“The wisdom of the prudent is to give thought to their ways…” ~ Proverbs 14:8 (NIV) ~ 24 is an American action drama television series in which Kiefer Sutherland starred as counter-terrorist agent Jack Bauer. Each season, comprising 24 episodes, covers 24 hours in Bauer's life using the real time method of narration. The series premiered in November 2001 and spanned 192 episodes over eight seasons. The series finale broadcast on May 24, 2010. At the conclusion of its eighth season, 24 became the longest-running U.S. espionage or counterterrorism-themed television drama, surpassing both Mission: Impossible and The Avengers. The series begins with Bauer working for the Los Angeles-based Counter Terrorist Unit, in which he is a highly proficient agent. A typical plot has Bauer racing against the clock as he attempts to thwart multiple terrorist plots threatening to destroy the United States — or even the world — within that 24-hour timeframe.

8:30 PM - 2:30 PM

You and I don’t find ourselves in a Jack Bauer type of situation — or do we? You see, there’s a sense in which we do — 24 hours a day, every day of our lives. Every episode (day) was about Bauer making a life or death decision that could change “the world as we know it.” Friends, the very same thing can be said about each one of us. Every day you make decisions — deceptively small decisions — that change the course of eternity. And every day you make decisions — seemingly routine choices — that alter the future of the people in your life. When you take the time to share Christ’s love with someone — or when you fail to do so — this choice affects eternity. When you make the routine decision to work late and miss a kids’ ball game, this decision communicates to the child that he or she is not as important as other things in life, that they aren’t as worthy of your attention as a budget or a building or a board meeting. When you speak to a friend or co-worker words of encouragement, or words of discouragement, you influence how they will perceive themselves and how they will react to others around them.
