Light up the Observer
ALL TOGETHER
Is your neighborhood looking merry and bright? If so, we want to know. The Longboat Observer is making its list and checking it twice to find the most vibrant holiday lights across the island. If your house, or your neighbor’s, is lighting up the neighborhood, email kjohns@yourobserver.com by Dec. 11. It could end up in our Christmas issue. Please include the address and a photo, if possible.

The Pettingell family handed out Thanksgiving pies Nov. 22 to clients. Any leftover pies were donated to local food shelters.
A sweet tradition For more than 10 years, Coldwell Banker International sales agent Roger Pettingell has made Thanksgiving a little sweeter for his clients. This year was no exception. On Nov. 22, Pettingell ordered more than 140 pies from Yoder’s Amish Village to give to his current and past clients. Pettingell and his sons, Jake and Max, and wife, Alisa, handed out the pies as clients stopped by the office. Leftovers pies were donated.
