Right now, our middle child, Courtney, is the midst of a battle with Breast Cancer. This past Monday, as she was undergoing her seventh round of chemotherapy, she wrote the following on her Facebook page. Isaiah 40:31 “but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” Without Jesus I wouldn’t have made it this far without growing weary... and my journey is far from over. I’m not the most eloquent writer in the world. I have some friends and my sister who could put feelings into words so much better than I could. But I wanted to take a minute and explain why I chose joy. Especially why I chose joy during this Christmas season! Continued on page 2
