Two HHS Seniors sign for extracurricular at D-1 schools

Come next fall, Howe High School will be represented at major college football games on Saturday as two seniors signed their letters on Wednesday at Howe High School. Mikayla Doty will be heading to Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma to join the Cowboy Marching Band. Fellow senior Taylor Hartsfield will be headed to the University of North Texas where she will be a member of the North Texas Cheerleaders.
Doty, said that after state competition in 2017, she decided that marching and playing her instrument wasn't something she was ready to be done with. "I knew I was good enough to perform at a higher level so Feb. 1 I auditioned there and didn't hear back until April," said Doty.
