University Project

Politecnic University Of Turin

The proposed site is situated in the enchanting city of Nanjing, renowned as the former capital of southern China and nestled within the captivating historical district of Hehua Tang.

This particular area of the city stands out for its remarkably preserved traditional Chinese urban design.

The southern boundary of the district is defined by the imposing Nanjing city wall, near which the designated land plot is located.

Consequently, the site is affected by the overshadowing presence of a solid structure towering at a height of 15 meters, presenting a significant challenge for the project.

From the top of the towering wall, a spectacular panoramic view of the city unfolds, inviting individuals to begin an exhilarating climb. To offer a truly unique experience, three exciting options for climbing the wall have been proposed. To offer a truly distinctive experience, three captivating options have been proposed for ascending the wall:

The Tower, a classic architectural marvel featuring a staircase for a vertical ascent.

The Flying Buttress, which gracefully transports individuals along an arched trajectory.

The Belvedere, a splendid platform adorning the wall, affording visitors the opportunity to bask in a breathtaking view from above.

AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT

Torino, Italy,2022

2022

University Project

Politecnic University Of Turin

The Agricultural District of Torino promotes agricultural production, research and education, taking advantage of the existing structure of the former Thysenkrupp factoryThis building will be closed with curtain walls that allow the visibility of the interior productive area, and at the same time allow maintaining a controlled environment with the optimal amount of light and temperature. The mass production modules are always located between two squares, so their function is based on connecting the public and allowing crop surveillance.

We have been entrusted with the task of revitalizing the old TyssenKrupp factory, which unfortunately fell into disuse following a devastating fire incident.

Nestled in the upper part of Turin, towards the northwest, the site boasts a strategic advantage with its direct access to the main highway connecting Milan.

The area is flanked by a serene river on one side and a picturesque park on the other, presenting an opportunity to harmonize the industrial building and reintegrate it seamlessly into its natural surroundings.

A key objective of our project is to breathe new life into the area, reestablishing its vitality while unifying it with its environment.

Leveraging the existing structure of the former ThyssenKrupp factory, we aim to create an Agricultural District of Torino that champions agricultural production, research, and education.

The design seeks to make the production process more attractive and visible, as both private productive use and public engagement will be integral to the district.

VERTCAL AGRICULTURE

By marrying functionality with aesthetics, we endeavor to ensure the project becomes a beacon of sustainability, fostering a renewed sense of purpose and reinvigorating the area’s potential.

In the agricultural district there will be both a private productive use and a public use, so making production more attractive and visible was fundamental to the design of the project.

CULTURAL CENTER

Tehran,Iran

2019

University Project Sooreh University

The project envisions a Cultural Research Building for the University of Tehran, designed to foster collaboration and interaction among researchers. Central to this vision is the integration of traditional Persian architectural elements, which not only honor the rich cultural heritage of Iran but also create a welcoming atmosphere for scholars and students.

Inspired by traditional Persian architectural elements, the design incorporates the Goadal Baghche and the Goud from the Zurkhaneh.

These features, deeply rooted in Iranian culture, enhance the space with a sense of heritage and community, supporting an environment of shared learning and cultural exchange.

. The building’s design emphasizes open, communal spaces that encourage dialogue and exchange of ideas, reflecting the university’s commitment to innovation and academic growth.

By situating this structure in the heart of the university, we aim to establish a vibrant gathering place that serves as a hub for interdisciplinary research and cultural activities, bridging the past with the future.

Due to the fact that the research building is located next to the project site, we tried to increase the research and study space by placing the research section near the building and also connecting these two buildings to each other.

University Project

Politecnic University Of Turin

Leri Cavour, an esteemed historical complex nestled in Vercelli, Italy, carries a rich heritage tracing back to the 17th century and has witnessed a multitude of roles over time. Presently, it stands abandoned, awaiting rejuvenation.

Our visionary project occupies a prominent position within Leri Cavour, recognizing the immense historical significance of the existing structure. It is being thoughtfully revitalized to serve as a vibrant meeting place that caters to the needs of both young and old, harmonizing with the surrounding parks and historical sites in the region.

Proposed Ideas

Final Proposal

The base of the building accommodates public gathering spaces and dining areas, while the hostel’s communal facilities find their abode here as well.

The pre-existing gardens and the passage that seamlessly traverses our site further enhance its connection to the surroundings, bolstering its unique attributes.

To enhance accessibility, an additional staircase with an elevator will be introduced, while the existing stairs will be transformed into four inviting patios, bathed in natural light streaming through skylights thoughtfully incorporated.

These delightful patios establish physical and visual connections between the floors, fostering a sense of community and facilitating encounters among visitors, thereby constituting the very essence of this restoration endeavor.

RESTORATION VIA VELA ROOF GARDEN

Torino,Italy

2022

Freelance Project Secret Home Studio

Torino boasts a wealth of historical residential buildings, where owners strive to enhance their living conditions by improving building envelopes and creating rooftop gardens.

In light of this trend, our client approached us with a request to renovate the long-abandoned roof garden of their house. Situated in a pivotal location within the city, preserving the skyline and maintaining harmony with neighboring buildings became essential considerations in our design process.

Our task involved conceptualizing a hybrid roof garden that caters to both private and family moments.

We envisioned a versatile space that incorporates a small kitchen for culinary pursuits, a cozy area for relaxation, and a rejuvenating jacuzzi.

Additionally, we aimed to provide ample room for basking in the sun and enjoying moments of tranquility.

Throughout the design, we were mindful of preserving the character of the surrounding area while infusing it with a touch of modernity and functionality. By transforming the neglected roof garden into a rejuvenated oasis, we aspired to create a haven where our client and their family can unwind, entertain guests, and soak in the beauty of their surroundings.

Freelance Project, Concept Designer

In collaboration with “Daya Studio”

Iran National Television

This project was initiated as part of a program for women featured on National Channel 4.

During the design process, I drew inspiration from women’s faces using the captivating “blind contour” technique, which led to the transformation of these faces into captivating 3D forms.

Each drawing within the collection represents the culmination of countless self-portrait sketches, painstakingly created to capture the essence and individuality of each subject.

BLIND COUNTOR

Blind contour is a drawing technique where an artist creates a continuous line drawing without looking at the paper or lifting the pen/pencil from the surface.

The artist keeps their eyes focused on the subject they are drawing while their hand follows the contours of the subject’s form.

The purpose of blind contour drawing is to capture the essence and gestural qualities of the subject rather than focusing on achieving an exact likeness.

It is a method that encourages observation and the development of hand-eye coordination. The resulting drawings often have a spontaneous and expressive quality, showcasing the unique interpretation of the artist.
