Karen Coltun and Alan Yaruss married Oct. 12.
Sweet things
Former Longboat Key residents Karen Coltun and Alan Yaruss were married Oct. 12 at the Sarasota County Courthouse. The couple is originally from New York City, where they met 25 years ago. Coltun and Yaruss are active at the Longboat Key Tennis Center. Coltun works part time at the Longboat Key Publix deli and Yaruss is a designer and real estate investor. In 2014, the two started their own dessert company.
