It’s grand There was a sea of yellow Dec. 3 at the R.L. Taylor Center to celebrate the 100th birthday of prominent Newtown resident Glossie Atkins. Community members wore bright yellow T-shirts with a photo of the beloved Newtown matriarch. They gathered to honor her life with friends, fellowship and, of course, dancing.

Turkey time Manasota Flooring is spreading holiday cheer this season with a turkey giveaway for law enforcement and first responders.
