Murray and Alice Bluegrass.
Bluegrasses celebrate 50th Alice and Murray Bluegrass celebrated 50 years of love with those who love them. At a recent Sabbath dinner at Temple Beth Israel, the couple was recognized for their work with the Temple and for their love for each other. They both spoke to the crowd, thanking them and wishing people a life of happiness similar to theirs. “[What’s important is] recognizing the worth of the person you’re married to and supporting them in every way,” said Murray Bluegrass. “We are truly blessed.”
Donate directly to the Bahamas Hurricane Dorian missed Florida, but the Bahamas were hit hard. Star Woods-Gordon, a native Bahamian whose brother still lives in the islands, is collecting anything and everything to send to the devastated island nation. Two friends of hers in Fort Lauderdale have access to 25 planes to ferry supplies to the nation. WoodsGordon will collect supplies including dry goods, clothes, diapers and checks to take to Fort Lauderdale. Those who can donate can drop things off at Temple Beth Israel, 567 Bay Isles Road.
