post Office and the Coleman Pavilion, along with Bud the Dachshund and more. Our guests can expect a curated shopping experience designed to feel elevated and inviting, where every detail, from the display to the design, celebrates the partnership we have with enewton.
VIE : How do you hope enewton enhances the shopping experience for your Seaside customers?
Our enewton collection invites guests to find jewelry that feels personal, whether it’s something they can wear every day, give to someone special, or collect over time. It’s approachable luxury with meaning behind it, and it complements the relaxed, coastal lifestyle our guests love. Whether you’re discovering enewton for the first time or adding to your stack, we want every visit to feel special.
VIE : How does enewton jewelry complement the aesthetic and lifestyle that The Seaside Style promotes in Seaside?

enewton jewelry complements the SEASIDE® lifestyle because it was truly made for life at the beach. It’s designed to be worn every day, through every swim, sweat, and shower. Each piece is 14-karat gold-filled, not plated, meaning it won’t turn or tarnish, which is perfect for our laid-back, beach-town lifestyle. Just like Seaside, enewton captures the beauty of effortless elegance. It’s timeless and easy to wear wherever the day takes you.
VIE : Are there particular pieces or collections you expect to resonate most with Seaside shoppers?
Absolutely! Guests love picking up an exclusive SEASIDE® piece as a special way to remember their trip and have it as a meaningful keepsake. Our customers can’t get enough of enewton’s classic gold pieces either, because they’re timeless, effortless, and designed to be worn every day. And for those who love a little color, the Hope Unwritten collection has been such a hit! It’s bright, happy, and perfect for sunny beach days.

VIE : Will there be any special events, trunk shows, or interactive experiences tied to enewton in Cabana?
We were thrilled to welcome Elizabeth Newton herself in-store for our Italian Summer Soiree, giving guests the chance to meet the designer and experience her collections firsthand. We hope to continue creating more opportunities like this in the future, allowing our guests to connect with the brand in a meaningful and memorable way.
VIE: What feedback have you received so far from shoppers about enewton jewelry?
The feedback has been amazing! Guests often tell us that it’s the biggest enewton collection they’ve ever seen—it is the most extensive collection in any store—and they love being able to explore so many pieces in one place. We consistently hear how thoughtful, timeless, and wearable the jewelry is, and it’s so rewarding to see our customers find pieces they treasure, whether it’s a classic gold staple, a colorful statement, or an exclusive SEASIDE® design.

VIE : How do you see this partnership with enewton evolving in the future for Seaside visitors?
We see this partnership continuing to grow and evolve in exciting ways. From expanding the selection of exclusive SEASIDE® pieces to hosting more in-store events and interactive experiences with Elizabeth Newton, we want every visit to feel special. Our goal is to create a space where visitors can explore, discover, and take home a meaningful piece of jewelry.
Seaside is a place where effortless style meets coastal charm, and the enewton collection at Cabana by The Seaside Style embodies that spirit perfectly. From exclusive keepsakes to classic everyday staples, every piece invites you to layer, mix, and make it your own. It is jewelry designed to live through every moment at the beach, each piece radiant, timeless, and full of personal meaning. Whether you are a longtime fan or just discovering enewton for the first time, a visit to Cabana is an opportunity to experience the effortless elegance that makes Seaside so special.

Australian aerial photographer Brad Walls reimagines the elegance of classical ballet through several photo series, including PASSÉ (2025) and Ballerine de l’Air (2020). These works capture dancers from above, transforming familiar positions into a geometry of light and shadow that is aesthetically rooted in his desire to challenge conventional perspectives. As he noted when discussing Ballerine de l’Air, “I wanted to rewrite the composition… purely focusing on the unique shapes and shadows of the art form.” With his streamlined aerial vantage, Walls invites us to consider the tension between control and release, discipline and expression, revealing that beneath poised lines lies longing, movement, and an unspoken story. Through his lens, ballet becomes not only performance, but also poetry.

Between the holiday parties, family gatherings, and twinkling lights, December has a way of rushing in loudly. But when the noise settles, we’re often left with reflection—sometimes bittersweet. If you’re not where you hoped you’d be this year, you’re not alone. I’ve been there too.
I know all too well that we often can feel the ache of the things that don’t change around this time of year. The relationships that didn’t turn out how we wanted, the new opportunity that never came to fruition, or the things that feel left undone can really sting. We silently swore to ourselves last holiday season, “This time next year will be different,” and now it’s here. Often, it doesn’t seem like anything has changed. Or it has changed, but not for the better.
I want to remind you: the past 365 days have been full. There have been vacations and weddings, celebrations and babies, promotions and milestones. There have also been rainy days and breakups, mourning and loss, endings and letdowns. These are all signs of life moving even when we want it to stop.
There is tension in living in-between: beauty and pain, celebration and disappointment. And the holidays tend to be glaring reminders that both exist simultaneously.
Last December, I sat in my living room before sunrise. The tree lights blinked softly against the dark window, and I felt the weight of another year that hadn’t gone as planned. Some prayers hadn’t been answered yet, and some dreams still felt far off. But in that quiet moment, something shifted. I realized the lights weren’t there to erase the dark; they were there to remind me it doesn’t win. Maybe that’s what hope really is: not pretending everything’s perfect, but daring to believe that light can exist in the middle of the darkness.
Before we turn to what’s hopeful, I want to give you permission to admit this season of life isn’t what you expected or wanted. Whatever hard or disappointing thing you are facing as you walk into the end of this year is painful. You are allowed to feel that pain. Grieve, cry, yell, or talk to a friend. You don’t have to slap on a smile and force yourself to seem happy for the sake of others. There is healing that comes when we allow ourselves to grieve.
The move from pain to hope isn’t a clean line. Sometimes it’s a slow shuffle, sometimes it’s standing still and waiting for the light to shift. In the midst of the hard times, I don’t want you to lose hope.
Even when the year didn’t turn out the way we hoped, there are usually threads of goodness woven into the story—if we slow down enough to see them. What if you took a few moments to reflect? Where did you see growth? Can you recall a moment of unexpected laughter? Did something you prayed for or hoped for happen in a small way you could have missed?
If you find yourself tired of trying, weary from struggling to cope with the demands of daily life, or exhausted from having your hopes raised only to be disappointed, I have something to tell you: God has not forgotten you or left you behind. He is still working in your life, even when it doesn’t feel like it.
Hope doesn’t always come as a grand revelation; sometimes it’s handed to us quietly—in a shared meal, a handwritten card, or a friend who sits with us in the waiting room. The holidays can remind us that we were never meant to walk through life alone. When we reach out to someone else, even from our own broken place, we both get to experience something beautiful.
Friend, a lot can change in a year, but a lot can also change in a day. What if it all looks different a year from now? How would you live if you knew that it would? With hope?
In the meantime, I don’t want you to miss what’s right in front of you. There is so much beauty to experience, even while we wish things were different.
Keep praying. Keep believing. Keep hoping.
You don’t have to force hope, but you don’t have to fear it, either. Because if anything, this time of year reminds us that God keeps all His promises, because He sent Jesus. And together, we can be hopeful that He is not yet done working.

It’s Christmas Day, and it’s
Where laughter dances through chilly nights
So happy Christmas, oh what a delight and Children’s laughter fills the frosty air and Peace and love are flowing everywhere, and Snowflakes whisper a soft, gentle prayer
Twirling like tiny dancers on Christmas Day
Stockings hang low with dreams tucked inside
While hope and love walk side by side and Joyful carols rise, a harmonious sound
And we praise our savior Lord Jesus Christ on Christmas Day
A time to reflect on those we hold dear and
With every embrace, let the magic ignite
And we hold peace and love inside our hearts
On Christmas night, we’ll stop and pray for our loved ones who have sadly passed away They’re forever and always inside our hearts on this Christmas Day
And the stars shine down with a glittering glow
Like diamonds above in the blanket of snow
A wish upon one for peace and for grace
Happy Christmas to all in this beautiful space
And with every heartbeat, let love fill the air
And little children’s laughter is everywhere, so
Happy Christmas to you all, and may you always find care
Through the years and the seasons in all that we do
Let the spirit of Christmas shine brightly in you
So happy Christmas to everyone around the world.
God bless you all, and may you all have a beautiful and magical Christmas Day.
