Cheers to four years Longbeach Cafe has officially been serving up its menu for four years. On April 2, 2014, the cafe opened in the former Isabelle’s Eatery location. “It’s been great just watching it come back to life,” Co-owner Jeff Daly said. The cafe celebrated with customers and a cake, despite a slight error in the frosting that called it the Longboat Cafe.

Easter Eggstravaganza Longboat Island Chapel hopped right into Easter April 1. At sunrise, the Rev. Bill Friederich officiated a special service with music included. Then, at the 10 a.m. service congregants could place flowers in a straw cross for the “Flowering of the Cross” and watch it come alive with vibrant color. After the 10 a.m. service, an egg hunt was held.
