We live in a world in which people have started wondering if it's worth getting together with other people to study a language. Today, more than ever, deciding to invest time in learning a new language, or choosing a professional path teaching languages, is an act of faith in the benefits of multilingualism and multiculturalism. But this is by no means blind faith, and below we will share why we stand by the same convictions.
We believe in the power of words. Words are extraordinary tools to explain and understand the world, to understand ourselves and others, and we know that having words at our disposal makes us wiser.
We believe in the beauty of language. We believe in the joy of reading or hearing a new language, of getting excited about what that language expresses, of hearing the echoes of the past that resonate through language, and in wondering at the unique and original idiosyncrasy of each one.
We believe in authentic communication. We believe in the powerful messages we convey when we learn and use the language of others.
We know that immersing ourselves in another language gives us a broader perspective of the world, while invigorating our intelligence and reviving our curiosity.
Because, in short, we understand that beginning to understand a new language is a process that provides many riches, both to learners and teachers alike: cultural, social and emotional benefits, as well as cognitive, intimate and personal value.
This catalogue aims to show just some of those riches: photographs of cultural, natural and intangible World Heritage that reflect some of the treasures around the globe that are expressed in Spanish.
The reasons for learning and teaching a language seem obvious to us, as do the “how” and “with whom”: in classes, face-to-face or remotely, but always led by teachers; following teaching plans and curriculums designed by experts, and not random sequences decided by algorithms. In other words, language learning should be an eminently social—and an essentially human—learning experience.
With all this in mind, we can only restate our goal to continue investing in learning and teaching languages, with the same passion as always. Because it's worth it

Santiago de Cuba Fundada en 1515 y capital de Cuba hasta 1556, es la segunda ciudad más importante del país, después de La Habana, la capital actual. Está situada en el sureste de la isla y tiene casi medio millón de habitantes. Santiago de Cuba tiene importantes construcciones de interés turístico e histórico, como el castillo de San Pedro de la Roca, la primera catedral de Cuba o los restos de las primeras plantaciones de café, en el sureste de la isla. Además, en la ciudad hay muchos edificios de arquitectura colonial.
Santiago de Compostela Tiene una población de aproximadamente 97 000 habitantes y más de diez siglos de historia. Esta ciudad, situada en el noroeste de la península ibérica, es la capital de Galicia, una de las comunidades autónomas de España. El casco antiguo es Patrimonio de la Humanidad desde 1985. Tiene muchos monumentos y edificios históricos, además de la Universidad de Santiago de Compostela, una de las más antiguas del mundo. Miles de peregrinos procedentes de todas partes del mundo visitan cada año la ciudad, punto final del famoso Camino de Santiago.

Más que comer
Ir al cine, hacer deporte o ver la tele son algunas de las actividades favoritas de los españoles y las españolas en su tiempo libre. Pero, para la mayoría, hay otra muy importante: salir a comer.
No se trata solo de la comida, sino también del aspecto social. Por eso las comidas son muy largas, con tiempo para charlar, contar anécdotas o conocer quizás a otros invitados. Y hablar de comida. “La mejor paella es la que hace mi madre”, “¿No comes carne?”, “¿Conoces un buen restaurante mexicano?” son frases que fácilmente podemos escuchar durante las comidas. ¡Hola! Me llamo Matilde y soy chilena. ¿Conoces Chile? ¿Quizás los vinos chilenos? Voy a contarte un poco de mi “largo y delgado país” (Pablo Neruda).
En sus 4200 km de longitud, Chile ofrece paisajes que recuerdan lugares tan diferentes como el Sáhara, el Mediterráneo o Noruega. En el norte, por ejemplo, tenemos el desierto de Atacama, el más seco del mundo. En el otro extremo, en la Patagonia chilena, fiordos y glaciares. Allí se pueden encontrar colonias de pingüinos todo el año. Uno de los lugares más fascinantes del mundo es la Isla de Pascua, con sus misteriosas esculturas milenarias, los moáis.
En la capital, Santiago, se puede disfrutar de sus museos y galerías de arte. El centro histórico, la Plaza de Armas, es el punto de encuentro de los turistas y de los habitantes de la ciudad. Es muy recomendable visitar el barrio Bellavista, donde se encuentra la Fundación Pablo Neruda, en la antigua casa del poeta. Este barrio tiene una intensa vida nocturna y excelentes restaurantes. Valparaíso es considerada por mucha gente la capital cultural de Chile. ¿Sabes que el periódico más antiguo en español es El Mercurio de Valparaíso? Es la mayor ciudad de habla hispana del mundo y un centro cultural, educativo y económico de enorme importancia.
Ushuaia: la ciudad del fin del mundo Ushuaia es la ciudad que está más al Sur del planeta. Se encuentra en la Isla Grande de Tierra del Fuego y su nombre, en lengua yámana, significa bahía que mira al Oeste Su clima es frío, con una temperatura media anual de 5,7° . Las mejores estaciones para visitar Ushuaia y sus alrededo-
res son la primavera y el verano. De septiembre a marzo se pueden realizar muchas actividades deportivas y turísticas, como paseos a pie, a caballo o en bicicleta, o excursiones para observar aves. Además, en el Parque Nacional Tierra del Fuego, a 11 km al oeste de la ciudad, se puede practicar la pesca deportiva. También se pueden hacer interesantes excursiones en barco: por el Canal de Beagle, a la Isla de los Pájaros, a la Isla de los Lobos o al faro Les Éclaireurs. Potosí: una ciudad en el techo del mundo Potosí es la segunda ciudad más alta del mundo: está a 4000 metros sobre el nivel del mar en la Cordillera de los Andes. En la historia de esta ciudad boliviana son muy importantes las minas de plata. Por eso en español la palabra potosí es sinónimo de “riqueza extraordinaria”
