June 23, 2019 Just to say a BIG thank you for everything! Many Pastors know how hard it is to manage a church, but a select few know what it takes to start from square one. This is but a token of thanks from Set Free Church, Paulden for your generous support and partnership.” ~ Pastor Art Hisey

“Dear Marty and Ladies, The Tea was one of the most delightful events I have attended …. You are an amazing group — as I spoke I could see the love and concern in the faces of those present. It was so rewarding to share the mission of Kairos Outside. Thank you for the Love Offering—it was completely unexpected. Also, thanks to men in the kitchen! Thanks for making an eternal difference. I will remember First Southern Baptist Church of PV in my prayers.” ~ Joanne

MISSION: DIGNITY What’s that about you might be wondering? In simple terms — it’s about treating those who have served us well with dignity in the latter part of their lives. The sad truth, unfortunately, is that we have not done such a good job of that. Even though the Southern Baptist Convention — with over 42,000 churches — is the largest evangelical denomination in the world, too many of our retired pastors and their wives enter retirement woefully underfunded. Understanding that we are a denomination made up of independent churches, it is easy to see why this is true. We have no mechanism to ensure that our pastors have their retirement funded, as this is a local church issue. Since 1918, GuideStone Financial Resources — a Southern Baptist agency — has been on a “Mission” to provide “Dignity” to retired Southern Baptist ministers, workers and their widows. These are men and women who have faithfully served God’s people and now find themselves struggling to meet even basic needs. Many served small, rural churches that paid only modest salaries and couldn’t afford to contribute to their pastors’ retirement. Often, these loyal soldiers of the cross had to work extra jobs just to make ends meet. Mission:Dignity currently helps almost 1,800 people with extra money needed for housing, food and vital medications. It has also ensured a welldeserved dignity, independence and, often, the ability to continue serving. This Sunday is Mission: Dignity Sunday. We will give you the opportunity to give to this worthy cause. Blessings on your week as you remember, and honor, those who have helped you in your spiritual journey. I hope to see you in worship this Sunday morning. Pastor Terrell

“Please accept our gratitude and deep appreciation for your support of our troops through the Military BibleStick. Your church is a testament to sacrificial giving. Providing our brave men and women in uniform with the gift of God’s Word in audio is a blessing that will bring them peace, comfort and spiritual protection as they put themselves in harm’s way while serving our country. It’s clear that you are making a difference in the lives of our troops and thank to your generosity, many more will now be blessed with their very own BibleStick! Again, thank you for standing with us in partnership to bring the comfort of God’s Word to our military heroes. ~ Your Servant in Christ, Morgan Jackson, Senior Vice President,
