An on-demand, technology driven transportation service that bridges the gap between traditional public transit and ridesharing services.

• Microtransit services are used to provide flexible, dynamic service to many communities including:

SMART MICROTRANSIT

A flexible transportation service that utilizes electric vehicles alongside an integrated app component to provide on-demand mobility. To distinguish SMART microtransit from normal microtransit, we can use the mnemonic of the three E’s:

Freebee’s drivers are a rolling information desk on wheels! They are trained to promote local events, dining, shopping, and things to do throughout Dunedin.

Freebee launched its service in Dunedin in November

2023 with a fixed-route model utilizing two vehicles. In January 2025, the service transitioned to an on-demand model, continuing with two vehicles during the offseason and expanding to three vehicles during the MLB Spring Training season to meet increased demand.

The ‘Ride Freebee’ app is designed to be a complete neighborhood directory for Dunedin, providing FREE profiles to all local business partners in an effort to connect passengers with their community through our mobile platform.
