[→]WELCOME TO PRAGUE!

Whether you’ve just landed by plane, arrived by train, bus, or car, here is the latest practical information (2026) on how to reach the city centre efficiently and without overpaying.

↓ PRAGUE BY PLANE

Václav Havel Airport Prague is located about 17 kilometres northwest of the city centre. After arrival, you will find currency exchange offices as well as ATMs in the terminals, although withdrawing cash is usually the more favourable option.

For assistance, you can contact the airport’s general information line (+420 220 111 888), which operates nonstop, or the Lost and Found service at +420 220 115 005.

↓ HOW TO GET TO THE CITY CENTER

Reaching the centre of Prague takes approximately 25 to 40 minutes by car, depending on traffic, or around 35 to 50 minutes if you use public transport.

↓...BY PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

Public transport remains the most affordable and reliable way to reach the city. Tickets can be purchased easily at vending machines, in kiosks, via the PID Lítačka mobile app, or simply by using a contactless card directly on buses and trams, and at ticket machines in the metro.

The current ticket prices are 30 CZK for a 30-minute transfer ticket and 40 CZK for a 90-minute transfer ticket, both allowing unlimited transfers within the time limit. Longer options include a 24-hour ticket for 120 CZK and a 72-hour ticket for 330 CZK. Luggage is included in the basic fare at no extra charge.

The most common connection from the airport is trolleybus 59, which runs frequently throughout the day (approximately every 3–10 minutes) and takes passengers to Nádraží Veleslavín, where you can transfer to Metro Line A. The journey takes about 15–20 minutes, and from there it is a direct metro ride to the city centre.

Another option is Bus 100, which connects the airport with Zličín on Metro Line B. Although slightly less convenient for reaching the historic centre, it can be useful depending on your destination.

The Airport Express bus provides a direct connection between the airport and the Main Railway Station, with a travel time of around 35 minutes. This service operates on a special fare (around 100–120 CZK) and is mainly intended for passengers transferring to trains.

If you arrive late at night, night bus services operate from the airport and connect to night tram lines, which replace metro services during nighttime hours.

↓...BY TAXI

For those who prefer a more comfortable transfer, taxis and ride-hailing services are readily available at the airport. The official partner service at Václav Havel Airport is Uber, which offers transparent pricing and easy booking via the app or airport kiosks.

Alternatively, services such as Bolt are widely used in Prague. A typical journey to the city centre costs between 400 and 800 CZK, depending on traffic and demand. It is generally recommended to avoid unlicensed taxis and instead use official or app-based services

↓...BY TRAIN

International and domestic trains arrive at Prague Main Railway Station (Praha hlavní nádraží), which is conveniently located close to the city

centre. The station is directly connected to Metro Line C, and Wenceslas Square is only a short walk away.

The station has undergone extensive renovation and now offers modern facilities, including shops, cafés, and fast-food restaurants.

↓...BY BUS

Florenc is Prague’s central bus station and serves both domestic and international routes. It is located near the city centre and is directly connected to Metro Lines B and C. The station has also been modernised and offers clean, well-organised spaces, food options, and clear digital boards displaying departures and arrivals.

↓...BY CAR

Travelling to Prague by car can be challenging due to heavy traffic and limited parking options in the city centre. Street parking is divided into zones, and blue zones are reserved for residents, with strict enforcement.

Visitors are therefore advised to use Park and Ride (P+R) facilities located near major roads and metro stations, allowing easy access to the city centre via public transport.

↓...BY SUBWAY

Prague’s metro system consists of three lines: Line A (green), Line B (yellow), and Line C (red). The network is well designed and provides fast connections to most important locations across the city.

Metro services run daily from approximately 5:00 a.m. until midnight.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Prague’s public transport system is clear, efficient, and reliable, with an extensive network covering the entire city. The fares remain very affordable – 30 CZK for a 30-minute ticket and 40 CZK for a 90-minute ticket.

Tickets can be purchased from vending machines located in all metro stations and at many tram stops (accepting coins and, in most cases, contactless cards), as well as in most tobacco shops and kiosks. You can also buy a mobile (SMS) ticket by sending a text message to 90206. SMS tickets are mainly available for local Czech mobile numbers and may not work reliably for international visitors.

Another convenient option is the PID Lítačka mobile app, which is available for both iOS and Android. It is fully accessible to foreign visitors and allows you to purchase tickets, search for connections, and manage your transport easily without needing SMS or paper tickets. arriving 8

For over 1000 years, Prague has been one of the main political, cultural and economic centres of the Czech lands. Having served as an imperial seat, most notably under Charles IV and later Rudolf II, it also had the status of the Holy Roman Empire capital. The city’s recorded history dates back to around 870, with the foundation of Prague Castle, although evidence shows the area had been inhabited since the Stone Age. The city flourished during the 14th century, under the reign of Charles IV, who, among other deeds, ordered the construction of landmarks such as Charles Bridge and St. Vitus Cathedral, and Charles University, one of the oldest universities in Central Europe. Prague was then one of the most important cities in Europe. Now home to some 1.2 million inhabitants, Prague became the capital of the newly established state of Czechoslovakia in 1918, with the end of World War I and the dissolution of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. In 1992, Prague’s historic centre became a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and is currently one of the world’s most popular tourist destinations.

CHRÁM MATKY BOŽÍ PŘED TÝNEM

PRAGUE 1, STAROMĚSTSKÉ NÁMĚSTÍ

The Church of Our Lady before Týn (Kostel Matky Boží před Týnem) is located in Prague’s Old Town, near Old Town Square. Its construction took place from the mid-14th century to the early decades of the 16th century. It is one of Prague’s most artistically and architecturally significant churches, known for its well-preserved interior. Its western façade, facing the square, is one of Prague’s most iconic landmarks.

PRAŠNÁ BRÁNA

PRAGUE 1, NÁMĚSTÍ REPUBLIKY 5

The Powder Gate (Prašná brána) is a late-Gothic structure and one of the most important monuments of medieval Prague. It was here that the Royal Route began and where one of the main roads from Kutná Hora, where silver from Kutná Hora was transported to the royal treasury, led. The Powder Gate was built in place of the older Gate tower, which formed part of the Old Town fortifications from the time of Václav II‘s reign. The older tower was known as the Mountain Gate. The Powder Gate served both as a ceremonial gateway and a customs collection point.

STAROMĚSTSKÝ ORLOJ

The Old Town Square of the Old Town Orloj (Staroměstský orloj) are medieval astronomical clocks located on the south side of the Old Town Hall tower in Prague.

The first written reference to Orloj dates back to 1410.The clock is made up of several parts - apart from an astronomical and calendar plate, it is fitted with the mechanism of twelve apostles, who appear in two small windows every entire hour (9.00 - 11p.m.). In a parade of apostles, another mannequin on the sides of the clock comes alive in mechanical motion - the reaper ringing, turning the hourglass, indicating to thestanding Turk that his time is up.

He‘s shaking his head away. Vanity and Lakomec behave similarly. The sought-after Orloj is part of the historic centre of Prague, belonging to the UNESCO list of cultural monuments.

CHARLES BRIDGE

Karlův most, Prague 1

The Czech Republic’s capital is full of amazing sights of great value. But Charles Bridge definitely belongs among the TOP 5 most amazing ones. Not only is this medieval building one of the most famous bridges in the world, but it is also inseparably connected to the most glamorous era of Prague and – last but not least – it just might be the most beautiful bridge in Europe. And we are not exaggerating at all. Charles Bridge is 516 meters long, 9.5 meters wide, 13 meters high, and stands on 15 pillars. It’s also the part of the so-called Royal Route.

VRTBA GARDEN

Karmelitská 25, Prague 1

Designed by František Maxmilián Kaňka, the garden is a beautiful example of an Italian-style terraced layout. Visitors can admire sculptures by Matyáš Bernard Braun and frescoes by Václav Vavřinec Reiner in the elegant sala terrena. NOVÝ SVĚT

Hradčany, Nový Svět, Prague 1

Many people do not have any idea hat almost in the centre of Prague there is a small town with its own poetry and identity. The Nový Svět area is a kind of a small district in the immediate vicinity of the Prague Castle, full of picturesque corners and harmony. Actually, it was a suburb of the Castle Area (Hradčany) that was founded in the mid-14th century along an old road heading the village of Střešovice. In 1360, it became a part of Hradčany by decision of the emperor Charles IV. It was integrated to the designed city fortification system. The origin of this part of Hradčany is not exactly known, but it was probably a forecourt of the Prague Castle positioned on a gradually filled ravine and the Brusnice stream valley.

Fata Morgana Greenhouse in Prague offers a unique journey through exotic landscapes all year round. This modern, S-shaped structure is built into rocky terrain, creating a natural backdrop for diverse plant life. Inside, visitors explore three climate zones across 1,750 m², featuring tropical and subtropical flora along a 225-meter path. The first section showcases dry tropics, including Australian bush, Madagascar plants, and vegetation from Mexico and southern Africa. It’s an ideal escape into nature for families and curious explorers alike, right in the city, perfect for all ages, offering a peaceful and inspiring experience.

LETNÁ

Perched high above the Vltava River, Letná offers one of the most captivating views in all of Prague. This leafy neighborhood blends relaxed local life with a quietly vibrant cultural scene. Start your stroll in Letná Park, where wide paths lead to breathtaking panoramas of bridges and red rooftops. At its heart stands the Metronome, a striking symbol of the city’s shifting history. As the day softens, the famous Letná Beer Garden fills with laughter, clinking glasses, and the golden glow of sunset through chestnut trees. Skaters, artists, and friends gather here, giving the area its effortlessly cool energy. Just beyond lies Stromovka Park, a vast green escape perfect for a quiet wander. Close to the center yet far from the crowds, Letná is Prague at its most authentic—open, creative, and alive.

MICHAEL

The biographical film attempts to capture the journey from a talented child in Gary, Indiana, to a global phenomenon who redefined modern pop music and the very concept of a superstar.

The film follows Jackson’s early years in the family group Jackson 5 and gradually traces his transformation into a solo artist obsessed with perfection. It is not only about the music itself, but also about the pressure, ambition, and the price that came with the pursuit of becoming the biggest star in the world. Alongside the behind-the-scenes view of his career, the film also gives space to Jackson’s personal life, which for most of the time was exposed to intense public scrutiny.

The lead role is played by Jaafar Jackson, Michael Jackson’s nephew, for whom this is a feature film debut. The casting itself suggests an effort to achieve the greatest possible authenticity, but it also raises the question of how objective the portrait will be — and to what extent it may represent a controlled interpretation of the legacy of a man whose life was surrounded by both admiration and controversy.

He is joined by well-known actors such as Nia Long, Laura Harrier, Miles Teller, and Colman Domingo, portraying key figures

from Jackson’s professional and personal circle. The film is directed by Antoine Fuqua, best known for action films such as Training Day, Tears of the Sun, and the Equalizer series. The screenplay was written by John Logan, whose credits include Gladiator and The Aviator, suggesting a strong focus on character psychology and the cost of fame. After all, this is often where similar biographical films are at their strongest — not in recreating well-known moments, but in revealing what happened beyond the spotlight.

Michael therefore faces a difficult task: not only to remind audiences of the musical genius that influenced generations of artists, but also to offer a portrait of a man whose life was as fascinating as it was complicated. The question remains whether the film will manage to strike a balance between tribute and honest portrayal, or whether it will remain a carefully constructed legend.

VISIT MUSEUM KAMPA

Museum Kampa is a museum of modern art, located in the historical center of Prague. The core collection consists of the art collection of Jan and Meda Mládek, who actively supported Czechoslovak non-conformist artists during their stay in exile in the second half of the 20th century. The permanent exhibition of the Museum is dedicated to the paintings and drawings of František Kupka, one of the pioneers of abstract art at the beginning of the 20th century, and the sculptures of the cubist sculptor Otto Gutfreund.

Museum Kampa also organizes many short–term exhibitions. “Václav Špála – Flowers” focuses on floral still lifes. Although these represent the most numerous segment of Špála’s work, they have never been the subject of a solo exhibition before. Until mid-May, you can also see abstract paintings by Rybka and Kurandová, and abstract sculptures by Novák and Karoušek. New exhibitions are coming in June – check our website or social media for more information!

WHO? WHY? DANIEL PEŠTA

In the past six years, the work of Daniel Pešta has been presented in visual projects on the occasion of the Biennale di Arte in Venice, Italy, both as part of collective exhibitions and in the solo show “Something Is Wrong” held in the industrial spaces of Tana Art Space gallery in 2024.

This body of work will be presented in the Czech Republic for the first time.

We do not engage with history in order to be condemned to repeat it, but rather because we may learn from it how to free ourselves from constantly recurring patterns. The period into which we were born has shaped each of us, and certain things come to seem unchangeable. We sometimes forget that history is not driven solely by politics, economics, or technology, but also by our own opinions and beliefs—and above all by civic engagement.

We hear from all sides that human life is sacred, unique, and of immeasurable value. Yet humanity continues to tolerate and passively witness the blatant violation of the right to life in real time.

As always, Pešta expresses himself through a multimedia approach—from painting and watercolor to objects, installations, video, and assemblage— characterized by a distinctive sense of

existential urgency. Psychological, philosophical, and political themes lie at the core of his work. The question of the future is becoming increasingly significant in his practice, as technology and information systems have granted humanity unprecedented power.

PALLADIUM WHERE HISTORY MEETS MODERN TRENDS

Prague has many faces, but you truly feel its shopping pulse the moment you pass through the iconic historic façade on Republic Square. Palladium is more than just a shopping center; it’s a lifestyle destination where a thoughtful blend of history and modern architecture creates a one-of-a-kind experience.

Palladium continuously refreshes its offer, as shown by recently opened stores such as the Korean cosmetics boutique K-sisters, the fragrant world of Bath & Body Works, the stylish florist Bliss Flowers, and the popular Vietnamese baguette stand Bánh mì WOW.

The main highlight of this season, however, is the May opening of the Victoria’s Secret boutique, bringing an iconic brand and global style right into Prague’s historic center. The shopping journey doesn’t stop there—starting in May, you can also visit the new Ferrat menswear store, followed in June by the Canadian footwear brand Aldo, offering both women’s and men’s collections.

When you need a break from shopping, take a ride through the photogenic illuminated tunnel up to level +2, the “Tasty Garden.” Alongside fast food options, you’ll find a pizze-

ria, as well as Thai, Lebanese, and Indian restaurants. Those with a sweet tooth can enjoy artisanal ice cream or macarons, while fans of healthy eating can look forward to the vegetarian restaurant Dhaba Beas opening in May. And that’s not all—August will bring the Matcha Crew stand, followed by the Mexican restaurant Los Capolitos in September.

Whether you’re looking for the latest fashion finds or simply a pleasant place to meet in the heart of the city, Palladium is a must-visit stop in Prague.

P.S. If you’re heading to the city center by car, Palladium offers convenient 24/7 parking with 700 spacious parking spaces. You can check current availability at www.palladiumpraha.cz or in the PALLADIUM KLUB app.

For the youngest visitors, the museum offers quizzes, cut-out games and haptic objects. The first part of the exhibition is dedicated to the historical period up to 1740. The next exhibition presents the historical period from 1740 to 1914. In the exhibition of the First World War 1914 - 1918, the connecting motif is a train that imaginatively takes the visitor to the trenches. The next part of the exhibition focuses on the period 1918 to 1938, starting with the return of Czechoslovak legionaries to Czechoslovakia, continuing with the formation of the Czechoslovak Legion. The final section is devoted to the political situation in the 1930s. The extensive exhibition 1938 - 1948 covers the period after Munich, the Second World War and the post-war period. There are unique objects on display, such as Otakar Jaroš‘s pistols or the personal belongings of paratroopers. Another part of the exhibiti-

on deals with the events after 1948, when Czechoslovakia found itself behind the Iron Curtain. The final part is devoted to the period from November 1989 to the present day and the involvement of our soldiers in foreign operations.

leading designers, studios, and emerging talents from around the world. The architectural concept of the authentic installation created for Designblok 2025 was designed by Studio ORA, with construction by miriki studio.

The publication offers an original perspective on the town through the symbolic 1318 minutes – approximately 22 hours of life in Kutná Hora. It captures one full day and night in the city as it can be experienced by any visitor. We follow an imagined walk of a person discove-

ring the beauty of this remarkable place during a typical autumn day. The book presents not only iconic landmarks, but also subtle moments of everyday life.

The photographs bring an unconventional view of well-known historical buildings as well as overlooked corners that many visitors might easily miss. The authors explore the city from unexpected angles, revealing the beauty of its houses, streets, and details that shape its unique character. The title 1,318 Minutes in Kutná Hora carries a dual meaning: it represents 22 hours – a full day one can spend in the town – and also refers to the year 1318, when Kutná Hora was granted city status, a moment that significantly shaped its history and development.

The publication was created by the photographic duo BoysPlayNice, copywriter Ondřej Horák, and graphic design studio Studio Milan Nedvěd. Together, they produced a work on the border of photography and visual poetry, guiding readers through both visual and emotional experiences. Rather than a traditional

THE BEST OF PRAGUE: UNIQUE BREWERY, OUTSTANDING FOOD, UNFORGETTABLE ATMOSPHERE

Located in Prague’s iconic Masaryčka building, designed by Zaha Hadid, FUZE is the only restaurant in the Czech Republic with its own glass brewhouse — brewing fresh, unfiltered beer right inside the dining room. It’s an experience you won’t find anywhere else.

The food is just as impressive. FUZE serves one-of-a-kind dishes made from top-quality ingredients. The legendary Thor’s Hammer — a 700g slow-braised and wood-fired beef knuckle for 2 to 4 people — is unlike anything else in Prague. There’s also the Beef Wellington with truffle mushroom duxelles and demi-glace, and the Shrimp Roll with 12 Argentine red shrimp, cognac cocktail sauce, and fries. And that’s just a taste — the full menu offers more, including monthly specials that bring seasonal variety.

With two floors and outdoor seating, FUZE offers one of the largest and most original restaurant interiors in Prague. The design blends modern architecture with industrial style, warm wood, leather, street art, and curated details — creating a truly memorable setting.

Live DJ sets every Thursday to Saturday create a lively, welcoming vibe. FUZE is also one of Prague’s busiest lunch

spots, serving around 700 meals daily. Weekends welcome families with a special menu and a small children’s corner. Don’t miss top Czech spirits and coffee roasted just meters away by Made in Coffee.

U PRAVDŮ

AN OLD BOHEMIAN EXPERIENCE

Bring it to the table, let the Truth be revealed! Take a trip back to a time when portions were fairer, ducks meatier, and beer more drinkable. With today’s tip, you will visit the unique and historic U Pravdů restaurant, where beer has been on tap since 1888.

You can visit this Czech delicacy while strolling through Prague. Just choose the silver tourist trail, whose signs are stamped in the curbs and will reliably lead you to Žitná Street. As an attraction beyond the tourist guide, you can take a photo at the house where the world-famous composer Antonín Dvořák lived, as this house is also in Žitná Street directly opposite the U Pravdů restaurant.

The total capacity of the restaurant is 68 seats and it is divided into 3 parts. Main hall, bar and lounge, with a capacity of 42, 8 and 18 guests. On rainy summer days the garden in the courtyard of the house is open with a capacity of about 50 seats.

The history of the U Pravdů restaurant dates back to 1888, when Mr. František Pravda asked for permission to build a gazebo in which he would brew beer according to the law of the brewery. References to the house in which the restaurant is located date back to the 14th century, when the house was successively called U Lajblů, U Chlupů, U Tikánů or Kalivodský. During the Renaissance, it was beautifully decorated, and its

brewery façade with a gable attic was an ornament of Žitná Street.

In the U Pravdů restaurant you will agree with those who enjoy that beautiful time of stylish lamps, carved chairs, old bicycles, black and white photos and traditional Czech cuisine, which was best served by the mothers of Czech grandmothers. The current interior, which has been used since the turn of the millennium, is similar to the original look of the time. Most of the restaurant’s accessories are original or historical. The restaurant serves Pilsner, Polička, semi-dark Ferdinand and unfiltered Unětice. The interior will delight lovers of the First Republic, in whose style it is decorated. Lots of small details and details will make a proper feast a real experience for all senses.

And what delicacies does this Old Bohemian restaurant offer, among others? Delicious roast pork ribs, roast duck, rabbit on spinach and bacon, pork, dumplings, very, goulash or meat skewer. That is just a modest list of what you will be licking your lips for at the U Pravdů restaurant. And believe me, this is no tourist trap. Even the biggest Czech patriots will be thrilled to try the local cuisine.

And we have to mention the helpful service that will advise you. After all, Czech cuisine is quite specific, so do not be afraid to have anything recommended. Personally, we would bet that whatever you choose, you will not regret it, but you cannot give anything for asking.

So, if you intend to visit an honest old Bohemian restaurant while wandering around Prague, you will not go wrong at the U Pravdů restaurant. Whether we are talking about food, drink or the overall concept, everything here is exactly as it should be. The place is in a great location, you will feel the atmosphere of a traditional Czech restaurant in the best possible sense of the word and you will be delighted by its offer. This is what a proper cultural and gastronomic experience should look like.

ISAAC’S

If you’re looking for something different from traditional Czech cuisine, Isaac’s BBQ offers a taste of authentic American barbecue right in the Prague center.

At Isaac’s, everything revolves around the smoker. Brisket, pork shoulder and other meats are cooked low and slow for many hours over real wood, creating deep flavor and perfect tenderness. The menu combines classic barbecue techniques with creative twists inspired by different cuisines, making it a great place for both barbecue lovers and curious food explorers.

The restaurant is designed as a relaxed, welcoming space where food is meant to be shared. Large trays loaded with smoked meats, sides and house-made sauces are perfect for groups of friends or family looking to enjoy a long dinner together. But don’t hesitate to come solo. You can sit at the bar, watch the kitchen in action through the large windows behind it, and enjoy a more casual dining experience with cocktails or craft drinks.

Located just a short walk from Wenceslas Square, Isaac’s BBQ has quickly become a favourite among locals and visitors alike. Whether you’re stopping by for a hearty dinner, sharing a feast with friends, or simply curious to experience modern barbecue culture, Isaac’s BBQ is a destination worth adding to your Prague food itinerary.

MATZIP: THE STORY OF AUTHENTIC KOREAN CUISINE IN THE HEART OF PRAGUE

In the historic Josefov district of Prague 1 lies a small piece of Korea, the restaurant Praha Matzip. The Korean word “matzip” refers to a place known for delicious food, and that’s exactly what Matzip serves its guests every day.

Behind this restaurant is chef Donggyu Kwak, who came from the South Korean city of Suwon to share his passion for family recipes. From a young age, he helped his mother make homemade kimchi and dreamed of owning a restaurant where he could offer the world the taste of true Korean cuisine with no compromises or adjustments.

Matzip is not just another Asian restaurant. It‘s a place where traditional recipes are respected, fresh and homemade

ingredients are used, and every dish is prepared with care for both tradition and the customer. From spicy kimchi jjigae, bibimbap, and crispy fried chicken to their specialty tender marinated jokbal, every bite tells a story.

In 2025, Matzip introduced a modern self-service table ordering system that combines traditional atmosphere with innovation and customer comfort. This system allows guests to order at their own pace while learning more about the dishes they’re enjoying.

Matzip is not just about food. It’s about the experience. A place where culture, flavour and honesty come together. If you’ve never tasted real Korea before, start here.

The bistro is known for its popular brunches, lunches, and light dinners. Right at the entrance, guests are greeted by a tempting display of homemade cakes and desserts.

To drink, the menu offers craft beers, organic wines from the Czech Republic and partner wineries abroad, fermented lemonades, and of course, top-quality specialty coffee.

The tasty memories

Bistro Karel also features a well-stocked deli that is appreciated by both locals and tourists looking to take home

an authentic memory of Prague. Here, customers can find products made directly in the bistro’s kitchen (such as fermented vegetables, herbal salt, homemade oils, and more), as well as goods from partner brands—from coffee beans to natural cosmetics.

Discover another Prague

Although Bistro Karel is located close to the historic center, its surroundings offer plenty of greenery and hillside vineyards. The bistro also sits right along a cycling path that follows the banks of the Vltava River. Discover a charming side of Prague you’ll be talking about long after your visit.

PEONY ASIAN FUSION

as confidently into the grill and seafood: think charred, glossy, “one more bite” dishes designed for the middle of the table, plus heartier options for anyone who wants something more substantial than rolls. The restaurant positions itself as “fusion” in the best sense—familiar classics, nudged into a more contemporary, crowd-pleasing direction rather than overly experimental detours.

What makes Peony especially convenient is its central, walk-in-friendly location and late-ish service: according to the venue listing, it’s open daily 11:00–23:00, which makes it a useful backup plan after shopping, a movie, or a last-minute “let’s meet in the centre” text.

Tucked inside Koruna Palace (Palác Koruna) on Wenceslas Square, Peony Asian Fusion is one of those new spots that tries to solve a very Prague problem: your group can’t agree on dinner. The concept is broad on purpose—a modern take on Vietnamese, Japanese and Thai flavours, built around shareable plates, sushi, and a lively bar program.

On the menu, you’ll find the expected sushi selection, but the kitchen leans just

HARLY‘S BAR

A place where nothing is forbidden and where even the biggest lambs become nocturnal animals. If Mirek Dušín were to enter this establishment, he would become a rock star. You want to experience a really wild party that you cannot get home from until dawn? Harly’s Bar will not disappoint.

Welcome to one of the most exciting clubs in Prague. And this is no newcomer. Harly’s Bar in Dlouhá Street is now a legend, and its patrons cannot get enough of it. They have good reason to keep coming back. Actually, they have several reasons.

Reason number one: You love rock and independence. Both of which are reflected in the atmosphere of the place in the best possible way. If you have a problem with one or the other, move on down the

block. This place would make you feel like Alice in Wonderland after you have ingested the sponges.

The second reason: the drink menu is really great. The cocktails are the backbone of the place and it is no problem to agree with the bartender on almost anything if he has on hand. A bonus is the excellent prices for a similar location.

And the third reason? Absolutely luxurious location! Harly’s Bar is just a few steps away from the Old Town Square. In practice, this means that it does not matter what time your excursion to this “Hell on Earth” (pun intended) ends. You will always be close to the various modes of public transport and the swarm of taxi drivers that regularly circle the club until the morning.

You will have an assault on your senses during the evening. And not only with great music and other visitors (there’s a lot to see), but also thanks to the bartenders who do not like to bore their customers and therefore regularly organize spectacular fire shows. And it does not stop there. If the ladies take a liking to the bartender, he might just put Jack in your mouth from a bottle right on the bar. And do not worry, gentlemen, it is not just for the fairer sex. Harly’s has its fair share of feisty female bartenders.

So, what do you mean by Harly’s Bar? Well, it is a place where no one is bored, where you will easily kick back one drink after another, where you can dance on the table on weekends and weekdays, and where the bartenders party with you. It is a club that brings out a whole other side of people. It is a place to party or have a birthday party. Why? Because they will be as wild as the place itself – the bartenders will chain you up, tie you to the wall, pour ice in your pants, spray you with whipped cream, in short, they will prove to you

that they enjoy their work and you will have fun with them.

So, if you prefer a rock blast to pop pomade and you are sick of all those glitzy venues with shamrocks in tight pants and girls looking like plastic mannequins, head to Harly’s Bar, which will offer you the atmosphere of a proper American rock venue. The attentive service, with the added bonus of a midnight fire show, special drinks, music all night that will get everyone rocking, and an atmosphere you will not forget. Just a party that will get you in the mood for the next day.
