PACK A SHOEBOX! We will be collecting shoeboxes from October 13 to November 17. See Marty Leveron for WOW gifts. She has a limited amount of soccer balls and backpacks that you can purchase and include in your box. Can’t pack a box this year? You can still be a help — you can donate $9 shipping fee per box, and/or, most importantly, you can commit to praying for this ministry and for the salvation of the children who will receive these gifts.

“That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life... And why worry about your clothing?... don’t worry about these things... So don’t worry about tomorrow...” ~ Matthew 6:25, 28, 31,33 (NLT) ~ THE WORRY APP Seth Godin’s April Fool’s Day blogpost was about a new app in development: the Worry app. This handy software program compiles everything the PASTORAL STAFF web knows about you, including the things you don’t even know yourself, Terrell Eldreth, and is able to compute the things you actually should be worrying about. Senior Pastor Seth writes... Scott Terry, Worship Pastor
“Instead of spending time fruitlessly fretting about things that are extremely unlikely to happen, now you can experience failure in advance on issues that are actually more likely to happen. Worry about the right stuff. Your sleepless nights will now be more productive, because you can be sleepless about the right things.”

Relax — it’s a joke — but one worth thinking about: What if an app really could list all the “the right things” to worry about? Which items would make the list?

Believers already have such an app. In the back pages of your Bible, you’ve probably got a concordance listing the keywords of scripture. If there’s an entry for worry, take a quick look at the half-dozen or so verses referenced. You will note that none of them — not even one — has any good thing to say about the worry habit. There is no verse that says, “Therefore I say unto you: Worry. Worry with all your heart. Worry until your stomach hurts. Keep worrying and maybe things will get better on their own.”
