Happy birthday, Bonnie! On Oct. 15, Bonnie Cocchiaraley got a little surprise. Cocchiaraley celebrates her 95th birthday Oct. 29, and to mark the occasion, her friends held a surprise party for her at Westchester Condominiums, where she lives. Her friends baked her a cake and decorated an outside Tiki hut, but a downpour forced them to move the celebration indoors.

Family affair On Aug. 3, Longboat Key residents Jacob and Sophie Pollack celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary. It was decided the entire family would celebrate over Columbus Day weekend. To make the weekend even more special, the Pollacks’ granddaughter, Ariane Pollack, married Jeff Spross on Oct. 8 at Zota Beach Resort. Rabbi Stephen Sniderman of Temple Beth Israel officiated the ceremony.
