IThis project addresses the critical issue of endangered freshwater mussel habitat destruction in Scotland's River Moriston due to sediment redistribution caused by dams. The disruption of natural sediment flow has severely impacted the river ecosystem, threatening the survival of these mussels, which play a vital role in maintaining water quality and biodiversity.
By studying the behavior of freshwater mussels and their parasitic relationship with host fish, we developed innovative landscape design strategies. These strategies focus on habitat ecological restoration and include multiscale devices designed to regulate sediment flow and create suitable habitats for both mussels and their host fish.
Additionally, we introduced biomimetic devices to facilitate mussel larvae migration, compensating for the decline in host fish populations. This holistic approach not only restores ecological balance but also showcases a sustainable method to support endangered species, ensuring the long-term health and resilience of the River Moriston ecosystem.

In the Mediterranean, wars, climatic disasters and poverty have forced countless people to embark on dangerous escapes in an attempt to find a new life across the rough seas. However, wind, waves, hunger and lost causes many lives to sink forever.

I designed a floating hull to provide a safe transit platform and self-sufficient living space for refugees fleeing misery. Vegetables and fish are grown on the installation, creating a sustainable ecosystem. By connecting to the surrounding islands, refugees can exchange goods and rebuild their self-esteem and hope. The installation is also equipped with a hanging basket system for transporting people and objects, building new community bonds.
It's not just life that floats, it's also hope and the future.

This project addresses the challenges of urbanization and industrial conflicts in Jakarta, West Java, Indonesia. Rapid urban expansion has led to the loss of agricultural land, displacement of rural communities, and increased environmental degradation. To mitigate these issues, the design proposes an agricultural satellite city that balances urban development with rural sustainability.
The strategy integrates productive landscapes with urban infrastructure, providing dedicated spaces for agriculture, green corridors, and local markets. This approach supports selfsufficient communities, encourages economic growth through sustainable farming, and enhances food security for urban populations. Ultimately, the project offers a replicable model for harmonizing urban living with agricultural productivity.

Once abandoned and left to nature’s reclaiming touch, this quarry in Guangzhou has been reimagined into an exhilarating and restorative space. For years, the site lay dormant, a forgotten relic of industrial extraction. Today, The Waking Quarry pulses with new life, offering a unique blend of adventure and ecological renewal.
The rugged landscape, once marked by jagged cliffs and deep, unused pits, now serves as a playground for both the body and mind. Drawing inspiration from the thrill of roller coasters, the design introduces exciting features like zip lines, climbing routes, and winding aerial walkways, all designed to provide an adrenaline rush that helps release the stress and monotony of urban life.
Old industrial structures, once symbols of abandonment, are now repurposed into vibrant spaces for planting gardens, restaurants, and social areas. This blend of past and present creates a dynamic atmosphere, where visitors can embrace both adventure and relaxation.
