The Great Forest Park Balloon Race is an annual hot air balloon festival held in Forest Park. With over 70 entrants and 130,000 spectators, it is the most well-attended single-day hot air balloon race in the United States.

AMEREN’S THANKS FOR GIVING PARADE

June is now officially recognized as LGBTQ+ Pride Month, and since the first PrideFest in 1981, St. Louis’ event has grown in size, attendance, and scope. A Pride Festival is hugely vital for the community because it makes people proud of who they are.
The event brings fun activities such as ice skating, s’mores stations, and igloos underneath 100,000 twinkling lights in the shadow of the Gateway Arch. This six-week winter celebration has also showcased exciting events like St. Louis Blues’ try hockey free, visits from princesses and superheroes, and a family-friendly New Year’s Eve fireworks spectacular.
St. Louis CITY SC’s ownership is entirely local, anchored by the Taylor family of Enterprise Holdings and the Kavanaugh family of World Wide Technology, both profoundly ingrained in St. Louis business, philanthropy, and soccer. E stablished during the 1967–68 season as part of the NHL’s expansion from the “Original Six” franchises, the Blues quickly made a mark in their inaugural season. Under the guidance of first-time head coach Scotty Bowman, the Blues navigated their way to the Stanley Cup finals, showcasing their prowess on the ice. The St. Louis Cardinals, originally founded as the St. Louis Brown Stockings in 1882, boast a rich and storied history in baseball. After several name changes, including a stint as the Perfectos, the team officially became the St. Louis Cardinals in 1900. The St. Louis Battlehawks represent St. Louis, Missouri, in the United Football League (UFL) as a founding member of the XFL Conference. Established by Vince McMahon’s Alpha Entertainment and now owned by Dwayne Johnson’s Alpha Acquico and Fox Corporation, the team plays their home games at The Dome at America’s Center. With a franchise regular season record of 10–5 (.667), ranking third in win percentage among UFL teams as of the 2024 season, the Battlehawks have demonstrated a competitive edge on the field. St. Louis was announced as one of eight cities joining the reformed XFL in 2018, alongside Seattle, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, DC, Tampa Bay, and Dallas.
