YOUR TOWN A ‘Nock out’ talent stunt Daredevil Annaliese Nock blew audiences away June 19 during her first appearance on “America’s Got Talent.” In a stunt called the Exploding Coffin, Nock locked herself in a wooden box filled with six sticks of dynamite and walked away without a scratch. The 21-year-old is the daughter of comic daredevil and circus performer Bello Nock, who was a contestant on the show last season and a world-renowned clown. The younger Nock advances to the next round of the competition thanks to her risk-taking performance.

What could be more Florida than an alligator hanging outside of a Publix? Deputies with the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office and Animal Services were met with a baby alligator June 24 in a Publix parking lot on Fruitville Road. Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Kaitlyn Perez said the alligator was cooling off underneath a boat trailer before it was relocated. A Facebook post from the Sheriff’s Office reminded people to also look under their trailers before backing up.
