Daniela Fernández López, born in Montevideo in 1989, is an architect working at the intersection of landscape, urbanism, and social justice. She earned her architecture degree from the University of the Republic (FADU-Udelar) in 2018, receiving the National Planning Award. In 2024, she completed a Master of Science in Design and Urban Ecologies at Parsons School of Design, supported by the Fulbright Program. Her practice focuses on community engagement, ecological awareness, and activism through design. She uses participatory processes to foster care, cooperation, and coexistence among humans, other species, and territories. With a background in academia and urban research, Daniela seeks to challenge injustices and promote sustainable, inclusive urban environments. Her multidisciplinary approach emphasizes bottom-up strategies, collective narratives, and community-led initiatives to foster discussions on urban futures and ecological justice.
