NIGHT OF GOLD Whitney Elfstrom
Restaurant celebrates 10th Wendy Lee Goldberg was struck by inspiration in April 2009 to transform a dilapidated bungalow on Fruitville Road into a restaurant, and on Dec. 14, The Breakfast House will celebrate its 10year anniversary. After renovating the 1920s house by herself, she soon found herself serving more than 100 people breakfast and lunch each day. Goldberg’s success with The Breakfast House inspired her landlord to forgo his plan to tear down the bungalows along Fruitville and instead create Historic Downtown Village. The first 100 people to order coffee on Saturday at The Breakfast House will receive a celebration cup.
