CPO CHAT with Tuyen Fiack Tuyen Fiack joined Your YWCA in the summer of 2020, and has served as the Chief Program Officer (CPO), Economic Opportunity & Social Justice since 2022. Tuyen’s work in the community has encompassed working with the City of Morgan Hill’s “Inclusive Morgan Hill” Campaign, Silicon Valley Reads, NAACP Youth Council Leadership Program, Restorative Practice, South County Youth Task Force (SCYTF), and All Animal Rescue and Friends where she has fostered 29 puppies and dogs. In addition, she served as the President of Silicon Valley Crime Stoppers for five years, and is the current President of the School Board of Gilroy Unified School District. More recently, she joined the Board of Chopsticks Alley and serves on the Legislative Action Committee for Santa Clara County School Boards Association.
WHAT’S HAPPENING On August 26, YWCA hosted an event to discuss Amanda Nguyen’s memoir, Saving Five. Panelists from YWCA, Vietnamese Round Table, San Jose Public Library, and Santa Clara County explored themes of survival, justice, identity, and the fight to reclaim agency after trauma.
