The people – It seems like Colorado has so many blue ski days that the people here are happy, fun and exciting to be around. I have really been blessed with fabulous clients and friends. How long have you worked in Real Estate? I got my real estate license in 2003 as a hobby because I have always enjoyed real estate and architecture. When I was 16 and got my driver’s license, I would go to open houses for fun. That turned into a full time career and I’m still going to open houses for fun! Knowing when to stop working – I could work, work, and completely forget about time. What do you most enjoy doing when you’re not working? I enjoy travelling with my family. My favorite places usually have a sandy beach & beautiful water. What is one tip you have for someone looking to sell a house? My sellers get about 10 to 20% over current market value. The key is to go on the market strong. This means uncluttered, staged and clean. Going on the market prepared and putting your best foot forward gets sellers TOP DOLLAR. What is one tip you have for someone looking to buy a house? Take advantage of the low interest rates and still very low prices because we are at the threshold of an increase in market prices. This is the perfect time to move up. Homes under $400,000 are increasing but the homes with prices over $500,000 haven’t increased too much. Savvy buyers can take advantage of the shifting market at its threshold. What is the most unusual thing you’ve encountered while working in Real Estate? Oddly, I locked myself inside a home I was previewing. I was forced to exit through the back door and ended up climbing a 6-foot privacy fence in heels and a suit because the fence had no gate! I am sure the neighbors thought I was crazy as I jumped over the fence in a snowdrift.
