"And so, with the sunshine and the great bursts of leaves growing on the trees, just as things grow in the fast movies, I had that familiar conviction that life was beginning over again with the summer,"
- F. SCOTT FITZGERALD – THE GREAT GATSBY
Hello everyone. WELCOME SUMMER!
MAKE SURE YOU AND YOUR BUSINESS ARE A PART OF THIS COMMEMORATIVE PUBLICATION CELEBRATING OUR COUNTRY’S BIRTHDAY AND THE HISTORY OF WILLIAMSON COUNTY ALONGSIDE AMERICA.
ADVERTISE | SPONSOR | PURCHASE
It’s my favorite time of the year. The days are longer and that gives us more day to embrace. It is also time for our 15th annual Summer Gentlemen’s Issue. I have been the only male here at YOUR Williamson for fifteen years. I’m not bragging or complaining… I am just saying. Now, I want to set the record straight: I am blessed to have these ladies of YOUR Williamson in my life and for many reasons. They are amazing and do amazing magic every day for this publication. They also are tasked with the incredible task of keeping me in line, on top of things that need to be done, and helping, as much as they can, to make me be the best version of me. Yes, I am blessed. Thank you, team.
I know you’re not supposed to play favorites –favorite kids, cousins, friends, etc. and, for me, favorite magazine issues; I love them all, but for obvious reasons, the annual Gentlemen’s issue might just be my favorite. I get even more excited! And I am excited to share this issue with you. We give you, Gentlemen, YOUR day in the sun. Now let’s make it a summer to remember. Get out and build those memories. Most of my favorite times that I recall in my many years of life, took place in summertime. Go for a summer stroll downtown at twilight; take a lake trip and go boating, fishing and swimming. Dust off those clubs and go golfing. Take a family road trip somewhere new and adventurous.
See an outdoor concert. Take a family trip to the beach. Make it a family BBQ and get together a baseball game with friends…or go see the "boys of summer” at your favorite baseball field. Life is short and you only get one chance at it. Don’t let it slip away. Get out and in the summer air. Put the top down and take in a million stars in the sky.
What are your plans for the summer? New beginnings? Continuing age-old family traditions?
Whatever you decide… DO IT. Make this summer the best ever. Hug your wife and kids. Tell them you love them and get them excited, call your Momma, call an old friend you haven’t talked to in a while to simply say hello. Help someone that needs your help just because. And “whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.” Therefore, take a deep breath – exhale and embrace each day. Be the best version of you and have an amazing and memorable summer.

People sometimes categorize sleep apnea as a “snoring disease,” but, according to Oscar E. Mendez, M.D., a neurologist and sleep medicine physician with Williamson Health Medical Group, it’s much more than that.
“Snoring can be a sign of a problem,” Dr. Mendez said. “It tells you that there’s a mechanical obstruction.”
For many men, snoring is just the beginning. When it’s accompanied by fatigue, low testosterone or metabolic issues, it may signal sleep apnea - a condition that can affect everything from cardiovascular health to blood sugar, blood pressure and mood.
Sleep apnea is a disorder that causes you to stop breathing repeatedly while sleeping, reducing oxygen levels and disrupting restorative sleep. There are two types:
• Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA): The most common form, caused by repeated collapse or blockage of the airway during sleep. Over time, this drop in oxygen levels can produce multiple cardiovascular and metabolic changes. The condition affects up to thirty percent of men (compared to about ten percent of premenopausal women), according to the National Institutes of Health.
• Central sleep apnea: A less common form, in which the brain temporarily fails to send proper signals to your breathing muscles while you sleep, causing oxygen levels to dip.
OF SLEEP APNEA?
Partners are often the first to notice signs of
sleep apnea — and the conversation usually begins with a comment about snoring. Rather than explaining snoring and fatigue away as natural results of aging or a long day at work, Dr. Mendez urges men to pay attention.
“Listen to your significant others because a comment about your snoring is often more than just a complaint,” he said. “It can point to a health issue, and it’s time to pay attention.”
Beyond snoring, symptoms include:
• Choking or gasping for air while sleeping
• Daytime sleepiness and fatigue Morning headaches
• Poor concentration
• Irritability or mood changes
• Low testosterone levels, decreased libido and more.
“As a society, we’ve just become accustomed to pushing forward and not paying attention to our bodies when they send signals of alarm,” Dr. Mendez said. “With sleep apnea, people often only seek treatment after they’ve experienced a complication, and, sometimes, damage could have already occurred.”
Risk factors include:
• Excess weight Alcohol use
• Smoking
• Nasal obstruction
• Aging
• Family history
• Airway anatomy
If you're experiencing these symptoms, talk to your physician. Evaluation will include a
review of your medical history, assessment of risk factors and may include a sleep study.
Treatment options depend on severity. Mild cases may improve with weight loss, side sleeping and treating contributing conditions such as nasal obstruction. Moderate to severe cases are commonly treated with continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) and bilevel positive airway pressure (BiPAP) therapy.
Some patients may struggle with CPAP machines, which involve a mask and hose, but alternatives exist. These non-CPAP devices, such as Inspire and other implants, stimulate the nerve that controls tongue movement to keep the airway clear while sleeping and only help with obstructive sleep apnea.
“While these options are available, they are more invasive interventions,” Dr. Mendez cautioned. “CPAP is still the first line of defense, and your physician can work with you to adjust the mask and pressure to find a solution that works best for you, but it may take some time.”
If you suspect you may be experiencing sleep apnea or other sleep disorders, Dr. Mendez and Williamson Health’s accredited sleep specialists can help. Learn more at williamsonhealth.org/sleep. Want to dive even deeper into your sleep health? Listen to the second episode of Health Talks: From the Inside Out podcast, featuring Williamson Health’s Jordan Philips, M.D., for a conversation on sleep medicine and other sleep conditions.

The “I Am Williamson” column highlights individuals who help shape the heart of Williamson County through leadership, service and a strong connection to the community they call home. This summer, we feature Justin Wilson, a Williamson County native whose family roots run deep throughout the area. As a partner at Wilson & Associates, Justin carries on a multi-generational legacy built on hard work, relationships and serving the community that helped shape him. Whether through business, family life or giving back, Justin’s appreciation for the people and values of Williamson County is evident in everything he does. Learn more about Justin in this issue’s “I Am Williamson” interview.
How long have you lived in Williamson County and what makes it feel like home to you?
I’ve lived in Williamson County my entire life, and my family has had roots here for multiple generations. That history and connection make it more than just where I live; it’s truly home. What makes Williamson County special to me is the people and the sense of community. Even with all the growth over the years, it still holds onto the values, relationships and hometown spirit that make it such a special place to raise a family and build a life.
What is your profession, and what led you to choose it?
I’m a partner alongside my brother at Wilson & Associates, a surveying and engineering company that has been serving Williamson County and the surrounding area for fifty-four years. I grew up in the business and honestly don’t remember a time when I wasn’t around it. I officially started on the payroll when I was twelve years old, working after school, in the summers and anywhere I was needed. You could say I started out as cheap child labor. Over the years, that experience gave me a deep appreciation for hard work, relationships and serving the community where we live. Being part of a family business that has helped shape

and support this area for decades is something I take a lot of pride in.
Three words that best describe you. Driven, loyal, dependable.
What keeps you motivated and inspired?
My family is my biggest motivation, without question. Professionally, I’m inspired by seeing the people around me grow. Watching our teams continue to learn, develop and succeed is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do. I spend a lot of my time on the sales and relationship side of the business, so I truly enjoy the opportunity to connect with clients and communities across the region, from Williamson County to West Tennessee and even Asheville, North Carolina. I also enjoy visiting our other offices in places like Cookeville and Johnson City. Building relationships, supporting our teams, and seeing the impact of our work across different communities is what keeps me motivated every day.
What organization(s) are you involved with and why?
I stay involved with organizations connected to the construction and transportation industry,
as well as local community efforts that make a positive impact. One that is especially meaningful to me is One Generation Away and the work they do to help provide food to families in need across Middle Tennessee. I enjoy being around people and organizations that are focused on growth, service and improving the communities we live and work in. Giving back and building meaningful relationships has always been important to me.
What is the one thing you do not go a day without?
Connecting with my family and coffee. Every day starts with a cup of coffee and watching the sunrise before everything gets moving. No matter how busy life gets, staying grounded and making time for the people closest to me is something I never take for granted. Family is what keeps everything in perspective for me.
Finish this statement:
I AM Williamson because…
I AM Williamson because I believe in community, hard work, family values and investing in the people around you. Williamson County is a place that continues to grow while still holding onto the relationships and character that make it feel like home.
y Webster’s standards –a gentleman is broadly defined as a chivalrous, courteous or honorable man. The term's meaning has evolved over time, ranging from a historical social class of the landed gentry to a modern descriptor for someone who exhibits high standards of propriety, kindness and good manners. That being said, it isn’t hard to find such a distinguished man in our midst
here in Williamson County. In both business and personal life, our 2026 Distinctively Southern Gentlemen, fulfill all of those characteristics and more in their everyday. You know them from their well-known local businesses but perhaps you didn’t know much about the men behind the business. Well, let’s learn a bit more, shall we, about just what it means to be a southern gentleman here in our community.

hat began as a vision has evolved into one of the most unique automotive experiences in the country. From the outset, Jeremy believed that everyone –- especially car enthusiasts – deserved more than a traditional car dealership experience. His goal was to create a true concierge-level automotive destination, one that could serve every type of automobile, whether it was a reliable daily driver, a prized collection, a family heirloom or even a world-class exotic.
Today, that vision is fully realized through an Automotive Resort that is now home to both 111 Motorcars and the 111 Motorclub.
At its core, 111 Motorcars offers a carefully curated sales experience built around transparency, expertise and personalized service. Every client receives the same level of attention and care, regardless of the vehicle they are buying or selling. It is a commitment that guides every interaction and has helped establish lasting relationships with clients across the country.
That commitment extends across the six-acre campus, offering a solution for everything your garage could ever need or want. Whether it is routine service, performance upgrades or specialized attention for high-end automobiles, clients know their vehicles are being cared for by people who genuinely understand and appreciate them.
For collectors and enthusiasts seeking peace of mind, 111 also offers premium vehicle storage and collection management. Designed to protect and preserve an automobile's highest value, the storage program provides owners with a secure, customtailored environment, ensuring their vehicles remain polished, charged and ready to enjoy at a moment's notice.
Perhaps the most powerful expression of Jeremy's original vision is the 111 Motorclub. Created to bring people together through a shared passion for cars, the club has become a thriving community where members can connect, attend exclusive events, enjoy unique experiences and build lasting relationships. The experience is further elevated by a beautifully designed private clubhouse featuring a full-service bar and dedicated event space.
Together, sales, service, storage, events and the Motorclub create something far greater than any one business. They form a complete automotive ecosystem built around the enthusiast, but for the benefit of every family and every car we serve. What started as Jeremy's vision of a concierge-level experience has become a reality – one that continues to redefine automotive ownership at every level while establishing itself as a national destination for the automotive community.

Tom Sullivan spent most of his career in the corporate world before pivoting to land and farm sales in 2019 with Mossy Oak Properties. He suffered a failed business setback and a non-compete clause that forced him to start a whole new career in his mid-forties. Tom always says, “You fail your way to success.” He knew that if anyone could lose so much financially and go into a straight-commission career, it would be him. Tom had his wife Kate and two kids, Huck and Savannah, to support, so failure wasn’t an option. He earned Agent of the Year for highest sales volume in both 2020 and 2021.
In January 2022, Tom founded Covey Rise Properties, a boutique firm specializing in land, farms and estates across Tennessee. Covey Rise quickly became a premier marketer of high-end and unique properties, setting the brokerage apart with immersive lifestyle videos from its Short Film series and magazine-quality photography.
Some of Covey Rise's shoots are three full days of sunrise-to-dark footage, shot with three different camera operators shooting simultaneously, to create a fourminute video. His clients trust him to sell an asset ranging from five million dollars to a current listing of thirty-five million dollars. They have one chance to maximize their profit on that asset, so they deserve the best possible marketing and salesmanship. It baffles him to see cell phone photos of a multimillion-dollar property.
Tom’s corporate background instilled in him an understanding and a commitment to be a good steward of both the land and his clients’ money. After losing so much, he always looks at the exit strategy first for his clients. It may be their forever place, but they may, or someone in their family, may sell it someday. Property with acreage, especially here in Williamson County, is arguably one of the safest investments one can make. Tom tells people that he can’t promise them a double, a triple or a home run, but he can unequivocally say you won’t lose.
Tom’s job security comes from selling a finite resource. Mark Twain said it best: “Buy land, they’re not making it anymore.” He says to people, “We could be meeting right now in your 20,000-square-foot mansion, and that’s great, but this house can be built in any state in America.” You can’t reproduce land.
Tom has been fortunate to list some of the most beautiful properties in the Southeast, which has translated to over $375 million in sales. He currently has 115 million dollars in active listings and about fifty million dollars in off-market. Finding those off-market properties is something that he has become skilled at. In 2025 alone, he did thirty-two million dollars in offmarket transactions.
Tom is very proud to have grown Covey Rise Properties into what it is today.

For nearly four decades, Carmine Grassi has built his life and career around a simple philosophy: treat people the right way, work harder than anyone else and never stop learning.
As the owner of Ford Lincoln of Franklin and Infiniti of Cool Springs, Carmine has become known throughout Williamson County for his passion for leadership and his commitment to building exceptional teams. While the automotive business has given him incredible opportunities, he believes his greatest accomplishment isn’t measured by awards or sales –it’s helping others discover their potential. Watching employees build successful careers, provide for their families and accomplish goals they never thought possible is what continues to inspire him every day.
After leaving school in the tenth grade, Carmine entered the automotive business with determination, a willingness to learn and an unwavering work ethic. Those experiences shaped the leader he is today and instilled
in him a deep appreciation for perseverance, humility and personal responsibility. His journey is proof that where you begin in life never has to determine where you finish.
Outside the dealership, Carmine values family above all else. He treasures time spent with his daughters, grandchildren, family and the people closest to him. Whether supporting local charities, mentoring young professionals or simply enjoying all that Williamson County has to offer, he believes success carries a responsibility to give back.
For Carmine, leadership is about much more than running a business. It’s about setting an example, earning trust and treating every person with dignity and respect. He believes reputation is built one decision at a time and that character is revealed by what you do when no one is watching.
For Carmine, success has never been about what he achieves for himself, but about the lives he helps improve along the way.

RENASANT BANK
With a history dating back to 1904, Renasant Bank has built its reputation on a tradition of relationship banking, community involvement and local decisionmaking. Founded in Tupelo, Mississippi as The Peoples Bank & Trust Company, the institution has grown from a small community bank into one of the Southeast’s leading regional financial organizations. Throughout more than a century of service, Renasant has remained committed to helping individuals, businesses and communities prosper while maintaining the personal approach that has defined the bank since its earliest days. Today, with operations across multiple Southeastern states, Renasant continues to honor its heritage by investing in the communities it serves and fostering long-term relationships with its clients.
That commitment to community and relationship-driven banking is reflected in the leadership of bankers like Zane Martin. A native of Arrington, Tennessee, Zane grew up in Williamson County and graduated from Page High School. He went on to earn his bachelor’s degree from The University of Mississippi before completing his M.B.A. at Middle Tennessee State University. With more than twenty years of banking experience, Zane currently serves as Senior Vice President and Commercial Relationship Manager at Renasant Bank’s Downtown Franklin office on Columbia Avenue.
Throughout his career, Zane has focused on helping businesses achieve their financial goals while building trusted, longterm partnerships. His approach aligns closely with Renasant’s longstanding philosophy that successful banking begins with understanding the unique needs of each client and community.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Zane has demonstrated a deep commitment to civic leadership and community service throughout Williamson County. He has served as Past President of the Franklin Noon Rotary Club, Past Vice President of the Next Gen Heritage Foundation and a Past Board Member of Franklin Tomorrow, Friends of Franklin Parks, My Friend’s House, Friends of Williamson County Animal Center and several other community organizations. He is also a proud graduate of the sixteenth Class of Leadership Franklin.
Zane’s dedication to service, leadership and community engagement reflects the values that have guided Renasant Bank for more than 120 years. By combining local roots, professional expertise, and a passion for strengthening the community, he continues the tradition of relationship banking that has made Renasant a trusted financial partner throughout the Southeast.

Cool Springs Upholstery has been part of Middle Tennessee for thirty-three years. What started as a small family shop founded by Zach Reeser's grandparents – who moved south from a farm in Central Illinois with a set of values that still defines the business today – has grown into one of the region's most capable upholstery operations, serving residential clients, interior designers, commercial spaces and some of Nashville's most recognizable venues.
Zach grew up in that shop. As a kid, he answered the phones. As a teenager, he rode along on deliveries with his grandfather. Even after graduating from Franklin High School, attending the University of Tennessee, and building a fourteenyear corporate career – more than a decade in management, six years in executive sales, marketing and leadership roles – he kept finding his way back to the shop whenever he was in town. Three years ago, he came back for good.
He came back to carry the torch of a business he'd grown up around, to give his family more of his time, and to apply what he'd learned across fifteen years of corporate leadership to a small business doing meaningful work in an age when so much furniture is built to be replaced rather than restored. "Furniture creates the spaces that hold the memories of our lives," Zach says. "We get to help people make those memories - and keep them."
Today, Zach co-owns Cool Springs with his aunt Amy Reeser Freese and uncle Jeff Reeser, who shepherded the company through years of growth before he joined. Zach serves as CEO – driving the company's vision and growth - while Jeff leads the commercial side. Together with their team, they've modernized and systematized a thirty-three-yearold craft business so it can do more of what it has always done well - for more people. The shop handles custom residential upholstery and designer collaborations, full commercial fit-outs, custom-built furniture, fine repairs, cushions, pillows and draperies. From a single heirloom dining chair to an entire restaurant's seating, it takes the work on at scale and at standard.
Most Williamson County residents have probably sat on a piece Cool Springs has done without ever knowing it – at a favorite restaurant, a downtown venue, a corporate office or a friend's home. Being a quiet part of those moments is, for Zach, one of the best parts of the job.
Outside the shop, Zach coaches little league, leads at his church, and founded DadCard – a membership for the men who show up, built to connect the dads of Nashville with each other and with the local businesses around them. Whether it's a piece of furniture, a team of kids or a family counting on him at home, the philosophy is the same: do the work, do it right and show up for the people depending on you.

WHAT IS ONE PIECE OF ADVICE YOU HOPE YOUR SONS TAKE WITH THEM AND TELL THEIR CHILDREN?
No way to share just one- So here are a few big ones for me and I hope for them. I have tried to instill and hope that I have raised my sons to live with integrity – for me that is about what you do when no one is watching without expecting anything in return. Also, though it may not be the easiest thing to do: ALWAYS DO THE NEXT RIGHT THING. I know that the only person you have to impress is the good Lord above. LIVE LIFE! When you get the choice to sit it out or dance… DANCE!! Be yourself: YOU are perfectly made and everyone else is taken. Believe in, ask for, look for and expect GOD WINKS. They happen all the time.
Lastly, the most important thing, I feel, you can ever do as a father for your children, is BE AN EXAMPLE; BUILD GOOD MEMORIES AND GIVE YOUR CHILDREN YOUR TIME. Oh yeah… you can never tell them often enough I LOVE YOU.
BY SHELLY ROBERTSON BIRDSONG AND THE YOUR WILLIAMSON STAFF
look forward to this issue every year, as it means I hand off the reigns of creative control to my southern gentleman, Johnny Birdsong. It is, after all, our annual homage to all things gentleman. And as he is the consummate southern gentleman in all the ways; it is only fitting that we interviewed him for his own column this month! As the mother to sons, I cannot think of anyone better than my husband, to mentor and guide them into the gentlemen they can be. Maybe even, already are. This month’s content, carefully curated by my fellow publisher, has brought you an issue that exudes all things classic, cultivated and ever so… Johnny Birdsong. I hope you enjoy it and getting to know him a little better. So, without further ado, let us find out just what “A Southern Gentleman Is…” with Johnny Birdsong:
HOW DO YOU MAINTAIN THE QUALITIES OF A SOUTHERN GENTLEMAN EVERY DAY?
I have had many years of watching, and learning from, many Southern Gentlemen. I try and carry those traits/qualities forward. Here are my most important examples: Stand up and look someone in the eye when being introduced with a firm handshake. Stay open-minded. Don’t pre-judge. Hang with the winners. Be a gracious host. Be at ease in any social setting.
I am an intent listener. I try very hard to think before I speak. I treat all people with respect. If I can help someone, I want to help them. I practice, on a daily basis, – DO THE NEXT RIGHT THING. I value punctuality and other’s time. It is vital to me to do whatever I say I am going to do. I am open and receptive to everyone. I was brought up that you present yourself to be your best self. I still dress up for church. I wear a jacket to dinner. I was told at my first job out of college “If you dress for golf, your mind is on golf, if you dress for business, your mind is on business.” I believe that NOTHING happens by accident or coincidence in my life
and EVERYTHING works out just the way it is supposed to… as long as I don’t mess it up. This last one has taken years to learn, but has made me a better husband, father, friend, business owner and overall, more of a gentleman. I don’t have to know or understand everything, I certainly don’t, and I don’t have to “fix” everything that doesn’t go my way. Another gentleman once asked me – “Would you rather be happy, or right?” Great advice.
WHAT IS THE LAST FINISHING TOUCH THAT MAKES YOU FEEL MORE LIKE A SOUTHERN GENTLEMAN EVERY DAY?
A splash of Creed cologne – light, fresh and memorable.
WHO IS ONE SOUTHERN GENTLEMAN THAT HAS INSPIRED YOUR OWN LIFE?
I have been blessed with many Southern Gentlemen influencing and molding my life. Starting with my father… I never heard the man raise his voice or say curse words. He taught me the importance of getting up early; to DO something… he had me doing

it is hard or you don’t want to.
My Uncle Bill had a great influence on me as someone today I strive to be more like. He instilled in me the power of God. He was a hard worker. He was honest and straight forward with all. He was an amazing listener. He thought before speaking. He thought before making decisions. He cared for everyone, helped everyone, treated everyone with respect. He was a self-made man from nothing to a man of wealth and influence of which to all he gave credit to God. He taught me about the two types of self-pride (bad and good) and the importance of giving back and helping others.
WHO IS ONE SOUTHERN GENTLEMAN DEAD OR ALIVE THAT YOU WOULD LOVE TO HAVE A CONVERSATION WITH?
Elvis Presley
HOW DO YOU HOPE TO INSPIRE FUTURE GENERATIONS OF SOUTHERN GENTLEMEN?
I am blooming where I am planted. I have an outlet (YOUR Williamson) to reach a lot of current and future gentlemen. I am able to share wisdom from so many “A Southern Gentlemen Is” men being featured in each issue. I have received e-mails and calls from people I have never met, many from other areas of the country, talking about reading the article on a plane and how much they enjoyed it, I had one man ask me to mail copies of a certain issue’s article, so he could give them to his four grandsons that all were in college. I hope to continue this article because there are so many role models and Southern
My “want” list (Bucket List) is very small. Today I want more for my kids than I want for myself. To quote Joe Walsh: “Life’s been good to me so far.” I would LOVE to take an extended trip to Italy to explore, embrace and experience at a slow pace.
WHAT DISTINGUISHES A “GENTLEMAN” FROM A “SOUTHERN GENTLEMAN”?
I feel a gentleman is typically defined by values like respect, integrity, good manners and treating all with courtesy. All are the same for a “Southern Gentleman.” I have met and made friends with many gentlemen from north of the Mason Dixon and certainly have learned a lot from them and have tremendous respect for them. Maybe some differences in the South could be said to be: We in the South seem to share a cultural code of honor: family, friends, business and preserving traditions. We live to show that chivalry is not dead. "Yes ma’am", "No Sir", opening doors, helping others especially children and the elderly. We are romantics to the core, and we LOVE our ladies. Learning, knowledge and wisdom are of great value. We love and value true hospitality as occasions to be savored versus chores we check off the list. We want everyone around us to feel comfortable and respected. We have a great awareness to situations and surroundings with no fear of showing empathy. A smile and hello to all we meet, is our innate nature, even to people we have never met. Maybe we just take life a little slower. Certainly, slower to react. We are more traditional of course in most things, including our seersucker and linen suits. Get yours out. It’s summer in the South!

hough we’re known for our warm tea experiences and ladies’ gatherings, southern hospitality has always been for everyone. That generous spirit extends just as warmly to the gentlemen.
This month, we’re celebrating the gentlemen of Williamson County - fathers, husbands, friends and community leaders who make our town so special. As summer unfolds across June and July, there’s nothing more southern than firing up the grill, gathering on the porch or patio, and hosting with ease and generosity. Gentlemen hosting traditions often center on simple pleasures: a well-tended fire, quality ingredients kissed by real wood smoke,
• 2 oz bourbon
• 2 oz peach puree
• 2 oz lemonade
cold drinks in hand and plenty of room for stories and laughter.
This summer, we’re also excited to introduce a more casual dining experience for breakfast, lunch and dinner to complement our traditional high tea service. These walk-infriendly options will make it even easier to drop in, slow down and enjoy southern comfort anytime.
I’m sharing two elevated yet approachable grilled recipes that lean into those traditions. We’ve incorporated Dr. K’s Tenn Cans - those clever Tennessee-made smoker cans that turn any grill into a smoker in minutes with real
cherry, pecan or hickory wood pellets - and Bourbon Barrel Foods Bourbon Smoked Chef’s Blend, a perfect balance of bourbon-smoked salt, pepper, paprika, garlic and herbs. Plus, a creamy bacon cheese dip swirled with our own Smoked Peach Habanero Jam for that sweet heat finish every gentleman will love.
We’d love to see how you serve these at your table! Tag us @forkofthesouth so we can celebrate with you. Gentlemen (and everyone) - come gather with us soon. We can’t wait to welcome you.
Shake and pour over your choice of ice. Garnish with a sprig of mint.

A NATIONAL WATERFRONT REAL ESTATE AUTHORITY NOW CALLS SMITH LAKE HOME

For nearly three decades, LakeHouse. com has been one of the nation's leading online marketplaces for waterfront real estate. Since 1997, the platform has connected buyers and sellers searching for lakefront homes, waterfront condos, lots, land and investment properties across the United States and beyond.
Today, the company enters an exciting new chapter under the sole ownership of Joseph Carter, founder of Joseph Carter Realty and one of Lewis Smith Lake's most recognized real estate professionals and largest team.
Recently acquired from its original ownership group in Fort Worth, Texas, LakeHouse.com has officially relocated its headquarters to the shores of Lewis Smith Lake in Alabama. The move brings together the power of a nationally recognized waterfront real estate platform with one of the Southeast's most successful lake real estate teams.
Over the course of nearly twenty years specializing in waterfront real estate, Joseph Carter and his team have helped thousands of buyers and sellers navigate the Smith Lake market. Through dedication, local expertise
and innovative marketing, Joseph Carter Realty has grown into one of the largest and most productive real estate teams on Lewis Smith Lake, contributing to more than $1 billion in real estate sales.
"Over the years, I've had the privilege of helping families from Brentwood, Franklin, Williamson County, and communities throughout the Southeast find or sell their dream waterfront home," says Carter. "The acquisition of Dream Home Network and LakeHouse.com represents an incredible opportunity to combine local expertise with national reach."
As owner of Dream Home Network, Carter now oversees a growing portfolio of niche real estate marketplaces that attract highly motivated buyers searching for specialized property types. These platforms connect consumers directly with waterfront, beach, mountain, golf, equestrian and luxury real estate opportunities nationally and internationally.
The combination of Joseph Carter Realty's local market knowledge and LakeHouse.com's national exposure creates a powerful advantage for buyers and sellers alike. Properties marketed
through the network benefit from targeted exposure to high-intent consumers actively searching for waterfront real estate, providing a level of visibility that traditional marketing channels often struggle to match.
For homeowners considering selling their waterfront property, the partnership offers unmatched reach. For buyers, it provides direct access to one of the largest collections of waterfront homes, condos, lots and land available online.
As LakeHouse.com continues to grow from its new home on Lewis Smith Lake, Carter remains committed to the same mission that has driven his real estate career for nearly two decades: connecting families with exceptional waterfront properties and delivering industryleading marketing solutions for sellers.

the unlikely birthplace of countless recordings that would shape generations. Artists traveled from across the country, and, eventually, across the world, to capture something they couldn’t quite find anywhere else. Whether it was the sound crafted by FAME Studios or the legendary Muscle Shoals rhythm section, there was a nuance to the Shoals that defied emulation.
Today, that legacy continues to captivate audiences and SkyDog: The Shoals Experience offers a rare opportunity to step inside the
At the center of it all is Rodney Hall, son of legendary producer and music pioneer Rick Hall, whose visionary work at FAME Studios helped launch and shape the careers of artists including, but not limited to, Aretha Franklin, Wilson Pickett, Etta James and countless others. As Rodney says, one of the most vital elements of FAME Studio’s legacy is passing down to new generations what they call “handmade music,” the authentic sound of the Shoals, made for humans, by humans. Rodney highlights his father’s ambition, noting that he “was never chasing perfection as much as he was chasing authenticity,” which may be precisely why the

recordings have stood the test of time.
This summer, Williamson County residents will have the opportunity to experience a piece of that legacy firsthand as SkyDog brings the undeniable sound and soul of Muscle Shoals to the stage. More than just a concert, the threeday festival is a celebration of the musicians and recording studios that transformed a small Alabama river town into one of the world's most influential music destinations. Rodney has endearingly described the festival as a “cruise ship on land,” with not only music but also southern fare, artist conversations, film screenings, interactive events and more. Rather than feeling overcrowded, the weekend is designed to cultivate “personal, immersive and relaxed” experiences in the Shoals, as Rodney states. As important as anything else to Rodney, SkyDog helps “reinforce a sense of pride in the community” by supporting all things local.
One cannot mention Muscle Shoals without name-dropping Duane Allman. Before cofounding the Allman Brothers, Duane spent time in Muscle Shoals as a sought-after session guitarist, lending his distinctive style to recordings that helped define the era. His

extraordinary talent quickly made him a fixture in the studios, and his connection to the Shoals became an important aspect of both his own career and the broader life of southern rock. The nickname “SkyDog,” which inspires the festival’s title, was famously bestowed upon Allman and remains synonymous with his enduring legacy.
While musicians have long revered the Shoals, public fascination with the town reached new heights following the release of the acclaimed 2013 documentary Muscle Shoals. The film introduced a brand-new generation to the story of a small Alabama community whose influence stretched far beyond its size. Featuring interviews with artists including Bono, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Alicia Keys, the documentary reignited interest in the studios that helped shape modern music. For many viewers, it was the first glimpse into the deep-rooted history that unfolded along the Tennessee River. As Rodney noted, the documentary changed perceptions “locally, as well as internationally.” Before the documentary,
songwriting and publishing “kept the doors open,” says Rodney, but after, “there has been a major resurgence in the recording studio business.” The Shoals is no longer a “behind-the-scenes music engine” in Rodney’s words, but truly at the “beginning of a second wave.”
Though much has come to the Shoals in the last ten to fifteen years, nothing has become as essential as the stunning Renaissance Shoals Resort & Spa in neighboring Florence. As Rodney mentions, before the Renaissance Shoals, they “struggled for decades [to put] artists up and [entertain] them.” Located close to the renowned FAME Studios, the hotel has accommodated artists coming to Alabama and, in a large way, has intertwined itself into the area’s music scene. In March of 2026, the largest public exhibition of The Rolling Stones memorabilia, CAUTION! Stones Ahead, opened in the Renaissance Hotel, featuring over 2,000 items. This is no random exhibit, as The Rolling Stones spent three days recording at the Muscle Shoals Sound Studio back in 1969. The Renaissance
Shoals has managed to bring luxury alongside southern hospitality to the small town, livening up the city in a grand way. As Rodney notes of Larry Bowser, the general manager of the Renaissance Shoals, “he saw the potential that a lot of locals couldn’t see.” The hotel also offers the best view of the entire area, with their uniquely spectacular 360 Grille. Very appropriately named, the restaurant slowly spins to reveal different perspectives from 300 feet above the ground, offering a new view of the town.
From the grooves of southern soul to the rock-and-roll spirit that drew musicians from around the world, SkyDog captures the magic of the town and wraps it into one musical and cultural experience. As the Shoals has grown, the introduction of venues such as the Renaissance Shoals Resort & Spa has made it, as Rodney says, “fertile” for an event like SkyDog. With the resort’s accommodations and generosity, the weekend offers visitors “everything that makes [the] area special
into one immersive weekend.” If you have never had the opportunity to visit Muscle Shoals, SkyDog is the perfect reason to finally experience the cultural phenomenon. It is Rodney’s hope that visitors leave the festival feeling “inspired, with a deeper appreciation for the legacy of the Shoals and the realization that this music culture is still very much alive today.” For longtime music lovers and newcomers alike, SkyDog: The Shoals Experience offers a rare opportunity to experience the enduring influence of one of America's most iconic recording communities.
As a welcome to YOUR Williamson readers, SkyDog: The Shoals Experience is offering a ten-percent discount on tickets using the promo code "YourWilliamson" at checkout. To learn more about the festival and secure your spot, visit skydogshoals.com.

new product is hitting the market soon, turning seventy pounds of beach essentials into a portable twelve-pound bundle you can easily carry on your back. Three Independence High School students with go-getter attitudes, saw an opportunity to create something that made life a little simpler. SipBack is more than just a beach chair, with an integrated beverage tap system and a detachable insulated cooler module, it is designed to keep your drinks cold all day long. For an added benefit, mesh pockets were integrated into the design to secure all of your valuables, making your trip to the beach totally hand - and hassle - free.
The trio of high schoolers, who are also
participants in the Williamson County Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center, came up an inventive idea and found a way to make it happen. The team - Harrison Smith, CEO, Graham Kosobud, Marketing, and Hudson Oakes, Sales/Finance - have been friends for years. Their journey with SipBack began in a garage, when Harrison repurposed a windshield wiper pump by attaching it to a beach chair. The three decided then and there that this had to be the perfect product for all of the dads out there, who break their backs to ensure that their family has everything needed for a full beach day.
Despite being busy with athletics and academics, the boys have successfully managed the challenges of running a business as seventeen-year-old students, always finding a

few hours each week to push SipBack’s success forward. Fortunately, the three have benefited greatly from exceptional mentorship, with the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center playing a major role in their journey.
The dream for SipBack is big, and their blaring passion shows in every conversation. When the boys were asked, “What has been pivotal in making SipBack happen?” Harrison so keenly responded: “Learning to chase progress over perfection.” The team has faced many challenges in the creation and launch of SipBack, and the lessons learned have only grounded them in their mission to push forward. Focusing on their progress has allowed their creativity to flourish, something that is evident in not only their product, but the way in which they speak about their business.

The trio could not be more proud of what they have accomplished, and their well-deserved pride makes them all the more eager to share SipBack with the world. Developing a convenient, practical product is no small task, but their determination has set them apart. Between classes and studying, the team has taken trips to pitch their product to potential clients, such as locations in 30A, music venues and more. The team’s next goal is to sell their product here in Williamson County.
If you are looking for the perfect gift for the hard-to-shop-for person in your life, SipBack is the ultimate choice. Not only are you supporting young entrepreneurs in our community, but this unique gift will be sure to stand out. SipBack is perfect for beach dads, college tailgaters, music festival lovers, and anyone who appreciates convenience.

hat happens when the title changes?
For many women, life is marked by a series of titles. Executive. Entrepreneur. Manager. Founder. Mother. Mentor. Community leader.
Some titles are earned through years of hard work. Others arrive unexpectedly. Some stay for decades. Others last only a season.
Yet the most influential women understand something important: a title may describe a role, but it never tells the whole story.
That idea is at the heart of Williamson, Inc.'s 2026 Women's Leadership Conference, Beyond the Title, a day designed to inspire women at every stage of their professional and personal journey.
Whether you're building a business from the ground up, leading a team, pursuing your next promotion, navigating a career transition,or exploring what's next, this conference is designed to equip you with practical tools, fresh perspectives and meaningful connections.
The day begins with an energizing keynote from Dew Tinnin, Founder and President of Skillway, who will challenge attendees to think differently about growth, leadership and the opportunities that emerge when we invest in ourselves and others.
From there, attendees will create their own conference experience through a variety of breakout sessions focused on leadership, communication, health, personal growth and professional development. Rather than a one-size-fits-all agenda, women will have the opportunity to select the conversations most relevant to their goals, challenges and aspirations.
Then, after a morning of learning and connection, everyone will come together for the conference's signature luncheon keynote. Jenny Reimold's story is the embodiment of this year's theme.
A mother of seven, high-profile designer, lifestyle influencer, former publicist, author, media personality and entrepreneur, Jenny has built a career that cannot be captured by a single title. From having her home featured as a Property Brothers Dream Home to partnering with national brands, working with celebrity clients and appearing in outlets including People, Southern Living, House Beautiful, Forbes and Good Morning America, Jenny's journey has been defined not by a position but by a willingness to embrace new opportunities, new seasons and new versions of herself.
In her keynote, Beyond the Title, Jenny will challenge attendees to consider who they are apart from their position, accomplishments or responsibilities. Through stories, insights, and practical takeaways, she will explore how purpose-driven leadership is built not on a title, but on character, influence, relationships and the impact we have on those around us.
Because the women who leave the greatest mark on their organizations, businesses, families and communities are rarely remembered for the title they held.
They're remembered for the lives they changed.
Join us for a day of inspiration, connection and growth as we explore what it truly means to lead beyond the title. The conference is August 27th at Embassy Suites in Franklin. For more details, visit williamsonchamber.com.

Grover Carlock Sr. had a passion for cars, and while he encountered many customers in his life, none were as memorable as Elvis Presley, who bought his first car from Grover. The story of Carlock Automotive started with more than just a vision; it took a healthy dose of brotherly trust, plus some hard work along the way. In the very small and unassuming town of Guntown, Mississippi, Grover founded a modest used car lot with his brother’s support. It was the 1950s, and the two brothers were planting a seed that would grow far beyond their imagination and years. Grover operated C.C. Motors in East Tupelo before moving to Blytheville, Arkansas, and opening a Pontiac dealership in 1967. After this, the Carlock legacy was officially born – a strong foundation that would uplift the Carlock name for generations to come.
This dealership would prove to be a humble beginning for what would eventually become one of the South’s most respected multi-brand automotive groups.
“Williamson County is where our family and our business have grown side by side.”
In 1964, the family tree grew a new leaf in the form of a son, Grover Clayborn “Clay” Carlock Jr. He grew up inside the dealership, speaking to customers and learning the rhythms of the business. By the time Clay was old enough to step up, he was more than ready and raring to go.

It was in 1998 that Clay opened Carlock Nissan in Jackson, Tennessee, making his first major move as a principal and continuing the tradition of bold and business-minded Carlock boys. The following year, the family acquired Nissan of Tupelo in Mississippi, expanding the Carlock name in the mid-south. Clay inherited a belief from his family that the right brand in the right community can build something special that lasts, and he was right.
Five years later, in 2003, the family expanded to the Toyota of Tupelo, adding to their successful portfolio and strengthening the Carlock presence in Mississippi with their very trusted nameplate. It was the Carlock’s business savvy and community commitment that brought them the combination of Nissan and Toyota, anchoring them in the market with dual-brand

depth. Later, in 2014, the family also acquired the Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram franchise in Tupelo.
One of the most transformational moves for the family business was the opening of Carlock Motorcars in Brentwood, Tennessee, bringing the Carlocks to Williamson County in a big way. Clay says this move circled around the idea of “being more than a place that people buy a car,” but really “to be part of the fabric of this community.” Williamson County, as he says, had a certain “sophistication, energy and quality of life you'd expect from a major metropolitan area,” which made it the perfect location, full of “intentionality.”
Carlock Motorcars brought the best of the best: Aston Martin, Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Maserati, Alfa Romeo and Lotus. This move, orchestrated by Clay Carlock, put the family dealer from Mississippi on the map. Clay says that opening such an opulent and refined location has felt like “owning part of a professional sports team,” always remaining at the pinnacle of excellence. By 2021, the Carlocks looked to Nashville. The group acquired three Volkswagen dealerships
in a single strategic move, making the Carlock name the most dominant Volkswagen presence in Middle Tennessee. As Clay so aptly stated, the Carlocks are always “[challenging themselves] to be even better today than [they] were yesterday,” and these efforts are clear in every acquisition.
The years that followed only brought more momentum to the Carlocks, expanding into Alabama, Louisiana and even Indiana. The Carlock’s ambition, having crossed the Ohio River, proved that they were no longer bound by the south but ready for northward expansion.
Today, the Carlock Automotive Group represents fifteen brands operating in Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana and Indiana. Though the group has grown in both measurable and immeasurable ways, one thing stays the same: it is still the family that started that used-car lot in Mississippi. The beating heart of Carlock is their family name, passing passion from generation to generation.
Currently, Trace Carlock serves as CEO, the third generation in the leadership role. Volkswagen
Cool Springs is managed by Campbell Carlock with Wesley Carlock in the marketing department. Clay stated that passing the business on to his three sons has been “a dream come true,” and watching the boys develop their passions for the business is one of the greatest rewards of his efforts.
The Carlock family now calls Williamson County their home. The county became a place to watch the generations grow, steeped in the values of “hard work, real relationships and taking care of people,” as Clay says.
The Carlocks built upon the roots that Grover Sr. planted back in the 1950s. After Grover started with a lot, his son, Clay, built a regional force, and Grover’s grandchildren are taking it national. The family grows one dealership, one community and one customer at a time. With the growth, there is still a motto the family lives by... As their grandfather would say: "Come in a customer, leave as a friend."

he stories of African American service members from Williamson County showcase a historic legacy of service and courage. From over 300 formerly enslaved men fighting for the Union to heroes like Medal of Honor recipient First Sergeant George Jordan and Tuskegee Airman Captain Thomas Patton, these individuals broke barriers and faced the gravest dangers, including PFC Richard Carothers, who was honored posthumously for his service in Vietnam. Their stories, along with those of countless others who served in every American conflict since the Civil War, embody a profound commitment to our country. Their sacrifices and achievements forge a poignant reminder of their indispensable contributions to the nation's history.
Our community has joined hands to honor the achievements, dedication and unwavering fidelity of these great Americans. A current project will raise $500,000 to restore and update the current building. Exhibits will be added to create a museum that will tell the story of Williamson County’s African American Veterans, and an endowment will be established to safeguard the post in perpetuity.
Also, as part of the ongoing recognition of the valiant service and sacrifice of the nation’s military members, the Williamson County African American Veterans Foundation is accepting nominations for the 2026 Veterans Awards in three categories:
• Veterans of the Year
Veteran Support Organization of the Year
• Lifetime Legacy Veteran of the Year
Award recipients will be selected from those who have enthusiastically served and supported veterans in the county. According to Foundation Chair and U.S. Army Vietnam veteran Donnell Lane, “Last year was an extraordinary opportunity to highlight the contributions of our award recipients. The men and women from Williamson County who serve in uniform have made tremendous contributions and sacrifices in defense of this nation throughout our history. These awards recognize individual contributions beyond military service and the organizations that support our veterans.”
Nominations for the award will be due by August 15th and will be accepted in three categories: individual living veterans, individual past veterans and an organization
not directly chartered to support veterans but that does so as a commitment to serving our veterans. Selection criteria include outstanding community service, notable achievements and participation in beneficial community organizations and activities.
For consideration as the Veteran or Organization of the Year, nominations must be for a veteran who was honorably discharged from the U.S. military and is or was a resident of or employed in Williamson County, or for an organization that has a record of supporting military veterans. Nominations must be submitted by August 15th, and selected recipients will be announced at an awards event held the week before Veterans Day.
The 2026 event is scheduled for November 5th, with retiring Williamson County Mayor Rogers Anderson serving as the keynote speaker. To nominate an individual or organization, email the name to americanlegion215tn@gmail.com to receive a nomination form. ranklin author and preservationist Pamela Lewis has reimagined Benjamin Franklin for a new generation.
As the United States marks its 250th anniversary, Franklin, a city named for one of America's most celebrated Founding Fathers, is getting into the spirit in a big way. Local author, historian and philanthropist Pamela Lewis has released a new book about Benjamin Franklin titled Benjamin Franklin: America's First Rockstar, a full-color commemorative guidebook for all ages.

The release coincides with Pamela’s donation of a bronze "Ben on the Bench" statue, crafted by acclaimed sculptor George Lundeen, now permanently installed in downtown Franklin. The statue was gifted in collaboration with city leaders and the local Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Old Glory Chapter.
Shakespeare to Frida Kahlo and Rumi, painting Franklin as a timeless Renaissance man and cultural icon.
"I thought, he is really America's DaVinci - truly our first 'rockstar' and Renaissance man," Pamela said. "I wanted to amuse, connect the dots and bring facts, fun and quirky humor to a story that deserves to be told again."
Pamela, an award-winning preservationist, music industry executive and civic leader, was also inspired by a historical connection many residents don't know: Franklin, Tennessee, is not only named for Benjamin Franklin, but neighboring Williamson County is named for his close friend and fellow patriot, Hugh Williamson.

"I have fond memories as a youth ambassador to Japan during our country's bicentennial celebration," said Pamela. "The whole world was tapped into the excitement. I wanted to spur that same enthusiasm for America's 250th and show my love for my adopted hometown."
The book takes a deliberately fresh and playful approach to Franklin's life and legacy. America's First Rockstar weaves in quotes from luminaries across the ages, from Eleanor Roosevelt and

"Every generation inherits a story, but not every generation connects with it," said Robbie Grayson III, publisher at Traitmarker Media. "Pamela Lewis has taken one of our most brilliant and complex figures and made Benjamin Franklin accessible, engaging and alive again - for both adults and children. That is no small achievement."
Pamela’s books are available at Landmark Booksellers, The Carter House, Carnton, Twine Graphics, Belmont Mansion in Nashville, Amazon and major online retailers. More information available at plamedia.com.

In a city famous for country music, The CliffNotes have spent decades doing their own thing. Mixing soul, rhythm and blues, jazz, reggae, Latin music, and funk, the local band has built a reputation for performances that are smooth, energetic and impossible not to move to.
Led by guitarist and vocalist Cliff Richmond, The CliffNotes are not locked into one sound or one setup. Depending on the occasion, the band can perform as a smaller group for intimate clubs and private events or expand into a full band for festivals and larger venues. Cliff works with some of Nashville’s most talented musicians and vocalists, giving every performance its own personality and feel.
Cliff’s musical journey started early. Growing up in New Jersey just outside New York City, he was surrounded by great music from the start. “There was always really excellent music around,” Cliff says. “I was influenced by the terrific rhythm and blues, rock, soul and jazz bands that were everywhere.”
Over time, those influences blended naturally
into his playing style. After moving to Nashville, the music evolved even more. “The sound changed and relaxed a little,” he says, “taking on a more earthy, spacious feel.”
Cliff has seen some legendary artists perform over the years, and those experiences clearly left their mark. His list of unforgettable shows includes Jimi Hendrix, The Allman Brothers, The Who, Duke Ellington, Sarah Vaughan, Weather Report, Sonny Rollins, George Benson, Teddy Pendergrass, Luther Vandross, Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin, B.B. King, Albert King, Buddy Guy, Jimmy Cliff, The Wailers and Tower of Power.
That wide range of inspiration shows up in The CliffNotes’ music. One song may lean heavily into jazz grooves while the next slides into funk, reggae or classic soul. The band’s ability to move effortlessly between styles is part of what keeps audiences engaged.
The CliffNotes have also become crowd favorites at our annual Pours & Palates event, bringing the perfect mix of energy, musicianship and fun to the evening. Their
performances consistently keep guests entertained from start to finish and help create the warm, upbeat atmosphere the event is known for.
For Cliff, though, the best part of performing is much simpler than musical technique or genre. “We love spreading the joy and magic of music,” he says. “Regardless of the setting - a large, packed venue, an intimate club or event - what an honor it is to see the audience start to groove, flow, smile and relax. We all need more of that!”
That spirit may be the reason The CliffNotes have remained a fixture in the local music scene for so long. The band is less concerned with fitting into one category and more interested in creating a great atmosphere, connecting with audiences and making people feel good. And after decades of performances, they are still doing exactly that.
To learn more about The CliffNotes and booking, contact Cliff at cliffnote1@gmail.com.

While I was not the first president of the United States, I was the first president to live in the White House. I died on July 4th, 1826, at ninety years old, fifty years after the signing of The Declaration of Independence and the same day as my rival, Thomas Jefferson.
HNJO MAASD
I am widely know for a multitude of things such as being a writer, scientist, inventor, diplomat, printer and political philosopher. Although I was never president, I was inducted into the United States Chess Hall of Fame in 1999. There are thirty-two incorporated cities and towns named after me - outnumbering almost all other Founding Fathers.
IBNMAJNE NNRFKLIA
I was born on an island in the West Indies out of wedlock. One of my greatest strengths was being a writer. I wrote essays that were published in newspapers as a teenager that resulted in me getting sent to New York for college. I famously wrote fifty-one of the eighty-five Federalist Papers, and I even wrote a response about my affair that became public called The Reynolds Pamphlet
RXDANAELE HITNLMAO
While I never actually ran for president, I was elected and served two terms. I never took a salary during my presidency and even used some of my own money to pay salaries in the executive branch. I am the only president to not live in the White House.
OEGEGR ONINWGSATH
I am known for being the shortest president standing at 5’4. I was the “Father of the Constitution” and was once arrested with Thomas Jefferson for carriage riding because it was illegal on Sundays. While I am no Hamilton, I did write George Washington’s first speech as president.
