CHAMBER AMBASSADORS
The Connection to a Thriving Member Experience
The Golden Chamber Ambassadors play a vital role in connecting members and enhancing the overall experience within our local business community.
By volunteering their time, they help ensure that all members maximize the value of their investments. Ambassadors welcome new members, support retention efforts, and actively recruit new members, making them integral to our community’s business activities.
Joining the Golden Chamber Ambassadors means becoming one of the most engaged members in our network. It’s a fantastic opportunity to meet new people, strengthen
relationships, and tap into a wealth of resources.
Ambassadors represent the Chamber at key events such as Ribbon Cuttings, Grand Openings, member networking gatherings, and our monthly V.I.B.E.@Five event. They serve as the face of the Golden Chamber of Commerce, and champions of our mission.
Meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month from 7:30-8:30 AM at the Golden Welcome Center community boardroom. If you are a Chamber member, we invite you to join us in making a meaningful impact in our community while having fun and building valuable connections!
The Golden community relies on hundreds of volunteers to help with our beautification, recycling, library, public safety, and many other important facets. In particular, the Golden Chamber of Commerce is thankful for its large core of volunteers who help run our events and connect our businesses to community throughout the year.
Why Volunteer?
We are always looking for more people to get involved—especially with our community events like the Golden Farmers Market and the Golden Fine Arts Festival. Please reach out to our Events Manager at jodi@goldenchamber.org to raise your hand and say “yes! I want to help Golden thrive through volunteering!”

WHAT STEPS CAN YOU TAKE TODAY TO THRIVE IN 2025?
Be Kind:
“Giving and receiving kindness are easy ways to feel good and to help others feel good too. People, organizations, and societies thrive when they are grounded in a culture of kindness.” – Vivek Murthy
Be Innovative:
“The only way to thrive is to innovate. It’s that simple.” – Alex Tabarrok
Be Confident:
“When you find your niche, you just gotta continue to be confident and thrive in it.” – D’Angelo Russell
In every community, there are 5 Key Pillars of Thriving. Here in Golden, these pillars are strong:
Education and Lifelong Learning
From early childhood to adult education, ensuring continuous personal and professional development is important. Here in Golden and nearby, we have neighborhood schools, daycare centers, head start programs, career and technical education programs, trade programs, apprenticeships, Red Rocks Community College, Colorado School of Mines, and more. All have a role to play in a thriving community.
Economic Development and Employment From supporting local businesses to entrepreneurship opportunities to workforce development; Golden has so much to offer our businesses. Whether those businesses are just starting out or have been here in Golden for generations, the Chamber is here to help our businesses thrive. But in addition to the Chamber, there are many wonderful organizations and associations that all collaborate and work together to create a network of services for our businesses.
Health and Well-being Having access to healthcare services, mental health support, and recreational spaces are all important to building a thriving community. Golden is fortunate to have two large hospital systems nearby, a network of mental health professionals, and sought after recreational spaces for all to enjoy, right in our own backyard.
Be Tenacious:
Be Adaptable:
Thriving can mean taking simple steps to adjust your perspective, regardless of what is happening around you.
“I thrive on obstacles. If I’m told that it can’t be done, then I push harder.” – Issa Rae
“To survive and even thrive in a changing world, nature offers another great lesson: the survivors are those who at the least adapt to change, or even better learn to benefit from change and grow intellectually and personally. That means careful listening and constant learning.” – Frances Arnold
Community Engagement and Leadership A thriving community encourages civic participation, volunteerism, and has strong local leadership. Golden is a town that shows up for one another. We have residents and businesses that are passionate about seeing Golden thrive and that passion is evident in many ways.
Sustainable Infrastructure and Environment
Having green spaces, access to transportation, and ensuring sustainable urban planning, these are all areas that our City government works hard to maintain. These key elements help create a thriving and accessible community for all.
There is no single solution to thriving as an individual and there is no single solution to building a thriving community. It takes a strong alignment between the residents, the business community, City and County governments, local non profits, and all community organizations to bring about a thriving community for all. Working alone we can’t build a thriving community, but together, through small daily actions, we can create a community where kindness thrives, where businesses flourish, and where basic needs are met.

GOLDEN SCHOOLS THRIVE IN 2025!
The entire Golden community is extremely supportive of its schools in a variety of ways, including volunteering, financial support, business liaisons, and hometown spirit. Each school has a unique personality and special programs to fulfill needs across the town. Green School Initiatives also give Golden unique teaching vehicles, including a solar-powered greenhouse at Golden High School. At Kyffin Elementary, they offer the award-winning ELF (Environmental Learning for the Future) Science Program. The annual GHS Homecoming Parade is attended by people of all ages from the community to celebrate Golden pride along Washington Avenue. The community support and hard work on the part of educators adds up to high numbers for our students, including a 78% graduation rate (compared with 70% in Jeffco) and higher than average SAT scores.
Thriving at Bell Middle School means we are a community of students, staff, and families focused on creating a place of caring, belonging, and high expectations for every child.

COLORADANS TAKE CARE OF EACH OTHER
We loved Colorado before Colorado was even a state. Our water, our employees and our beer are all born in the Rockies. But the thing we love most about Colorado is the community, which is why we’ll always take care of you.
GYP is a subset of the Golden Chamber of Commerce, giving a specific voice to the young business-minded people of our community. Any Golden Chamber member can sponsor employees to join this active, civic-minded, fun group— or you can join yourself as a young businessperson to network and make friends.
GYP stands as a shining testament to the power of local connection and community and it’s an honor for me to serve as your Chair. Our group facilitates opportunities for individuals aged 21-39 in three main arenas: professional development, community impact, and social engagement.
In essence, what we do is get cool people together in a way so that new friendships form, conversations about career progression or business building flow easily, and an understanding of the makeup and needs of our community is formed.
Monthly member meetings happen at the Welcome Center on the third Thursday of each month – if you haven’t been to one, you are invited! It’s a great place to hear from a local influential speaker and learn about the other events and opportunities we have coming up! Whether you’re here to make some new friends at one of our social events, to promote a business that serves our community, to further your leadership skills in a way that can directly translate into a career progression, or to advocate for more housing options that will allow us to live where we work, we encourage you to show up and see what this community is all about!

TOGETHER - WE CAN CREATE CHANGE
At the Golden Chamber of Commerce, we believe in supporting our businesses through advocacy efforts and making sure that the needs of our business community are heard. Our goal is to be a Champion, a Catalyst, and a Convener for business in Golden. Our business advocacy work can be seen on local, countywide, and statewide levels.
LOCAL: BEING A VOICE FOR BUSINESS
The Golden Chamber is focused on the economic and civic interests of the community and serving as a connection between city management, city council, and the business community. We do that by writing letters of support or speaking to City Council on behalf of an issue that affects multiple businesses and by participating in local Golden initiatives, to provide a unique perspective on how local decisions can impact the business community.
COUNTY WIDE: HOUSING, WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT, AND FOOD SECURITY
The Golden Chamber is actively involved in many county-wide initiatives that impact our community’s ability to have a strong and vibrant workforce with access to basic needs. We serve as representatives that advocate for the needs of businesses and residents in Jefferson County and work to be a part of the solution. From affordable housing to food insecurity, from workforce development to public health issues, we make sure to have a seat at the table for important conversations that impact those living and working in Golden.
STATEWIDE: COLORADO CHAMBER OF COMMERCE & COLORADO COMPETITIVE COUNCIL (C3)
The Golden Chamber participates as a member of the Colorado Chamber of Commerce, the Colorado Chamber Alliance, and the Colorado Competitive Council. Through these organizations, we are made aware of and participate in monitoring and weighing in on legislation that can impact Colorado’s business climate.
REGIONAL:
KNOWING THE ISSUES
Additionally, the Golden Chamber of Commerce is a member of the Western Association of Chamber Executives and networks with other Chamber across the western United States to understand issues that impact our entire region.
