Driving into the fast-growing community of Avenir, you are greeted with manicured roads, graceful palms and newly built homes. Tranquil roads lead to the circular drive in front of the Blue Heron, Avenir’s east clubhouse. Luxury free of ostentation, the modern building blends Spanish-style architecture with reimagined traditional elements to welcome members of the Avenir community.
If you have walked through the doors of the Blue Heron, chances are you have met Lifestyle Director Patrice Chiaramonte, who exudes warmth and genuine care. Originally a New Jersey native, Chiaramonte moved to Florida in 2014 to attend college and found her niche in Palm Beach Gardens in 2021. Her background in hospitality began as a child, helping out her grandparents with their event photography business,
later gaining years of event planning experience in the Miami area. When she came to Avenir, Chiaramonte felt immediately that it was where she was supposed to be.
Her role sets the tone for the Blue Heron, and, really, the eastern Avenir community at large. For Chiaramonte, each day might look a bit different, but the through line is the same: she meets the social needs of the people. She plans and executes all the events at the clubhouse. She works with the homeowners’ association and manages vendor services. And, of course, she is the overall face of the clubhouse. Everyone who walks by Chiaramonte is greeted by name.
“A big part of the job here is just talking to people, seeing what people want and making the community happy,” Chiaramonte explained.

She is glad to take requests for programs from the community, while also staying up to date on trends and fresh event ideas. For example, she created a garden market featuring local businesses. Some programs have been educational, like a hurricane expo and a CPR event. Other programs include a holiday boutique, tribute bands, dance classes, music classes for children,

partnerships with organizations like the Nest and much more.
“If I can make the community happy, I will do it any way I can, because I work for them,” Chiaramonte noted.
In addition to the programming that Chiaramonte provides, the Blue Heron is home to a host of amenities. The 16,000-square-foot clubhouse boasts a welcoming foyer with a fireplace, a club room with a cozy library nook, an expansive event hall, a fully outfitted gym, an aerobics room and a dedicated place for children’s activities.
The community space extends outside to the poolside cabanas and pavilions with a firepit, an eight-person spa, a lap pool, and a splash pad and playground for children. The entertainment continues at the eight tennis courts, six pickleball courts and two event lawns.
Despite the multitude of comforts and activities at the Blue Heron, don’t make the mistake of believing that this is all the community has to offer. The clubhouse is a place of gathering where real connection and community are fostered.
“In this day and age, people really just want the simple thing of connection,” Chiaramonte explained.
The Blue Heron is not limited to the traditional definition of a country club, where members’ sole interest lies in golf, tennis or swimming. It’s a site where neighbors interact and build relationships.
“I like to say that the clubhouse is an extension of people’s homes,” Chiaramonte said. “It’s a place where everyone can feel involved and included, and different types of people with different backgrounds and different interests can all come here and feel like there’s something for them.”

There is no one type of person who calls Avenir home. The community is as varied as the activities offered at the Blue Heron; anyone can find a niche. Expect to see people in all stages of life frequenting the clubhouse, whether they come every day to work remotely, or drop by on the weekend to cool off at the pool.

“If you are 55 and over, you can find your 55 and older friends. If you are a young family, you can find those friends — you have that community. There is something for everyone,” Chiaramonte said.
Creating relationships is the true core of Chiaramonte’s work at the Blue Heron. Residents have arrived from across the nation, some just moving north from Miami, while others traversing much longer distances. Wherever their origin, residents are looking for friendship and community.
Chiaramonte helps members connect, and the Blue Heron is the perfect site for it.
“My favorite thing to do,” she said, “is to connect [newcomers] with other people, and the next thing I know, they’re coming into the clubhouse and hanging out together.”
Avenir residents are flocking to the Blue Heron to form an intentional community that creates programming reflecting what members want.
“I don’t want to just cater toward one type of event or one type of thing that makes people come together,” Chiaramonte said. “We have to do different things. I think this diversity is what makes Avenir different.”

Creating a community from the ground up is no mere feat, but that is the journey Avenir embarked upon starting more than a decade ago.
Before being acquired by Avenir Development LLC, the property was known as the Vavrus Ranch, owned by the late Charles Vavrus Sr., who passed away in 2014. A number of ideas for the development of the 4,752-acre tract were proposed before the Avenir plan took root.
Once Avenir Development took control of the land, they began years of discussions with the City of Palm Beach Gardens to negotiate the design of what has been described as “the most innovative development to happen to Palm Beach County in a generation.” The sustainable community was “conceived by a creative team of awardwinning, visionary architects, designers and planners who bring creativity and thought to every detail,” according to Avenir’s web site. This includes a care-
fully planned community with a focus on wide-open spaces.
Based in Coral Gables, Landstar Development Group, which is related to Avenir Development LLC, dates back to 1978 and brings to Avenir generations of experience in high-end Florida developments, both residential and commercial.
Starting from those 4,752 acres, Avenir has now become a premier destination community in the western reaches of Palm Beach Gardens on the north side of Northlake Blvd. Aside from approximately 3,900 homes, Avenir is planned for 200,000 square feet of commercial space, 1.8 million square feet of office space, a 53,000-squarefoot hospital and 2,407 acres for conservation. That conservation land will be transformed into a dedicated nature preserve featuring extensive walking trails that residents and their families will enjoy for decades to come.
Each street and neighborhood in
Avenir was designed with the goal of fostering a tight-knit community. Roads were planned for golf cart accessibility and biking in mind. Proximity to green spaces, trails, outdoor activities and even a community-wide farm are integral to the project. Combining the convenience of necessities and amenities alike with a socially active and integrated environment was paramount while laying the foundations of Avenir.
Toll Brothers, Kenco, DiVosta and K. Hovnanian were among the first builders to begin home construction in Avenir in 2020. With a wide array of beautiful home choices in a range of floorplans, all complete with luxury appointments, anyone can find their dream home in Avenir.
The list of amenities grows longer with the two Avenir clubhouses: Blue Heron, the eastern clubhouse, and Great Egret, the western clubhouse. The Blue Heron boasts 16,000 square feet of space to socialize and

relax. Outfitted inside with a clubroom, event hall and fitness area, and outside a pool, with a firepit and cabanas, children’s splash pad, eight tennis courts and six pickleball courts, there are endless ways to spend a day or meet your neighbors. Community events and planned programs make this a thriving social hub.
The upcoming Great Egret clubhouse will provide 28,000 square feet of space for activities and amenities for residents of all ages. Sauna and steam rooms, and massage rooms, offer a chance to relax. A restaurant, indoor and outdoor bars, two card rooms, an outdoor pavilion and two pools create the perfect environment for socializing or simply recharging. Nine tennis courts, 12 pickleball courts, a full basketball court and a playground make outdoor time exciting for everyone.
Along with tennis and pickleball in the clubhouses, golf reigns supreme at Avenir. Panther National, with a golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus and Justin Thomas, presents a private 18hole championship golf course bordering the nature preserve. With its own clubhouse set to conclude construction in late 2026, this 400-acre gated community is a golfer’s paradise with additional practice areas and approximately 200 estate homes.
The Sandhill Crane Golf Club, Palm Beach Gardens’ public golf course, is situated directly east of Avenir and is ac-
cessible by golf cart. This par-72 course was renovated in 2013 by Dusenberry Design. The 22,000-square-foot clubhouse holds the Dancing Crane restaurant and offers a multitude of events and programs for golfers of all ages.
Part of Sandhill Crane, the Nest Golf Course is a newly built public par 3 course created by Nicklaus Design. Opened in 2023, the Nest offers a driving range with 18 covered and 20 uncovered hitting bays. A clubhouse with two bars and Casey’s Café fill out this excellent social and community hot spot.
While Avenir has many opportunities for play, it does not forget the importance of vital infrastructure. Avenir Town Center brings necessities to the area. Fire Station 6 has already been serving the community, and other city services are currently being constructed, as well as Health Park. This healthcare campus is composed of an innovative micro-hospital and two medical office buildings. Jupiter Medical Center and Sina Companies have come together to provide 29 inpatient beds, emergency services and outpatient services to the people of Avenir and beyond.
Avenir Town Center is poised to become a favorite gathering place this summer with an array of shops and restaurants opening and space to build more businesses in the future. Furthering the idea of Avenir being a golf cart and walkable community, all the retail-
ers are just a short golf cart ride away. Conscious planning of green spaces and curation of great dining establishments creates the perfect format to meet neighbors and build lasting friendships.
For young families, Somerset Academy Avenir, a K-5 charter school under the Somerset Academy network, opened in August 2025. Students and parents alike are delighted with the support and commitment demonstrated by Principal Rebecca Pavich and her devoted teachers.
Avenir was able to accomplish this level of expansion and innovation while keeping the environment and Florida’s native ecosystem in mind. More than 50 percent of the land that was once the Vavrus cattle ranch is now the Avenir Conservation Area. This land has been restored with native flora with the help of EW Consultants, a natural resource management firm. The preserve reconnects separated areas around the Loxahatchee Slough and allows families to experience the wonders of the outdoors with more than 10 miles of public trails.
Avenir is entering its most thrilling season yet, but with plenty of more room to grow and residents continuing to arrive, the future promises more excitement to come.

Past the gates of Somerset Academy Avenir, colorful bikes and scooters are lined up at the bike rack. A sprawling green athletic field, complimented by a playground borders a picturesque pond with a fountain. Inside, teachers wait to greet students as they settle into classrooms outfitted with stateof-the-art equipment.
Somerset Academy Avenir opened its doors this past August. This new K-5 charter school operates within the Somerset Academy network of national and international charter schools. It adheres to state standards and assessments, as all charter schools do, and is further accredited by Cognia, a nonprofit evaluator of educational institutions. Students are currently admitted on a rolling basis, but if seats become limited, there could be a lottery.
While all Somerset Academy locations share these traits, this doesn’t mean every school is an exact replica. Individual schools are designed to meet the needs of each unique community.
“All of the Somerset Academy schools are under the same umbrella, but we’re all community-based schools, so what we put into our charters is really based on meeting the community’s
needs,” Founding Principal Rebecca Pavich explained.
Pavich was the vice principal of Somerset Academy Boca, a STEM-focused K-8 school, before opening the new school just off Northlake Blvd. on Avenir Drive in the fast-growing Avenir community.
The success of Somerset Boca is what awarded Somerset Academy a Charter Management Organization (CMO) grant to build Somerset Avenir. This competitive grant allows highquality charter schools, selected by the U.S. Department of Education, to replicate the success of proven schools.
Continuing the success of Somerset means incorporating technology and hands-on learning. It also means listening to the needs of nearby residents. For Pavich, this started even before the building was complete. She met families and went to community events.
“We really partner strongly with the families in the community to make this school what they want for their children,” said Pavich, who has an open-door policy for feedback and encourages parents to do 30 hours of community service.
Families are eager to join the school community and have already come to-

gether to form the Somerset Involved Parents, affectionately known as SIPs.
Somerset isn’t just listening to parents; it’s also getting to know the students. Walking with Pavich around the school, she seemed to know every student by name. With a cap of 600 children, Somerset Avenir has time and space for each student.
“The best part, to me, about Somerset is we just have a beautiful balance between public school, tuition-free education in what, I would say, is the feel of a private school setting,” Pavich said.

Students can discover how to love learning in classes of 22 to 26 children with time for special classes in art, music and STEM, an additional science class that rotates topics. The goal is to provide the foundation for students to become lifelong, globally centered learners.
“A lot of times, for the little ones, that’s just active learning, being excited about learning — being excited about being here. And mastery: Do they feel like it’s something they can master without getting frustrated?” Pavich explained.
“The best part, to me, about Somerset is we just have a beautiful balance between public school, tuition-free education in what, I would say, is the feel of a private school setting.”
— Principal Rebecca Pavich

The core of Somerset Avenir is collaboration, whether that is among the teachers themselves, administratively with parents, in the classroom where students build soft skills to work to-
gether effectively, or with community organizations like The Nest, where students recently went on a field trip to learn about golf and the local ecosystem.
“I feel like that’s what a school is supposed to be — the cornerstone of the community [that] brings everyone together,” Pavich explained.
Somerset and the nearby community of Avenir are in a dynamic relationship. The community’s wants and values are recognized and implemented by the school, and the students, who are shaped by this education, go on to impact their community.
“We really don’t just want to be the cornerstone of the community,” Pavich said. “We’re helping to develop the kids to be genuine parts of that sustainable community.”
Pavich’s excitement for the school’s future is infectious. She believes in Somerset Academy’s vision and hopes the new campus will be recognized for high-performance in the coming years. Most of all, she aims to solidify the bonds of this budding community.
“I want [students] to come back in 20, 30 years and say: ‘My kids go here

now! I was a part of putting that on the wall’ or ‘that bench is from my class.’ That, to me, is making this even more part of the community,” Pavich said. Somerset Academy Avenir is located at 12950 Avenir Drive in Palm Beach Gardens. To learn more, call (561) 4064134 or visit www.somersetavenir.org.

Charm Pop Party, Palm Beach County’s original “charm bar” experience, had a banner year in 2025, catching a trending wave and turning it into a thriving business with locations in Jupiter and Wellington.
“What’s surprised me most is how meaningful this experience has become for families,” said owner Stephanie Lewis, a Westlake resident. “It started as a simple idea while planning my daughter’s birthday. I was just looking for something creative, inclusive and easy, inspired by the Taylor Swift bracelet-making trend. I never imagined it would grow into what it is today.”
Charm Pop Party opened its flag-

ship store in Jupiter in March 2025 and joined the lineup in the Mall at Wellington Green in November.
“The Wellington location has introduced so many new families to what a charm bar actually is: a hands-on jewelry experience where you create something personal and meaningful,” Lewis explained. “Opening on Black Friday was kind of insane in the best possible way, and it really set the tone for how warmly the community embraced us from day one. Being in the mall has been especially fun because people are genuinely surprised and excited to see a woman-owned, non-franchise small business here.”
Charm Pop Party is an interactive
jewelry experience where guests build their own charm bracelets and necklaces from hundreds of curated, themed charms. The stores specialize in walkin charm building, as well as in-store charm parties.
“My vision for Wellington was to create the place all the girls want to be — somewhere they can hang out with friends, make jewelry, feel safe and express themselves through unique charms while just genuinely having fun,” Lewis said. “We’ve also loved offering permanent jewelry here, especially because it has become such a sweet mother-daughter bonding experience. Being able to welcome walk-ins at any time makes the space

feel approachable and easy, and seeing those moments happen in real time has been incredibly special. Watching moms, daughters, teens and even grandmothers create together is a powerful reminder of why we started.”
The Jupiter store offers the same services, but with a slightly different feel.
“Our Jupiter location is more intimate and boutique — perfect for one-on-one visits and smaller gatherings — while the Wellington location is brighter and more energetic, designed for discovery, celebrations and larger groups,” Lewis explained. “Both locations offer custom charm jewelry and permanent jewelry, and we love that guests can walk in anytime without needing an appointment.”
While charm selections vary slightly between locations, Charm Pop Party carries its staple charms and chains at both.
“Wellington has been especially fun because we introduced Italian charm bracelets — some may remember them as ‘nomination bracelets’ — and as an elder millennial, I’m thrilled they’re cool again,” Lewis said. “In addition to custom experiences, we also offer readymade jewelry and unique gift items you won’t find in traditional box stores.”
Charm Pop Party also offers mobile charm parties, which bring the charm bar experience to homes, schools and more for birthdays, fundraisers and community events.
“Our mobile charm parties are designed to be fun, relaxed and easy to host — for all ages,” Lewis said. “While they’re popular for kids’ birthdays, they’re just as loved for teen celebrations, bridal showers, bachelorettes, baby showers, and social or corporate events.”
The mobile parties bring the full charm bar experience to you.

“Our trained staff handles the jewelry assembly while guests choose charms and design pieces that reflect their personality or milestone. It becomes both the activity and the party favor, which hosts really appreciate,” Lewis said. “For groups who want a more hands-on experience, we also offer a workshop-style option. Booking is simple through our web site or directly with us, and each event is customized to fit the group, vibe and occasion.”
The company also partners with schools, PTOs, sports teams and nonprofits to host percentage nights, where a portion of sales is donated back to the organization. Lewis added that the company has been named a finalist for the 2026 Best of Palm Beach County Awards in two categories: Best Jewelry and Best Birthday Venue.
Lewis loves living in Westlake with her husband Brennen and their children McKenna and Declan.
“Westlake felt like home almost immediately,” she said. “With my husband being in law enforcement, it was important to us to live in a community that truly supports first responders. It was also really important that our kids could grow up in a safe neighborhood where they could play outside, make friends they would grow up with and have neighbors who genuinely feel like family.”
Since they arrived, several family members and friends have moved to Westlake as well.
“Westlake is growing quickly, and while that kind of growth can feel a little overwhelming at times, it has also been really beautiful to witness,” Lewis said. “There are so many families here, and it truly feels like you never see a stranger — whether you’re out for an evening walk, at the parks or at community events. I’m excited to see Westlake continue to grow in a way

that keeps that sense of connection.”
Lewis noted that her husband is a deputy with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, and their family has deep roots in the community, as the fourth-generation owners of the Okeechobee Steakhouse.
“Working behind the scenes in operations alongside my in-laws gave me a deeper appreciation for what it takes to build a business that becomes part of a community, like the Okeechobee Steakhouse,” she said. “That experience really shaped what I value most: exceptional service, genuine connection and creating experiences people remember long after they leave.”
Meanwhile, if you’re celebrating a birthday, be sure to stop by one of the two Charm Pop Party locations.
“In a fun, full-circle moment, while my family’s legacy is known for offering a free birthday steak, we now carry that spirit of celebration forward at Charm Pop Party with a free birthday bracelet,” Lewis said. “Everything we do is built around connection, joy and creating meaningful memories for families.”
Charm Pop Party’s Wellington location is in the Mall at Wellington Green on the lower level next to Aéropostale. The Jupiter location is at 129 Center Street, Suite 2, inside The Good Stuff. Learn more at www.charmpopparty.com.

Luxury real estate is not simply about acquiring property. It is about curation, discretion and alignment with lifestyle. For today’s discerning buyer and seller, the value of a brokerage lies not in volume or visibility, but in its ability to deliver clarity, strategy and confidence at every stage of the process. Coffee Cake And Real Estate founders Mark J. Whitehead and Brie A. Segota, Avenir residents, created the firm with precisely this understanding.
The firm is designed for those who expect more — more insight, more personalization and more sophistication throughout the buying and sell-
ing journey. Rooted in innovation and elevated by experience, Coffee Cake And Real Estate offers a modern alternative to traditional brokerage models — one that prioritizes relationships over transactions and outcomes over promises.
“We are a modern luxury brokerage built for today’s market,” explained Whitehead, the co-founder and broker.
The name reflects this philosophy. Conversations begin comfortably, without pressure, and unfold thoughtfully. Yet behind the warmth lies a highly strategic, results-driven luxury real estate operation, built to serve clients

navigating competitive and complex markets.
The real estate landscape has evolved. Buyers are more informed. Markets move faster. Traditional sales tactics often fall short. Coffee Cake And Real Estate addresses these realities through a concierge-level approach that blends data-driven strategy with deeply personalized service.
Every client engagement begins with listening — understanding lifestyle, timing, financial goals and longterm vision. From there, strategies are crafted rather than generic solutions
applied. Whether acquiring a waterfront estate, a discreet second residence or an investment-grade asset, clients are guided through a seamless, intelligent process designed to protect both value and privacy.
The firm’s strength lies in its ability to combine local market mastery with global reach. Through international networks, off-market access and a deep understanding of luxury buyer behavior, Coffee Cake And Real Estate positions clients to act decisively, resulting in exceptional outcomes.
“We offer strategic leadership that delivers results,” explained Segota, the co-founder and CEO.
Leadership Defined by Strategy —
At the core of the firm is a leadership partnership that balances analytical rigor with refined intuition.
Whitehead brings an uncommon depth of experience to the luxury real estate space. His background spans international business, property ownership and large-scale real estate operations, including the founding and expansion of Surf and Country Real Estate on Australia’s Gold Coast, where his firm consistently closed high-volume luxury transactions.
With more than 22 years in U.S. real estate, a former world-ranked equestrian and a strong command of equestrian properties, Whitehead offers clients an exceptional understanding of land, construction realities, true building costs, pricing strategy and market leverage.
Before real estate, Whitehead spent more than a decade as a professional tennis player on the ATP Tour (197788), competing globally — an experience that continues to define his disciplined, focused and relentlessly strategic approach today. His reputation is built on truth and full disclosure. Clients receive fact-based assessments, verifiable data and actionable strategies that eliminate guesswork and emotional decision-making — particularly critical in high-stakes luxury transactions.
Complementing this precision is the vision of Segota, whose globally informed perspective shapes the firm’s elevated client experience. A former world-ranked WTA Tour tennis profes-

sional, she brings a refined sensibility rooted in international travel, cultural fluency and years of working with clients across borders.
With access to international MLS platforms and a global buyer network, Segota ensures that properties are positioned with exceptional reach and relevance — often before they reach the broader market. Her approach is quietly bespoke, favoring thoughtful guidance over noise, and creating an experience that feels both effortless and highly curated.

“We are a modern luxury brokerage built for today’s market.”

Cooper Bozalis adds fresh perspective and authentic insight into the island’s most desirable streets and lifestyle rhythms.
This collaborative structure allows Coffee Cake And Real Estate to operate not as a collection of individual agents, but as a cohesive advisory group, aligned around the single goal of delivering exceptional outcomes with minimal friction.
Together, Whitehead and Segota define the firm’s balance: strategy and sophistication, performance and polish.
Enhancing the Experience — Supporting this leadership is a carefully selected team aligned with the firm’s values of excellence, discretion and thoughtful service.
Sales associate and marketing manager Mel Segota combines a business education with a Division I tennis background and a refined eye for design. His appreciation for architecture, materials and layout allows clients to see not just what a home is — but what it can become.
Sales associate Alisa Medic brings operational strength and deep knowledge of Indian Creek, Sunny Isles and Bay Harbor. Fluent in English and Russian, she offers confident guidance rooted in local expertise and global awareness.
Sales associate Frederico Goncalves holds advanced degrees in business and international administration and brings the discipline of a scholar-athlete and professional tennis coach. His calm, holistic approach supports thoughtful, well-informed decision-making.

Luxury, Redefined — What truly distinguishes Coffee Cake And Real Estate is its philosophy. Luxury is not defined by price point alone, but by experience. From the first conversation to long after closing, clients are supported with clarity, respect and strategic foresight. Transactions evolve into trusted advisory relationships. It is a firm that understands that affluent clients value time, privacy and confidence. Processes are streamlined. Communication is direct and honest. Every recommendation is intentional.
Coffee Cake And Real Estate does not chase volume. Instead, it cultivates relationships. It evolves with the market and does not promise perfection. Instead, it delivers preparation, strategy and results.
In a world where luxury real estate can feel transactional and impersonal, Coffee Cake And Real Estate offers something rare: a measured, intelligent and welcoming approach that never loses sight of the human element.
So, come for a coffee. Stay for the conversation. And leave with a home chosen with confidence, guided by expertise and aligned perfectly with the way you live.

If you’re searching for a desirable dinner destination with many delectable dishes, then head to Lewis Prime Grill in the Publix plaza at Seminole Pratt Whitney Road and Orange Blvd.
Lewis Prime Grill is as appropriate for a family dinner as it is for a group of business associates or a couple on a romantic date. The menu provides enough variety to satisfy any potential patron. The doors open daily at 4 p.m. for happy hour or those wanting to eat dinner early. The quality and diversity of the menu selections at Lewis Prime Grill — and the 48 whiskey choices on the bar menu — are the main appeals of this standout restaurant.
The quality of the food and the generous portions have positioned the restaurant as one of the finest in the area and one of Palm Beach County’s best restaurant choices for dinner. At Lewis Prime Grill, you’ll never leave hungry, and the price for your highquality meal won’t break the budget.
Lewis Prime Grill is a restaurant with a strong pedigree, as it’s owned by Ralph Lewis, who is a co-owner of West Palm Beach’s historic Okeechobee Steakhouse, which has been in the Lewis family since it first opened in 1947.
According to Lewis, if you have enjoyed past visits to the Okeechobee Steakhouse, you’ll also enjoy eating at Lewis Prime Grill, where the price points are a bit lower, yet the quality of the food remains top notch.
“We have the best happy hour in Loxahatchee, and you eat for free on your birthday,” said Lewis, whose favorite steak is a dry-aged, bone-in ribeye served medium rare. “We provide a
legendary dining experience, which has superior food and exceptional service.”
Conveniently located, the restaurant is in the heart of the Acreage/Loxahatchee area and only two minutes from Westlake, and nine minutes from Avenir and Ibis.
The atmosphere inside Lewis Prime Grill, which opened in November 2022, is cozy, comfortable and very welcoming. When you walk through the front door, you’ll have three seating options — at the U-shaped bar, at one of the tabletops or in one of the many highback booths. The restaurant has a seating capacity of 120.
“We have a family-friendly restaurant, and we pride ourselves on making the dining experience special and memorable,” said Ron Streib, the general manager at Lewis Prime Grill. “Our staff is personable, accommodating, well-versed in our menu and understands the importance of hospitality. Many of our regular customers eat here two or three times a week.”
The menu is filled with many delicious options that include 10 starters, eight premium sides, seven house specialties, four salads, four steaks, four handhelds and six desserts. There’s also a separate menu offering four weekly features, which may include items such as Shepherd’s Pie, Crispy Chicken Burrata, Yellowtail Snapper, the Butcher’s Cut, Black Grouper, Filet Mignon Stroganoff and Short Rib Quesadilla, among others.
It will be a tough decision sticking to the traditional menu when there are such mouth-watering featured dishes, which change every week. I ordered

the Yellowtail Snapper, accompanied by pan-seared, roasted fingerling potatoes, asparagus and a butternut squash puree, accompanied by the broccoli au gratin side dish and finished with the Crème Brûlée dessert. Every bite was better than the previous one.
The two most popular starters are the Bang Bang Shrimp and the Dip Flight. There is enough delicious Bang Bang Shrimp in one order for a quartet of diners to enjoy this tasty seafood appetizer. There’s a three-way tie for the most popular premium sides, with garlic spinach, broccoli au gratin, and the gourmet mac and cheese requested the most by customers.
Of the seven house specialties, the Country Fried Chicken, Linguine Alfredo and the Slow-Braised Short Rib are the most popular choices. After trying

the Country Fried Chicken, you may never order fried chicken from anywhere else. It may well be better than your grandmother’s fried chicken.
The Cobb Salad is the top salad option, but the other three salads — Classic Caesar, House Gorgonzola and Iceberg Wedge — are equally as good and are terrific additions to your dining experience. For each salad, you can add chicken, shrimp or steak as an added protein.
The four signature steak options — the Filet Mignon, Delmonico, Split Bone Cowboy and the Prime RanchCut Sirloin — are terrific cuts of beef. Of those four steaks, the most popular choice is the filet mignon. The four handhelds — the Lewis Prime Burger, Classic Burger, Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwich and Prime Rib French Dip — are tasty and delicious. The Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwich is the most popular handheld option.
Each of the six dessert options are worthy of being labeled as the best on the menu. As good as each dessert item looks on a plate, when each bite hits your taste buds, it will generate a delightful satisfactory smile. The Chocolate Mousse is delicious; the Reese’s Pie appeals to lovers of chocolate and peanut butter; the Key Lime Pie is as good as you’ll find; the New York-Style Cheesecake will get “two-thumbs-up” from the harshest critics; the Crème Brûlée gets better with every bite; and the Triple-Layer Chocolate Cake is a perfect choice for chocolate lovers and big enough to share.

Lewis Prime Grill also offers a kids’ menu featuring three entrees — a burger, chicken fingers and mac-andcheese. For dessert, there’s a weekly ice cream feature.
While Lewis Prime Grill prides itself on the 48 types of whiskey that it serves, other popular alcoholic beverages are a variety of wines and the signature, hand-crafted cocktails.
While the majority of white and red wines come from California, there are also wines from Argentina, Australia, France, Germany, Italy, New Zealand and Spain. Besides California, other U.S. wines on the list come from Oregon.
The most popular hand-crafted cocktails are the Blackberry Smash and the Classic Old Fashioned.
“We sell three times more Blackberry Smash cocktails than any other drink. We also sell a number of Classic Old Fashioneds,” said Layden Pruitt, Ralph Lewis’ grandson, who works on marketing for Lewis Prime Grill and doubles as a waiter at the restaurant. “Out here, we market to a younger crowd.”
After a great meal, when customers walk out the door, everybody leaves happy, nobody leaves hungry and there are always plans made for another visit to Lewis Prime Grill.
Lewis Prime Grill is located at 7040 Seminole Pratt Whitney Road, Suite 31, at the corner of Seminole Pratt and Orange Blvd. in the Publix plaza. For more information, call (561) 619-5115 or visit www.lewisprimegrill.com.

Padel, one of the world’s fastest-growing sports, is surging in popularity, and recently got a dedicated location in nearby Westlake.
The brand-new XCEL Padel facility in Westlake opened for play in September at 17035 Persimmon Blvd. in the James Business Park. Another XCEL Padel location opened in December at 101 Sansbury Way near the South Florida Fairgrounds.
The brainchild behind this expansion of padel in Palm Beach County is Marcos del Pilar, considered by many to be the “Godfather of Padel in the USA.” He is an award-winning global padel consultant, speaker and master teaching professional.
If you are unaware of padel’s roots, it’s a sport that started in 1969 when Mexican businessman Enrique Corcuera, an avid tennis fan, started playing this new sport.
According to del Pilar, during one of Corcuera’s trips to the United States, he had tried “paddle-tennis,” a game inspired by tennis, but it was played on a smaller court, with a lower net, and the racquet was replaced with a paddle.
From there, the sport of padel evolved and started to be played across Latin America and Spain, which is del Pilar’s original homeland. Nowadays, padel is played worldwide in more than 90 countries with more than 30 million players.
“Without a doubt, it is the fastest growing sport in the world,” del Pilar said.
According to del Pilar, the United States is quickly becoming the largest market in the world for padel. And, with 22 indoor Padel courts at the two XCEL Padel locations, Palm Beach County is playing a very relevant role in this accelerated expansion.
“To be able to build the padel industry from scratch is the main reason I moved from Madrid [in Spain] about 10 years ago,” del Pilar said.
The location in Westlake has been generating a large number of daily visitors.
“We are bringing the fastest-growing sport in the world to Westlake, and we are doing it by building one of the largest indoor facilities in America. This is a big deal, that every neighbor

should know and celebrate,” del Pilar said.
According to del Pilar, the arrival of padel in a 46,000-square-foot facility in Westlake has been transformational for the sport and its participants.
“We are bringing a new lifestyle to Westlake, and we will make a huge impact in the community for the years to come,” del Pilar added. “We have 10 indoor padel courts with high ceilings, with a signature restaurant, a VIP lounge, a boutique pro shop and multipurpose space for wellness activities. The space is absolutely stunning.”
The West Palm Beach location is just as appealing with 66,000 square feet; 12 indoor courts; a fitness center; a wellness zone with a steam room, sauna and a cool plunge; a boutique pro shop; and a VIP lounge with food and beverage.
With the presence of padel at these two Palm Beach County locations, del Pilar feels that Palm Beach County will be the No. 1 location for padel throughout south and central Florida.
“With around 250 courts total in Florida, our two facilities with 22 total

coming a very significant player in this expansion.”
According to del Pilar, he is convinced that people in Palm Beach County will flock to his two padel facilities
courts are capturing around 10 percent of the total marketplace in Florida, becoming the undisputed leader by far in the central Florida region,” del Pilar said. “We are making a true bet for this market, and doing it in the best and most ambitious way possible. We created a very innovative concept, looking for high-end demographics avid to engage with the sport, and looking for an exceptional customer experience. We position ourselves in excellence while making the sport accessible to everyone.”
Del Pilar is also bullish on padel’s future across the United States.
“The area is pretty new for the sport, but we have some interesting metrics
that can give you some background,” he said. “There are around 150,000 padel players in America, with expectations to get somewhere in between 10 to 12 million players by the end of the decade. America has around 600 courts so far, and XCEL Padel is be-

“The concept is innovative and disruptive, creating the right environment for this exclusive, high-ticket and moneyed audience to feel a very strong feeling of belonging that will drive retention, engagement, revenue and high returns,” del Pilar said.
