GETTING STARTED


REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
ESSAY
Your essay will follow a particular prompt specific to the scholarship you are applying to. Most will have a recommended word count. It is important that you have a well-written essay.
Please do not put your name on your essay!
We strongly encourage you to take advantage of Essay Review Service that is available until November 15.
ACTIVITIES RESUME REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
Your Activities Resume will list all of the activities you've been involved in during high school, both in and out of school. This includes sports, clubs, community service, leadership roles, honors, awards, jobs, and work experience you may have.
Please do not put your name on your Activities Resume!
FAFSA SUBMISSION SUMMARY REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
Your FAFSA Submission Summary contains information about your Federal Student Aid eligibility, your FAFSA form answers, school information, and next steps needed to ensure completion of your FAFSA form. The FAFSA Submission Summary is made available to you at StudentAid.gov after you have completed and signed your FAFSA form.
FINANCIAL AID OFFER REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
Your Financial Aid Award Offer is a list of all loans, scholarships, and grants being offered to you by your college or university. Your Financial Aid Award Offer can be found in your student account for your college/university. For example, the account associated with your admitted student email molly@ncsu.edu.
LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
A Letter of Recommendation is a letter written by an adult, who is not a family member, that endorses you as a student based on your character, academic performance, interests, etc. Many letters are written by teachers, mentors, work supervisors, coaches, and school counselors.
ACCEPTANCE LETTER REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
Your Acceptance Letter is a letter notifying you of your acceptance to a particular college or university. This letter is mailed to your home address, emailed to you, or made available inside your college/university student account. You can also check with the Admissions Office of your college/university to request an additional copy.

To start an application, click on the title of the scholarship

Create your Submittable username + password.
Complete your application + submit!
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I SUBMIT MY APPLICATION?
Submitted applications will be reviewed by staff for accuracy and completeness.
Applications are evaluated by a Crosby Scholars Scholarship Selection Committee.
Selections are made and recipients and non-recipients are notified.
