Lesson

At the Lacy School of Business (LSB), you won’t just study business— you’ll actually do it. From your very first days on campus, you’ll be immersed in real business settings and collaborate closely with classmates, professors, and industry leaders to tackle challenges and gain real-world experience.
Here’s how we make it happen:
During your sophomore year, you’ll dive into the Real Business Experience—an immersive, hands-on course built on our experiential model. You’ll team up with classmates, pitch an idea, apply for funding, and actually launch and run your own business.
You’ll also be paired with a high-level professional who will guide you, open doors, and support you throughout your time at Butler (and often beyond).
With hands-on experience, connections, and confidence, you won’t just be ready for success—by the time you graduate, you’ll have already achieved it.

“The best part about LSB is the professors. They are an amazing resource for opportunities, jobs, networking, and so much more. For example, my First-Year Business Experience professor was the founder of Lids, and my Excel Applications professor was one of the original founders and developers of AOL Instant Messaging. In addition, as a firstyear student, I have just as many opportunities as a senior from day one—I couldn’t find that anywhere else.”
