Ă˜l, the the Danish word for beer, is also the name of Walnut Creek’s 3-year-old beercafe and bottle shop. Ambiance here is what I would consider more wine bar than beer cafe, with upcycled goods featured in most of the decor. The lively room can get a bit noisy when busy. Ă˜l features 18 brews on tap and stocks hundreds of bottles, which can either be enjoyed there or taken home. Or, ask your bartender to put together a blind flight for you. A comfortable setting to enjoy craft beers with friends, though sports fans won’t find TVs here. If hunger strikes, a couple of pizza selections from Skipolini’s next door are available for delivery. Founded in 2011, Schubros opened their San Ramon tap room just last year. Schubros Brewery is the vision of four beer & food industry aficionados who have achieved great success in getting get their beer distributed. You can purchase Schubros craft beers in more than 250 locations. Generally, six Schubros brews are available in the tap room, which is hidden in an industrial building. They also have a hand crafted barley wine on tap. Stop in after work to enjoy a pint or a flight with co-workers. The tap room is small, so there’s no fuss, no TVs and no distractions. Parenting at any time of the year can be difficult when parents have separated. This is especially true as the holidays approach. The best way to ensure happy peaceful exchanges of the children during the year end period is to exercise productive behaviors when communicating and dealing with the other parent. Here are some approaches to consider when you are faced with difficult situations in parenting. Switch visitation nights if your ex needs to do this. Don’t give him or her a hard time about it. Staying flexible in developing a parenting plan is the best way to allow for better cooperation between you and the other parent. It may also benefit you at times when you might need a change in the schedule. Say a friendly hello in the driveway when he or she comes to get the kids. Cordial conversation is never a bad idea. Behaving in this fashion particularly in front of the children supports the fact that the parents have their focus on behaving as best they can to assist the children in having a good time with both parents. The marriage or relationship may be over, but the parenting isn’t. Always look for the higher ground on how you express yourself to the other parent, especially in front of the children. You can control the outcome and the tone of how a parenting exchange takes place. I hope these suggestions will be useful to you. These tools have worked quite well during my 35 years of helping family law clients deal with parenting issues.

delighted to see the return of the glass pumpkin patch, a grassy area that features more than one thousand one-of-a-kind, handblown pumpkins and flowers in a myriad of shapes and hues. While some of the glass pumpkins are small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, others weigh several pounds, and each is absolutely spectacular. This festival includes fun for the kids, too. There will be a children’s costume parade on Saturday at 10am starting at FAZ Restaurant (600 Hartz Avenue), children’s activities on School Street, the Museum of the San Ramon Valley train and safe trick or treating with local merchants on both days. A stage at the corner of Hartz Avenue and Hartz Way will provide attendees with music as well as several street corner musicians
throughout the Festival. Ever wonder how artists create their masterpieces? The Alamo Danville Artists’ FESTIVA L Society will return this Saturday & Sunday, year, giving passersOctober 25 & 26 ‡ 10am-5pm by the opportunity to witness works from start to finish, as artists set up shop and create pieces based on the goings-on during the two-day festival.
