The Cœur Vert is aimed at giving the plain a distinctive landscape, by rehabilitating disused, polluted agricultural land and using it to grow miscanthus, and developing an eco-materials industry Work carried out by CA2RS.

The Nouvelle Centralité in Carrières-sous-Poissy will be a living area, equipped with a series of public gardens forming a vast ecological corridor between the Parc du Peuple de l’Herbe and the Coeur Vert. Work carried out by EPAMSA.

The project is designed to develop the area around the Chanteloup loop of the river and give local residents a more attractive living environment, using a sustainable, responsible approach. Life+ SeineCityPark will create a green network that will subsequently include five eco-responsible projects: ● Parc du Peuple de l’Herbe, ● Nouvelle Centralité, ● Cœur Vert, ● Eco-port, ● ZAC Écopôle - Seine Aval. The Life+ SeineCityPark project is a standard-setting urban environmental project in the Yvelines. The project was an award-winner in the European Commission's LIFE+ 2011 call for projects, which entitles it to a grant of around €1.8 million.

The Parc du Peuple de l’Herbe is a biodiversity reservoir for the whole Chanteloup loop area. In the future, it will be a leisure area for people from throughout the region. Focused on insects, it will combine ecological protection and awareness-raising for the public. Work carried out jointly by the Conseil général des Yvelines and CA2RS.

The Éco-port des 2 Rives de Seine will create a river access for businesses in the Chanteloup loop area and for the future eco-construction cluster. Around 20 hectares will be set aside for businesses. Work carried out by Ports de Paris.

The Ecopôle - Seine Aval is a 200-hectare industrial park dedicated to environmentally-responsible businesses. This integrated development zone will link up the Coeur Vert and the Éco-port des 2 Rives de Seine with two large, green malls. It will also house a vocational secondary school for the eco-construction industry. Work carried out by EPAMSA.

WHAT THE PROJECT ENTAILS
The 1,700-hectare area known as the Chanteloup loop is part of the downstream Seine landscape. The area is marked by its history. Originally it was used for market gardening, the associated manuring, and river quarries. Then, in the 1950s, it was urbanised and the population boomed. Between 1980 and 1990, the river quarries were filled in, putting the finishing touches to the area's complete transformation.
