Marin Women's Hall of Fame Wisdom in Action Panel Discussion at Dominican University of California (hereinafter referred to as "the Event")
I acknowledge that I am voluntarily choosing to participate in the Event and agree to these terms and conditions. I understand that allowing minor(s) under my guardianship to attend or participate in the Event is with my consent, and that by granting such consent I also agree to these terms on their behalf. This consent is limited to this event and replaces any and all prior releases or consents previously executed by me with the agency.
Photographic Release: As participant/attendee, I hereby grant YWCA Golden Gate Silicon Valley (hereinafter referred to as “YWCA”), the irrevocable right and permission to use photographs and/or video recordings of me and/or the minor under my guardianship taken at the Event, for any lawful purpose, including but not limited to publicity, illustration, advertising, and web content, without compensation or notification.
I understand and agree that these materials will become the property of the YWCA and will not be returned. I waive the right to inspect or approve the finished product, including written or electronic copy, wherein my likeness or the likeness of the minor under my guardianship appears.
I hereby hold harmless and release and forever discharge the YWCA, its affiliates, sponsors, and any third parties involved in the creation or publication of marketing materials, from all claims, demands, and causes of action which I, my heirs, representatives, executors, administrators, or any other persons acting on my behalf or on behalf of the minor under my guardianship have or may have by reason of this authorization.
Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability
I understand that participation/attendance in the Event and any activities I choose to engage in outside of the event’s official scope may involve inherent risks, including but not limited to physical injury, emotional distress, or other damages that may arise from the nature of the Event.
I assume all risks, known and unknown, that may arise from participation/attendance in the Event and any activities I choose to engage in outside of the event’s official scope. I accept full
responsibility for any injuries or damages that may occur to myself and/or the minor(s) under my guardianship as a result of participation and/or attending the Event.
I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the YWCA, their affiliates or sponsors, volunteers, and any other parties involved in the organization of the Event from any and all claims, actions, suits, procedures, costs, expenses, damages, and liabilities, including attorney's fees brought as a result of my and/or the minor(s) under my guardianship’s involvement in the Event and to reimburse them for any such expenses incurred.
Belongings and Property Disclaimer
YWCA shall not be held responsible or liable for the loss, theft, or damage of any property belonging to an individual attendee or to an organization participating in the event. All attendees and organizations are solely responsible for safeguarding their personal belongings and organizational items throughout the duration of the event. By participating, attendees and organizations agree to release and hold harmless YWCA, its officers, employees, and volunteers from any claims, demands, or liabilities arising out of such loss, theft, or damage.
By purchasing, accepting, possessing, attending, registering, or using a ticket to this Event, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
