Howe sales tax ahead of 2021 pace by 10 percent Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced today he will send cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose taxing districts $1.2 billion in local sales tax allocations for May, 11.8 percent more than in May 2021. These allocations are based on sales made in March by businesses that report tax monthly, and sales made in January, February and March by quarterly filers.
In Howe, the May total was $54,702 which is a tick ahead of last year’s May total. For the year, Howe is ahead by 10.72 percent at $230,840.10
