A New Blue Door Opens at Austin MTR: Zubin’s Family Centre Expands
Expanding access and opportunity for Hong Kong’s ethnically diverse communities
The Zubin Foundation, a Hong Kong registered charity dedicated to reducing suffering and providing opportunities for ethnically diverse communities, warmly invites you to cover the Opening Ceremony of the Zubin’s Family Centre Extension – The Blue Door, followed by a Community Open Day, on Saturday, 18 April 2026
The Opening Ceremony will be officiated by Mr. Chris Sun, Secretary for Labour and Welfare, who will speak on the importance of inclusion, community partnership and opportunity for all.
What was once a single doorway of support has grown into a larger, more welcoming space, offering safe access to services for families, women, youth, elderly individuals and those navigating mental health challenges, many of whom travel across Hong Kong by MTR to reach help.
Following the ceremony, the Centre will transform into a Community Open Day, welcoming 200+ families from the low-income ethnically diverse communities to receive donated toys, books and clothing.
By expanding this MTR connected space, The Zubin Foundation continues its mission to ensure that no one is left behind, regardless of ethnicity, background or circumstance.
