Michaela Bledsoe, 2014 graduate of Howe High School, would like to say thank you to her Agricultural Science Teachers: Mrs Blum and Mr Vincent, the Howe FFA Booster Club, and all her teachers and community members who have supported her Your contributions towards scholarships, a scholarship from the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, and a scholarship from the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society have made it possible for her to attend college She wants you to know that she is working hard to make you all proud of the student you invested in After receiving her Associate of Science summa cum laude from Grayson College, she is in her senior year at Texas A&M University – Commerce pursuing her Bachelor of Agriculture Science and Technology

‘Agricultural Education’ The School of Agriculture presented

She is an officer in the Collegiate FFA and represented the University at the State Convention where she placed 1st in Prepared Public Speaking and 6th in Lesson Plan event. Also in the School of Ag, she participated in the Livestock Judging Team and was elected as the Second Vice President for the Agricultural Sorority Sigma Alpha, which will be chartered this fall She was on the President’s Honor Roll each semester and was inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society (top 10 percent of students at Commerce) She is also the Success Networking Team Coordinator for the National Society of Leadership and Success, was the captain for her intermural volleyball team on campus, has volunteered in many community service events, and will be a math tutor for the University starting this fall semester All of these involvements and opportunities led to her receiving the Mayo Scholarship from the University Most recently, she was awarded the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Achievement Scholarship for academic excellence She is looking forward to her graduation this upcoming spring and towards a future of giving back to the community who has given her so much
