Lady Bulldogs beat Lone Oak, lose to Whitewright
Kamryn Fulenchek shoots a free throw. Photo by Michelle Carney The Howe Lady Bulldogs split the two games this week by beating Lone Oak, 53-39 and losing to Whitewright on Friday night, 4838. In Tuesday's win, Peyton Streetman led all Howe scorers, which has become a theme, with her 16 points. She teamed with Madisyn Hargrove, who had perhaps her largest scoring total of the season at 13 thanks to hitting three three-pointers.
Howe held the slimmest of margins after the first quarter, 1211 but went on an 18-5 run to take a 30-16 lead into the halftime locker room. Howe also took the third quarter, 15-13 but Lone Oak finished strong with a 10-8 run. Other scorers for Howe were Kayla Anderson (10), Jenna Honore (4), Landry Rhoten (4), Cally Vick (2), Emily Sanders (2), and Ally Harvey (2).
