Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Temple City will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at 5938 Kauffman Avenue to consider the following: The City Council will consider amendments to the Municipal Code relating to fireworks provisions which will modify and enhance the City’s Municipal Code to sections Chapter 1 (“Fire Code”) of Title 3 (Public Safety”) pertaining to the possession, sale, and discharge of fireworks. The City Council will consider amending sections that will 1) limit the dates and hours of sale of safe and sane fireworks and discharge of fireworks; 2) establish permits for the public display of fireworks and/or special effects; and 3) lay out procedures for violations of said conditions. Any persons interested are invited to attend and present testimony either for or against this item. If you challenge the proposed action in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice or in written correspondence delivered to the City Council at or prior to the public hearing.
