)*4503: Historic milestone in the democratization of telephony in Brazil Grupo Zopone built its trajectory based on solid values such as work, dedication and determination. Over 38 years, a small enterprise was transformed into a large conglomerate, with thousands of employees, several companies and dozens of projects carried out with excellence. This is a family business that has grown consistently and sustainably, gaining professional recognition in Brazil and Chile in the areas in which it operates. Zopone Engenharia was founded in June 1988 by Júnior Zopone, a civil engineer who graduated the previous year from the School of Engineering of São Carlos of the University of São Paulo (EESC-USP). In 1989, his brother Cláudio Zopone, who also graduated from the same institution, joined the project, starting a journey marked by learning, growth and entrepreneurial maturity. The first steps were taken in a rented commercial room in a building on Rua Primeiro de Agosto, in downtown Bauru (SP), with the execution of small construction jobs, such as the construction of walls and residences. In that initial phase, the founders themselves worked directly on the construction sites, actively participating in the execution of services and administrative management, in a typical nascent company model, where the partners accumulate multiple functions and responsibilities. Almost four decades later, with thousands of employees and dozens of companies and construction sites under their management, the brothers continue to lead Grupo Zopone, maintaining the same dedication, ethics and entrepreneurial spirit that marked its origin. The joint management remains guided by the values of competence, honesty and transparency — pillars that sustain long-lasting relationships with customers since the beginning of the company. More than a business society, the partnership between the brothers reflects a commitment to excellence, innovation and the permanent desire to evolve, always doing the best in each project.

)*4503: The values and ideas that guide all actions from Júnior and Cláudio, currently established in the corporate culture of the Group and its professionals, have turned the modest undertaking, with a Bauru soul, into a recognized brand in the market. In the early 1990s, when the first mobile phone networks came into operation in Brazil, Zopone faced the new challenges head on and made its mark among the pioneers in the construction of Base Radio Stations (ERBs). The first mobile phone station was for Telesp, in Bauru, and then in Marília, about 100 kilometers to the west, to close a mobile network interconnected between the two cities.
And it has no longer stopped working in the execution of infrastructure projects for telecommunications, still in those time’s analog system and evolving together with the technologies, going through 2G, 3G, 4G and currently 5G for telephone operators, sharing companies and equipment manufacturers. For over 15 years, Zopone Engenharia has been the leading company in the telecommunications service provision market, both for infrastructure and installation.

The company opens its operations with high-end residential and commercial condominiums in Bauru and Três Lagoas (MS), with all the demands of modern life - comfort, leisure and safety options, treated with the principles of sustainability. In 2016, Zopone started a new leap in its activities by debuting as a transmission concessionaire of the electric power system with the Água Azul substation, in Guarulhos, in the Greater São Paulo. In addition to the implementation, from environmental licensing, civil construction and electromechanical assembly, the substation is operated by Zopone, which won the concession auction for 30 years, opening a new horizon for the Group. Today, we have Z-Energia company, with a total of 7 energy transmitters, following the same management and performance model.

Seeking to transform challenges into opportunities, in 2019, we founded Z-Mais Construtora, a company focused on the execution of Minha Casa Minha Vida construction sites, maintaining the quality of Zopone Engenharia, building houses with efficiency and excellence. In 2020, we took another step in our portfolio, the creation of Luz do Brasil when we won our first PPP (Public Private Partnership) in the field of street lighting, aiming at smart cities and improving the quality of service provided to the Brazilian population, generating safety, economy and efficiency. Currently, we have two concessions: MT Routes - Production and MT Routes - Arinos, integrating 655 k ilometers, aiming for 30 years, implementation and maintenance of the entire operation of the track, such as: signaling, paving, green area, automatic collection via freeflow, operational service bases, among others. Parallel to the construction branch, brothers Júnior and Cláudio also invest in Brazilian agribusiness. Since 1992, they have acquired land and founded Agropecuária do Campo, a company located in the Ribeirão Cascalheira region, in the state of Mato Grosso, focused on cattle ranching for the production of nellore and angus beef cattle, and genetic selection of elite nellore and brangus breeders bulls. In agriculture, we prioritize the cultivation of soybeans for sale, and the production of corn for our confined animals’ own consumption.

)*4503: Afterwards, in 2011, we founded Agroflorestal do Campo, a company dedicated to the cultivation of forestry in the region of Três Lagoas - MS, aiming at the pulp and paper market, through renewable eucalyptus forests. In the same year, when the difficulty of purchasing quality eucalyptus seedlings for the group’s forests arose, it was decided to create Terra Flora, our nursery also located in Três Lagoas/MS, with a production capacity of 40 million seedlings/year, currently serving not only Agroflorestal do Campo, but mainly large customers operating in the pulp and paper market.

In this public concession model, the Municipal Government or Consortium of Municipalities grants the Management of Services for periods ranging from 5 to 35 years, encompassing the Modernization, Optimization, Expansion, Energy Efficiency, Operation, and Maintenance of the local Public Lighting network infrastructure. We support Municipalities and Intermunicipal Consortia from the beginning, through the Structuring of Concession Model. Through the MIP (Private Interest Expression) or PMI (Procedure for Expression of Interest), we have developed all the necessar y studies — Engineering Modeling, Economic Financial Modeling and Legal Modeling, enabling the granting authority to continue with the Bidding Process while meeting all legal requirements. Currently (2025), we are concessionaires in 22 municipalities, serving a population close to 1,000,000 inhabitants and managing about 180,000 lighting points.

Social Responsibility The Associação Bauruense de Desportes Aquáticos (ABDA) is a nonprofit entity, born from the dream of entrepreneurs Cláudio and Júnior Zopone to offer a better future for children and adolescents through sports and music in the city where they grew up, Bauru - SP. The project first took shape in 2010, serving a small group of children from public schools and philanthropic institutions. On January 15, 2011, ABDA was officially founded, turning a dream into a tangible initiative that impacts lives. In addition to sports, ABDA has also been active in the field of music since 2017, with classes taught at ABDA Philharmonic. Through its musical division, ABDA offers classes in musical initiation, children’s and youth choir, piano, strings, guitar, percussion, and wind instruments—expanding cultural access and fostering the artistic growth of its students. Based on dedication, we also provide scholarships for athletes, from elementary school through university, with the goal of achieving our true purpose: champions in life. Since its foundation, the association has grown significantly, with more than 21,000 young people served by the project and today with more than 3,000 children and adolescents of different ages, across 7 training centers in the city of Bauru (SP). In 2016, we opened the Arena ABDA, a state-of-the-art complex featuring two Olympic swimming pools, with the capacity to host major national and international competitions. In 2021, it expanded its activities to Pederneiras (SP), through a partnership with the Municipal Government, further broadening its reach and social impact. With dedication and commitment, ABDA continues to promote inclusion, citizenship and development through sports and culture, transforming realities and inspiring new generations.
