Lindt Home of Chocolate Right by Lake Zurich, an interactive multimedia exhibition awaits chocolate-lovers at the Lindt Home of Chocolate. Obviously, you’ll get to try the famous Swiss chocolate, too. The world’s largest Lindt Chocolate Shop is a particular highlight, as are the research facility, the café overlooking the impressive chocolate fountain and the “Chocolateria”, which hosts a range of workshops and courses.
The Uetliberg rises high above the city’s rooftops to an altitude of 2,857 ft (871 m) above sea level. From the top, visitors can enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the city and lake, with the snow-capped Alps in the distance. In the summer, the Uetlib erg is a starting point for hikes and mountain biking tours. In the winter, the trails serve as toboggan runs. It takes just 20 minutes to reach the Uetliberg from Zurich Main Station with S-Bahn 10. The train runs every half hour from platform 21/22.

FIFA Museum
According to legend, Charlemagne discovered the graves of Zurich’s patron saints, Felix and Regula, and had a church built on the same spot. In the 16th century, Huldrych Zwingli initiated the Reformation in German-speaking Switzerland from the Grossmünster. More than 187 steps lead up to the viewing platform at the top of the Karlsturm tower. Other highlights include the agate windows by Sigmar Polke and the crypt dating from 1107 AD.

This work of art, completed in 1967 by Le Corbusier, is a real architectural gem: it was the last building constructed by the prominent French-Swiss architect, designer and artist and is his only work made completely of glass and steel. In the summer, inline skaters, bathers, market vendors and street artists gather around the lower lake basin. Fairs and festivals are also held here. This church with a former convent was founded in 853 AD by King Louis the German. After the Reformation, ownership passed to the City of Zurich. The church’s most important decorative features are its stained glass windows. The north windows are by Augusto Giacometti. The five-part stained-glass window series in the choir and the rosette in the southern transept are the work of Marc Chagall. There is also a series of frescoes by Paul Bodmer in the cloister.

St. Peter’s Church is the oldest parish church in Zurich. The original foundation walls dating from the 9th century can still be seen under the chancel. The city’s first mayor, Rudolf Brun, acquired St. Peter’s Church in 1345, along with all the associated privileges and obligations. His grave and monument can be found by the outer tower wall. The clock face on the tower measures 28.5 ft (8.7 m) in diameter. The tower’s five bells date back to 1880 and the largest weighs over 6.6 tons (6,000 kg) without its clapper.

The Niederdorf is part of Zurich’s Old Town and stretches along the right bank of the Limmat. Similarly to Limmatquai, which runs parallel, it is a pedestrian zone. During the day, the many little stores and boutiques tucked away in the narrow side streets invite passers-by to browse. In the evening, the Niederdorf is transformed into a nightlife district, catering for a varied public with its many bars and restaurants.

Boat Cruises Classic city tours take guests in comfortable, air-conditioned buses to see Zurich’s top sights, including Bahnhofstrasse, the Grossmünster and Fraumünster churches, the Opera House, Lake Zurich and more.
