God gave me my “Covid-19/Stay at Home” passage of Scripture. The Apostle Paul expresses my desire for what I am feeling during the time of forced separation from most of those I deeply care about. If you are like me, one of the greatest empty spots in my life is not being able to worship up close and personal with our First Southern church family. I miss not seeing many of you around our church campus throughout the week. I miss not getting to drop by your homes occasionally. In the Apostle Paul’s words: “I long to see you.” Praise God — that day will come. Hopefully sooner than later. But we do get to worship together even in the midst of the storm. Thanks to today’s technology, we are able to worship together online. I know many of you are taking advantage of that. We are now livestreaming our worship service at our regular Sunday morning worship time weekly — 10:30 a.m. Mountain Time. (You will find directions in this edition of CONNECTIONS on how to join us). Let me encourage you to let your families, neighbors, friends, Facebook friends, co-workers and anyone else you happen to come into contact with — so that they can worship with us as well.

Kind of reminds me of Palm Sunday. How did so many people know to show up when Jesus entered into the city of Jerusalem that Sunday morning? Simple — people who knew that Jesus was due to show up — told others — who told friends they knew — and on and on.
