Spreading Christmas cheer Members of Christ Church, Presbyterian, Longboat Key, are spreading good cheer this holiday season. Members sang Christmas carols Dec. 9 at various nursing and retirement facilities. From Plymouth Harbor on Sarasota Bay to places in Lakewood Ranch, many people were touched by the choir, led by Lutie Uihlein. Their first stop, though, was the Longboat Key Fire-Rescue, where they sang to first responders.

Sandy Finnegan and Longboat Key Club Director of Golf Terry O’Hara
Holiday hole-in-one The chilly temperatures last week didn’t stop Sandy Finnegan from having an exciting round of golf. During the Longboat Key Club’s Women’s Golf Association and the Key Niners annual Frosty Frolic event Dec. 11, Finnegan shot a hole-in-one on the 105-yard third hole of the Harbourside red course. It was Finnegan’s fifth career hole-in-one and her second on that hole. Every hole-inone she’s made has been on Longboat Key.
